Came here October 8 2026 for an event in a private room. Event was not great, but restaurant was much better. The food portions did seem a little small but I do understand that some places are just that way. I had the meat lasagna and it did taste good, though I felt it could have been cooked a little more. I also was a little disappointed that dessert was not offered but also get I could have asked. The place was very tidy and neat and seemed well kept. Very elegant but we didn't feel out of place dressed casually. There were people really draws up and some really casual. We started with a glass of wine. I had a Pinot Grigio and my husband had a Cab. There was a large selection of wine and the waiter was very knowledgeable. We had cevapi to start out with. It was so flavorful and beautifully presented. Then I had the paisano and my husband had addiolio. It was a delicious blend of flavors. My husband and I visited with another couple for lunch on a Saturday. We received a friendly greeting upon entering and were seated immediately without a reservation. It was 1PM, so the restaurant was mostly empty. I loved the round booth, although the table itself was a bit small for four adults. A server appeared within a couple minutes, and our drink orders were taken (we all had water). About 5 minutes later, we were served bread with a bottle of oil & balsamic vinegar mixture. I didn't realize there was vinegar at the bottom of the bottle, so did not shake it and merely poured off the top, getting only oil. Therefore, I got the full effect of the oil taste, and it was noticably stale. I asked the husband of the other couple what he thought, since he is a former award-winning executive chef. He agreed with my assessment, and he actually had shaken up the mixture. We did not order any appetizers/tapas before our meal. For entrees, my husband ordered the lasagna, and loved it. My friend's husband (the chef) ordered a salad (idk which one) with salmon, and said it was good. My girlfriend and I ordered flatbread pizzas--her the Margherita, and me the Albanese (pepperoni). She didn't eat much of hers, but didn't comment as to whether she had issues with it. I found mine to be over done and lacking in flavor. The pepperoni was dry. Based on other reviews, I would like to come back for dinner with my husband and try some tapas or one of the signature entrees (specifically the lobster ravioli, though it has mixed reviews). I found the pricing to be more than I wanted to pay for lunch, though, which is why I ordered a flatbread pizza. We only had four people but were seated in a massive, comfortable booth. I really enjoyed the Cevapi (Lamb Sausage) which was accompanied by an excellent sauce. This was my 2nd time at Dua and honestly, I think people are gatekeeping this spot, but I won't ! We went on an early Saturday eve with no reservations and got seated right away. If you're dining solo, they have a huge bar where you can grab a cocktail and a bite to eat. I saw a number of people doing that and it was super chill. This place feels fancy and lux, but it's still casual enough that you don't have to dress up. My friend and I were in a laid back kind of mood and didn't feel out of place at all. Plus the service was top level. We started with the burek appetizer, it was flakey and warm and cheesy. This is a must order for me. Yum! I went with the Dua again a spicy seafood pasta that is incredible !!! It reminds me of a cioppino I used to love back in San Diego. Don't let the capers and anchovies scare you off, the anchovies dissolve into the sauce and give it this perfect salty kick that balanced the tomatoes. Ugh... soooo good ! They did tragically forget to bring us bread but my portion was so big , I took half home and enjoyed it later with some crusty bread. My friend got the chicken parm. She swore she'd only eat half but it was so yummy, she couldn't stop eating it and polished off the whole thing. Everything was stellar and surprisingly reasonably priced. I'm already planning on coming back to try the meat lasagna and sea bass piccata. This is not your typical basic pasta place. Decided to give this place a try for something new. The staff were friendly but our dishes were "ok". The pasta did not seem fresh and was a bit tough. The charcuterie board had 4 types of meat and just 3 tiny wedges of cheese. It was nothing special and had the smallest slivers of apple that left you wondering about their purpose. We saw him frequently walking around, straightening tables, and just when he would look in our direction, he would turn back around and disappear. I got the salmon and shrimp special that comes with basil risotto...it was delicious! My husband had the meat lasagna and he added sausage... he said it was amazing. Perfect Private Party Location! I hosted a retirement party for my mentor tonight at DUA TRATTORIA, and they pulled off an amazing night for us. We had 50ish people and plenty of space in their private rooms. Food was raved about by all of our guests all night. The service was perfect, Sabina is amazing. Also it did seem a little overpriced considering the amount of seafood that was on my plate. I was glad a new place moved in here after Black Walnut left. We came here a few days after it opened, and they were still working through the soft launch phase. I thought they did a great job brightening things up, and I love the fact that it is now table service ( Black Walnut was not). They even added a little stage for in the front corner for live entertainment, great addition. The menu had an assortment of starters, salads, and entrées and there was a full bar with wines, craft beers on tap. And cocktails. We had the charcuterie, and it was very good. The meats were top notch, and the bread was very good, although they did not include enough of it based on the price. I was a little disappointed that there was not a pizza selection but rather flatbreads. I think they would do well in this area with a better Neopolitan style pizza option, especially against tough Italian cuisine competition like Gallo Nero down the street and Cane Rosso in the Star. Regardless, my wife and son got the flatbread, and they liked it. I was torn between the egg plant parmegiana and the meat lasagna. I went with the latter. It was a large portion and tasted fine, but it was not as flavorful as I was hoping. The service was excellent. Our waitress was extremely helpful and answered all our questions.
