We visited Victory Tap Sports Lounge during their grand opening and had a great experience overall. We started with two of the seasonal cocktails. The Ole Ole Ole was excellent, almost like a pineapple ranch water, and was one of my favorite drinks of the night. The CR7 is a watermelon margarita. It wasn't my personal favorite, but if you're a watermelon fan, you'll probably love it. For an appetizer, we ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp. The shrimp was fried well, and the sauce had great flavor. I'd give it a solid 7/10. For dinner, we shared the Calabrese pizza. It was delicious and featured hot honey and garlic oil that paired perfectly with the thin, crispy crust. It did have a bit of a kick to it, so be prepared for some spice. If you're a fan of thin crust pizza, this would be a dream. I'd rate it 8/10. Later in the evening, we tried a few more drinks. The LFC Skinny Margarita was very good, though the rim was a little unexpected with a combination of salt, lemon, and rosemary. We also tried one of the Mini Tinis, the Put Me In Coach. It was essentially an espresso martini shot, strong but delicious and a fun addition to the menu. The standout drink of the night was the Shake & Bake frozen cocktail. It tasted like a Dole Whip daiquiri and was easily a 10/10. It was the best thing we had all evening and something I'd order again without hesitation. The service was excellent. Since it was the grand opening, the managers were very attentive and made us feel welcome throughout our visit. The venue itself is extremely well designed for sports fans. No matter where you're seated, you'll have a great view of a TV. They also have an F1 simulator inside, which is much more advanced than a typical arcade racing game. Any gamer or racing fan would get a kick out of trying it. Overall, Victory Tap Sports Lounge offers a fun atmosphere, great service, creative cocktails, and a setup that's perfect for watching games. We'll definitely be back. read more

The food and cocktail choices are weird. Ordered a Cosmo and was asked what kind of vodka I wanted when I said Grey Goose.(and I've never been asked that before when I want a Cosmo), we were charged an extra $5.20, making that drink $18.20. Same thing with the second weird cocktail I ordered. I didn't want tequila so I asked for Grey Goose again and it was another up charge of $5.20 making that drink also $18.20. And- they put those cocktails in an old-fashioned, rounded champagne glass. WTH? Put it in a regular martini glass. The Cosmo tasted weird, and it also was not cold or filled to the top of the glass. Total ripoff. (You can get a bigger, better Cosmo at Bobs steak and chophouse for $14. A Crown royal Manhattan was $11 and an up charge of 4.40 for something, so it was a $15.40 drink. A bigger and better one is only $13 at Bob's. If you order a $17 chicken Caesar salad without the chicken, they still charge you $17 and the lettuce is so big you have to cut it to get it into your mouth. Really? The kitchen can't see how annoying that is. Abby our server was fine. Too bad she didn't tell us about the drink up charges. So, sticker shock on the drink prices when presented the tab. We will never go back and will warn our friends go at your own risk and maybe just drink water. Though they may have an up charge for that if you want ice. Terrible! read more

Despite my love of sports, I'm definitely not the sports bar type. They tend to have pretty mediocre food and the tvs are an obnoxious interruption to conversation. That said, Victory Tap had been under construction near a client's house, so I popped in to check out the interiors, if nothing else. Much to my surprise, not only was the ambiance excellent, but the television setup was really cool. My server Michael was friendly & skilled, and there was a great selection food that isn't fried or trite-ly "bar-ified." Even better was the contingent of Argentina fans happily celebrating in a different alcove of the restaurant. A fun lunch, good food, and great soccer match viewing. Came to check out this new sports lounge in Plano, and it did not disappoint!!! There are 2 bar areas, plenty of seating, patio area - open concept with a great sports atmosphere! There are many TV's and a huge TV screen on the back wall. They can show all sporting events! The bar back greeted us first. very friendly and brought us water. Our bartender, Charles, had a super personality and gave us and our friends excellent service our whole visit! The drinks were great. We tried the calamari for an appetizer & it was very good. Pepe, the director of operations, stopped by and checked us and we had a great conversation. Didn't know this sports lounge was part of the Lombardi family of restaurants! Carrying on the excellent service and food tradition. We wanted to watch our niece's pro-softball game amidst all the soccer games and Antonio and Areeba came over and greeted us and put the game on at the bar right above us. We always sit at the bar. I had the prime steak topped wedge salad with blue cheese dressing and it was delicious. My husband had the crispy chucken sandwich with fries and buffalo sauce on the side. It was on a sesame milk bun like a hoagie, cut into 3 sections. He loved it! It was very good. Andy, the general manager, also came by and spoke to us and was very cordial, making sure everything was going well with our visit. It was an exceptional experience! Frederico was fabulous! He provided excellent, knowledgeable service without hovering. The bang bang shrimp were great!.... even more fresh and spicy than expected. We did the chicken pesto pizza and added bacon, WHY NOT, and the cracker thin crust was heaven. Note that this is a Lombardi concept and while positioned as a sports bar, it really isn't. The vibe is elevated. They expect you to have a reservation and valet. This is an identity crisis for anyone thinking they're headed into a typical sports bar. I waited 12 minutes sitting at the main bar before someone came by to grab me a beer. I was going to order food, but nobody came back to check on my area for another 20 minutes. A lady bartender looked at me for a moment but turned away before I could even try to wave her over to order. After drinking 1 beer in 40 minutes, I cut bait and tabbed out. Our bartender, Isiah was fanatic with spot on service and great conversation. We got to experience the warm and friendly manner of Christian who was equally amazing at serving our needs. The food we had was great. The Texas Cheese Steak did not disappoint especially with the jalapeño. The Pesto Chicken Flat bread was very rich definitely something to share. Really wanted to like this place because it's a great build out. BUT- it was a major disappointment. I'd say a failure of management, who walk around but aren't effectively curating the guest experience. The menu is too contrived for a sports bar- make it simpler for your kitchen to execute on time... we waited forever and meals came out at different times for our party. Rob and the team he builds consistently deliver excellent service, and they lived up to it on this occassion. Victory Tap is a classy sports lounge--warm, inviting, and surprisingly spacious. Even with more than 40 TVs, the room still feels open and comfortable rather than overwhelming. Since the restaurant has just opened, everything feels fresh, clean, and new, which adds to the overall atmosphere. When the right event comes along--looking at you, FIFA--I'll definitely be back here to watch it. This visit, though, was all about the food and the company. Our group ordered a mix of dishes: some went for elevated options like the Rigatoni or Salmon, while others stuck with classics like burgers. Every single person at the table agreed--the food was one of the best parts of the night. And for the quality we received, it didn't feel like our pocketbooks took a hit. As a cocktail fan, I probably indulged a little more than I should have, but I have zero regrets. The drinks were creative, balanced, and full of flavor. This was the second time we've came to try this place out and it's really cute and cool atmosphere but unfortunately service is not great and they do not pay attention to detail or care. I understand it's a new place and it may take some time to figure things out which I hope they do because this place has potential. They are trying to hard to be upscale ish - it's a sports bar let's call it what it is, don't overthink the menu. The dishes don't need pickled veggies no one cares about garnish nor will someone eat that lol. If they made the menu more bar friendly bites like a normal sports bar it'd be fine. Kitchen and management needs work too. Our orders both time have been wrong. Really hope they figure it out but don't say I didn't warn you if service isn't great. I made a reservation for 6 people to watch the USA soccer game and then needed to change it to 10 people and they were so accommodating to the request. We sat at a non traditional table, but it worked for us. We had great views of all the TVs. Our waitress was Gabrielle and she was phenomenal. She was very attentive, sweet, and fun. We ordered the calabrese hot honey pizza and it was DELICIOUS. I highly recommend. We were a big group with a lot of drink and food orders and Gabrielle handled it like a pro.
