Upscale intimate vibe at this fine Italian establishment in Frisco. Be prepared for small portion sizes and about $50 a person. We were grateful for the birthday wish. Cupcake and plate art. Lobster ravioli lacked flavor, seems like salt was missing. The eggplant parmesan was delicious, surprisingly! I was not a fan of the meatballs. The entry hostess was very social and pleasant! We were grateful that this establishment has gluten-free (penne) pasta.

I have been wanting to go here because everyone in Frisco raves about this place. First and foremost, the service was spectacular. We only had four people but were seated in a massive, comfortable booth. I really enjoyed the Cevapi (Lamb Sausage) which was accompanied by an excellent sauce. From there, I didn't care too much for the main entrees. I had the Paesano and there wasn't much flavor to it. I enjoyed the simplicity of the olive oil sauce but wished there was more to it. The Lobster Fra Diavlo was so bland but the Julio Caesar was slightly better.

Tip: Make a reservation on Saturdays. This place was pretty packed on the Saturday that we were there. Food: I ordered the Cornish Hen, which was a lot of work, but WORTH IT. The chicken was very well seasoned and was juicy after being roasted to perfection. I wish the veggies had more seasoning. The Brussels sprouts were just boiled and did not taste like anything. It was disappointing! Ambiance: Live music was playing on the stage. It was very low key music so people can talk at their tables. However, because of how the building was built, sound bounced a lot off the walls and ceilings. The place was loud! Service: our server was great! She was stretched thin with the amount of tables that she had to support, but she was still friendly and came by to check in. I liked that her manager helped her out whenever he could!

This was my 2nd time at Dua and honestly, I think people are gatekeeping this spot, but I won't ! We went on an early Saturday eve with no reservations and got seated right away. If you're dining solo, they have a huge bar where you can grab a cocktail and a bite to eat. I saw a number of people doing that and it was super chill. This place feels fancy and lux, but it's still casual enough that you don't have to dress up. My friend and I were in a laid back kind of mood and didn't feel out of place at all. Plus the service was top level. We started with the burek appetizer, it was flakey and warm and cheesy. This is a must order for me. Yum! I went with the Dua again a spicy seafood pasta that is incredible !!! It reminds me of a cioppino I used to love back in San Diego. Don't let the capers and anchovies scare you off, the anchovies dissolve into the sauce and give it this perfect salty kick that balanced the tomatoes. Ugh... soooo good ! They did tragically forget to bring us bread but my portion was so big , I took half home and enjoyed it later with some crusty bread. My friend got the chicken parm. She swore she'd only eat half but it was so yummy, she couldn't stop eating it and polished off the whole thing. Everything was stellar and surprisingly reasonably priced. I'm already planning on coming back to try the meat lasagna and sea bass piccata. This is not your typical basic pasta place. The menu has some really unique and thoughtful dishes and it made for such a fun girls' night out spot. Also perfect for a date night.

We came in for dinner on a Saturday night - the place was relatively happening. Nice ambiance and bar area. We tried the Cevapi which I highly recommend ! Very juicy, flavorful, and moist. The entrees were ok - I got the lobster ravioli and my fiance got the lasagna. Sadly, my ravioli was not served hot - it was just barely warm. Portions are relatively small - ravioli comes with 4 pieces. But I was full The service was amazing - our waitress was very sweet and attentive. You can tell the owner is highly involved as well - which I can always appreciate. All in all, a good experience.

Delicious food. Mostly good service. Based on other reviews, we made a reservation at 6pm for a Saturday evening. As we arrived, we were the second table sat. I'm guessing needing a reservation is hit or miss. We'll continue to make them when we return because by the time we left at 7:30, almost all the tables had been sat. The service was kind and mostly attentive. I think once I had to waive the server down to get the soda my daughter ordered 10 minutes earlier. A small thing. Dessert was fantastic! No pic, sorry! But so delicious! We will return! It was a fantastic dinner!

Decided to give this place a try for something new. The staff were friendly but our dishes were "ok". The pasta did not seem fresh and was a bit tough. The charcuterie board had 4 types of meat and just 3 tiny wedges of cheese. It was nothing special and had the smallest slivers of apple that left you wondering about their purpose. Once we received our food, it was like our waiter avoided our table. We saw him frequently walking around, straightening tables, and just when he would look in our direction, he would turn back around and disappear. We had to wave him down for the dessert menu and then again for the check. I wouldn't return based on our experience.

The Food, Service, and Ambiance here are truly exceptional. Nik, Chris, Sabina, Audi, and the crew make you feel like Family. The welcoming vibe and energy of this place speaks volumes and is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the Vllasaliu Family. We had patronized Eddie Napoli's for several years and I was excited to hear that Nik was branching out when this place opened a few months ago. This is our fourth visit and it continues to be our go-to for Mediterranean Italian Cuisine. Started things off with Mediterranean Margaritas this time. It is clear that only the freshest ingredients are utilized in its preparation. Chris was able to strike just the right balance of flavor and sweet without being too tart. We were also able to enjoy some Garlic Bread with Olive Oil/Balsamic for dipping prior to our entrées. Mom ordered the Beef Stroganoff, I ordered the Prishtina with Lobster (per Chris' suggestion), and we split a Berry Olive Oil Cake for Dessert. Such good food. Will always be on our list of regular restaurant rotations.

There are so many good things to say about this place. You walk in the door and you are greeted by a friendly hostess. We went on a night there was live music and to top it off bottled wine was half price. Everyone we met was so friendly. This is the kind of place you want to make it your go to place. The kind of place you want to take your friends. The food was excellent. We started off with fried calamari and a beet salad. We followed that with Eggplant Parmesan, lobster over pasta, a mixed seafood dish, and a Branzino. We finish the evening with tiramisu and coffee. We highly recommend this place. It was amazing! Go now.

We visited the new Italian restaurant in Frisco where the Black Walnut used to be located. They redesigned the decor very nicely and feels very upscale. The waiters have very snappy outfits with cool aprons. We started by ordering the appetizer and the entrees at the same time. I would not suggest this as they brought out the appetizer with the food. The entrees were mostly cold by the time we finished the salad. I would highly suggest not ordering all the food at the same time. We went with the beet salad because you have to love a beet salad and it was good. The Paesano was very good and all the ingredients were fresh and made for a very good fresh and healthy pasta dish. The lasagna we very good and well with a good meaty taste and not just the cheese and pasta. However, all the portions felt small and when compared to the price didn't help the perception. Both pasta dishes could have used a side of bread to make them not feel so small and a bit more filling. So, you do need to order an appetizer so you don't leave hungry. The do not have any desserts. Given for food portions everyone will have room to want a dessert so this is something they need to work on. They really just need one signature and really knock it out of the park dessert like a fantastic Tiramisu that is a decent size and would have made the meal. They are good and deserve a visit if you want to try a good Italian restaurant but can use work to bring them up to a 4 or 5 star. They had only been open about 11 days we went went so might work some of this out.

Given it was 12:30pm we were happy to see this place was quite full but still had a table for the 2 of us inside. There is a terrace which might be an option for our next visit. Yea you read that right, we will definitely be back. For lunch we ordered the octopus appetizer which was nice a tender, perfectly grilled and simply served with the most perfect vinaigrette. Nothing more than a little squeeze of lemon over it and you could have brought me a dozen more. But we had to save room for our mains. I chose the gyros salad and my wife the baked haddock with Greek potatoes and string beans. Both dishes were perfect. Not too fancy and just what the doctor ordered. Overheard several tables around us that they were repeat customers so we must have stumbled on to something good. So if you are thinking Greek, check this place out. You won't be disappointed

The main dish just wasn't my favorite, but it wasn't because it wasn't well made, it was more of a texture preference for me. The potatoes were a little overcooked for my liking, although a friend at our table said his were great. I did, however, love the gigantes! Our table also shared the Trio of Dips (tirokafteri, hummus, and skordalia), the moussaka, the Brazilian steak, and the Aegean stuffed pepper. The tirokafteri and hummus were both delicious. The skordalia wasn't for me, but that's simply because it's essentially a chilled potato dip, not a reflection of the restaurant. The Brazilian steak was fantastic, great flavor and cooked perfectly. The stuffed pepper and moussaka also got a thumbs-up from our group. I believe our server's name was Uli, and he was good. He took the time to explain several dishes. Greek food probably isn't at the top of my personal favorites list, but this one was ok.

I walked in thinking I'd have a "light lunch" and walked out needing a nap and a structural engineer to check if my belt was still up to code. The Food: The hummus is so smooth I'm pretty sure it could solve international conflicts if we just gave everyone a pita bread peace treaty. I ordered the Kabob, and let me tell you, the meat was so tender it basically gave up and melted the second it saw my fork. The rice is fluffy enough to be used as a premium hotel pillow, though I wouldn't recommend sleeping on it--you'll want to eat every grain. The Experience: The staff is great, but be warned: they have a "dangerously hospitable" vibe. You'll be sitting there, minding your own business, and suddenly there's more food on your table. I didn't know if I was at a restaurant or if I'd been adopted by a Iranian family who thinks I haven't eaten since 2022. The Verdict: If you're in Frisco. TX and you want to eat until you can no longer comfortably sit behind a steering wheel, this is your spot. Come for the garlic sauce, stay because you're physically too heavy to leave. Pro Tip: Wear your "stretchy" pants. You've been warned.
