Good happy hour, very friendly staff, super yummy food. A go to for me and the hubs. Get the potstickers.

We had a great experience with friends at this location! I'll be honest, I've been to the location in Southlake and it has never been my favorite, but I've had friends want to meet for dinner and espresso martinis a few times, so you can't argue with a group decision lol. So when another couple asked to try this location, I was hesitant, but omg was it so much better! Maybe it was the different moody vibe or the servers knowing what to recommend, but this experience was great! My husband and I shared the steak frites and the Mahi Mahi and they were absolutely incredible! I've never had Mahi Mahi before but I was blown away and my husband said it was one of the best he's had. Every bite left us wanting more and we've excited to back and see what else they recommend. The only ehh from the night was that one of our friends had a tap beer that was just not very good, but we couldn't figure out why. Hopefully the next time we go back, it'll be an experience like this one! read more

I had a wonderful experience! I took my aunt to dinner to reunite after months apart, and I have to preface this by saying, she is a tough food critic. She truly enjoyed everything: the food, the service, the atmosphere. Every cylinder was firing! The manager, Myan, was exceptional, very knowledgeable, helpful in explaining the menu, and truly made the evening even more enjoyable. Thank you for helping me create such a special reunion. I'll definitely be returning! read more

I think this restaurant is going through a transition or something. Because nothing went right today. And the food, it is bad! I used to enjoy coming to moxies for lunch meetings. It's a great location in Plano off 121. But today, nothing we ordered came out right. And it took forever. Spicy tuna roll- rice is ALL wrong. Tuna taste horrible. JUST TERRIBLE. They need to understand what sushi means or take it off the menu. Because that's an insult to call it sushi. Salmon Cobb salad - salmon was over cooked. Dry. Rubbery. Pasta kid dish- SO greasy! And this is supposed to be for a child. chicken lettuce wrap thing- you can tell someone is not a professional chef prepared this dish. When you prepare food for a lettuce wrap the size of the bites Has to be just right in order for you to make it work. I wish I took a photo of how big each chuck the chicken bell peppers and onions!!!! It's like a child made this. Caesar salad: OK The food took forever to come out. Like 40 mins. Then they told us we didn't have the right pasta for the kids meal after waiting 30 mins. I felt so bad for my friend. We ordered something else since the spicy tuna Roll was so bad. But they forgot to place the order anyway. I guess that was the universe saving us lol I do not recommend coming here until they figure it out. The prices are not worth while for the food that we got today. read more

We had great service and a beautiful dinner. Not very busy but hey, all good with us. The ribeyes was a bit fatty and the calamari wasn't a big hit but the sticky toffee pudding made up for it. It was magnificent! Nice place. read more

Grabbed food here while staying at the hotel and it's so delicious! There's a bar area along with high tops and booths in the same area + a more formal seating area. I've had a few different items here and all of their food is so good. Service is great and lots of TVs for whatever is on. read more

Moxie's Grill & Bar is located next door to Sandman Signature Hotel with plenty of parking, however if you come during the evening, especially on the weekend, it may be a challenge to find parking. Because I was staying at the Sandman, which breakfast is not complementary, my husband and I decided to order something to go. We ended up ordering: Classic breakfast with sausage, $14 prior to tax- This breakfast comes with 3 eggs, your choice on how it is made, bacon or sausage, two pieces of toast and potatoes. My husband picked sunny side up style and sausage. I don't normally eat a large breakfast like this so the amount was perfect for the both of us to share. I really liked the potatoes and feel that they gave us a generous amount. The eggs were perfectly fried and the toast was nice and hot. I didn't have any of the sausage (it was split in half) but my husband liked it and thought it was filling. We also got a large side of ketchup and jam. ------------------------- (Tota $15.16 after tax) After we phoned in our order, my husband walked down to pick up the food. He had told me that the employees were friendly and paying was quick and easy. Overall, we had a good experience. This restaurant has quite a nice selection of food items them offer, outside of breakfast/ brunch. Also they have happy hour daily from 3- 6 pm and 9 pm til closing. read more

I was so impressed by Moxie's! This place is a tad pricey but so worth it! Truly a feast for the eyes. The restaurant is attached to Sandman Signature hotel, and is definitely not your run of the mill restaurant. Their decor is absolutely fabulous. Walking into the entry of the restaurant is a bold and beautiful accent wall with greenery and moss. I'm mad about it! There is a beautiful hexagon division panel and the restaurant has all the right balances of wow balance with minimalism. The right fluorescent yellow boots coupled with the black is a lovely contrast. I love all of the LED light fixtures down the middle of the restaurant as well as over each table flanking the walls by the womdows. The bar is well appointed and has really fun tiles, lots of TVs if you are into that. It was a pretty warm day so I did not sit outside but it is cute. Even the bathrooms are masterful here. I had to take multiple photos because they were that gorgeous. And let me me not forget about that beautiful wine cooler. This place totally gets two snaps for being all out fabulous. I came a little before happy hour started and tried the potstickers, it came with a generous portion of potstickers, a really fabulous sauce with pineapple, bell peppers. I also tried the steak bites, they were served with a horseradish cream sauce, perfectly cooked and had an amazing flavor. Shun was my server, not only was she extremely friendly but was attentive and beautiful to boot. It was an amazing late lunch and I thoroughly enjoyed it, I can't wait to bring my friends back. read more

We had a wonderful evening. The food was fresh and delicious. The best thing we had was the Miso Ramen with Pork Belly added and the best drink was the Chocolate Martini for dessert. We are staying at the Sandman Signature Hotel that's attached to Moxie's. 4 stars for convenience and overall ambiance of the bar area was nice. Drinks are pricey (but that's to be expected with the area). Visited on a Friday night, there was a DJ playing good music. Minus 1 star: DJ was dancing with and hugged up on patrons (seemed a little inappropriate). Although we sat at the bar, the bartender never asked if we wanted another drink. I shouldn't have to sit for awhile with an empty cup and then have to get your attention to order another drink. (This was 1 hour from closing, so the lack of attention wasn't due to being busy, more so like the lady was ready to be done with her night) read more

During our evacuation from Hurrican Ida, the front desk gave us vouchers to try out the bar and grill attached to the hotel. I loved the decor and vibe of this place. They have a lot of good options on the menu and also offer a discounted late night menu. The food took a bit long to come out considering they were not even at 50% capacity, but there were several staff members that came by to check on us. The nachos appetizer was HUGE and perfect for a group. Flavors were really good. I ordered the pork belly ramen. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Everything in it worked well together. It started to kind of feel like a club type vibe towards the end of the night so we gladly went back to the room after our good meal. read more

We started with the Brussels sprouts, which were some of the best I've had, and the skinny spa margarita. SO GOOD!! For our mains, we got the mahi mahi and chipotle mango chicken. Really excited to be able to update my review for Moxies. I want to give a shout out to their manager, Jasmine, who reached out immediately after I posted my last review in order to make things right. I had a strong feeling that if I came back it would be a much better experience and they did not disappoint. I made reservations, again, and my husband and I were seated in the bar area as soon as we arrived. Our server was great, offering wonderful drink and food recommendations. We ordered the brussels sprouts and dumplings for appetizer because I have to try the brussels sprouts every where I go. I wasn't particular smitten with them, but my husband and I really enjoyed the potstickers. For our main course I got the Avocado and Bacon salad with the Scottish salmon and my husband got the Blackened Mahi Mahi. We both really enjoyed our meals! I highly recommend the Kentucky River old fashioned for anyone who enjoys a good old fashioned. The ambiance here is perfect for a date night and we will definitely be back! read more

Negative star if possible. Came for brunch on a Sunday and they didn't have any Bloody Mary mix? French onion soup came out with COLD unmelted cheese on top. French toast was decent. No refills on any drinks. It took 30 minutes to get out once we were done eating. read more

Came here with my family over the weekend. Was not busy at first but definitely livened as the night went on. Started out with the steak bites and calamari. Steak bites were ok. Wasn't as juicy and flavorful as I wanted them to be. I usually like steaks medium to medium well, and these were well done. The calamari was good but not great. I forget the servers name but once patrons started coming in he seemed overwhelmed. I had to flag him down for the table beside me so he could get their wine. My entree was blackened shrimp tacos. Shrimp was succulent and juicy but was overpowered by the sauce. Will go back and give moxies another try since my sister stays up the street. read more

My partner and I visited on a slower Saturday night. We ordered drinks and got right to it with the entree. We decided to split the rib entree with fries and veggies. We had a decent wait and unfortunately the food came out cold. The server apologized and returned it for another plate. They then came out with just fries and veggies alone which were again cold. They took those back and brought back everything. The ribs were black and burnt but yay ... fries and veggies were okay. The manager came over and apologized, said it's unacceptable, and gifted us some gift cards. At that point, waiting over an hour, we didn't want a redo. I appreciate the acknowledgment of the error. Beautiful and clean restaurant and a friendly staff. Hopefully, we have a better experience next time. read more

Ambiance is 8/10. I'd rate the service 6/10. Staff is very nice! We went on a Thursday around lunch, it was not busy but. It took about 25 min to get our food. stayed at the sandman hotel and I ordered room service once. I got the ramen and my husband got the steak. the ramen was good and the steak was ok but it was pretty convenient, so I decided to try dine in. I brought my 21 month old daughter as well since they have a kid's menu and noted kids under 12 get a free drink etc, so I figured it was kid friendly. it definitely was not - they didn't have a high chair, kid's utensils and the server never even offered a drink for her. additionally, her pasta was so undercooked (not al dente) and had pieces of chicken when it was a Bolognese? my daughter even said ew and didn't want to finish it. Bolognese is her favorite dish. I also have no idea why they gave us an adult sized plate of this gross pasta either. I ordered the tuna sushi stack for an appetizer which was ok. just a deconstructed sushi roll. my husband got the short rib Bolognese which had 4 tiny pieces of short rib. I ordered the blackened mahi mahi which was sooooo salty. food was so unappetizing I just wanted to go boxes and to go back to my room. the service was poor. she took our order, dropped it off, didn't check back with us but another nice server took the time to ask if we needed anything, so I guess just a hit or miss. the price is literally expensive for what you get. I mean I'm chugging water at this point I'm visiting from NYC and thought this was related to the Moxy there but it's not. please don't be fooled by the ambience. read more

I recently went to Moxies with my coworker & was looking for something healthy since I'm on a diet.. my server Brooklyn recommended the power bowl which was AMAZING. I love anything with tofu and all the veggies were great. She even brought me extra of the dressing which was very tasty. I got a cucumber drink called the cucumber cobbler, and it was super refreshing and also tasted "healthy" :) Brook opened our bottle of champagne table side & chatted it up with us while being extremely busy on Saturday night. 10/10 recommend Moxies - the vibe and the food was great. Would definitely come back. read more

This restaurant is in an interesting area being attached to a hotel, but the restaurant is well decorated and is probably most ideal for some sort of business lunch/meeting as the vibe is very professional and there is a decent spread of options on the menu to accommodate different preferences. Overall as a dining experience, my experience with Moxies was very average. I enjoyed the lettuce wraps and salmon that I had for my meal, but the cocktails that I ordered (Mai Thai and old fashioned) were borderline bad, but I am not sure the bartender even used the spirits mentioned in the menu as I am pretty sure I watched her make the Mai Thai with Captain Morgan. Service was also mediocre to poor as we had our server just disappear on us for a long while until eventually someone else checked on us. Again, I think there's absolutely a place for this kind of restaurant, but as of now I won't be advocating for a quick return. Better management could easily elevate the experience here by improving the execution. read more

10/10 In All Realms I've been to several Moxie's but none have compared to this one! The establishment is stunning; very large, very spacious, very beautiful. You have the option of sitting in the bar area if you want to watch sports or sitting in a separate dinning area for a more intimate experience. The best part was the food and drinks. I love when restaurants can not only make accommodations for me, but also do it very well. I got the Cobb Salad but replaced the bacon with shrimp and replaced the iceberg lettuce with Kale #BOMB! The salmon was seasoned extremely well and the house dressing was unmatched. Finally, Moxie's makes the best Lemon Drop martinis! read more

I wish I could give them zero stars. Place has went down hill. Food is sub par and came out cold. I ordered the Scottish salmon and it was way under cooked and cold. Bartenders have no cleaning standards, dirty plates stay on the bar tops while they talk. The woman manager on duty didn't seem care either because she sat and talked to them! So sad this place used to be my go to after a long work week! Won't be returning. read more

We chose Moxie's for our date night, pre-movie dining, made reservations via Open Table (of course!) and when we arrived at 5:15pm on Saturday evening the bar was packed, but the restaurant was very quiet (one other couple). Our waitress Alexa D was kind, friendly, offered great suggestions, and checked on us just the right amount. I had skimmed the menu prior to our reservation simply to ensure there was something my husband would eat, but neglected to look at the prices - my mistake. To the point review - beautiful ambiance, good food, good portions, EXTREMELY overpriced! Explanation... We started with the Guacamole for Happy Hour ($8). The guacamole appeared to be one avocado with lots of yummy mix-ins (cilantro, onion, tomato, peppers, and seasoning). The salsa was not to our liking (very tomato paste-like), but the chips were tasty, and we were brought complimentary extra chips when we finished them off but still had guac left. It was spot on for $8, but non-happy hour this costs $11, overpriced IMHO. My hubby's Old Fashioned was part of Happy Hour so it was $8, about average, but non HH it's $12.50. I chose the Kale & Quinoa Salad w/chicken. The salad was $13 but the chicken was $6.50!!!!! It was one chicken breast, not the whole chicken!! Hubby's Red Thai Curry bowl was $13.50 + $6.50 with chicken = $20. The food was good and the portion decent. We liked the food, the service and the ambiance, but the vibe this place we got from Moxie's (attached to a hotel) was trendy, but super casual. Fifty percent of the place is a bar and it was packed with college football fans cheering on their teams. In our opinion the prices did not reflect the casual nature of the restaurant. Our bill was over $80 and that was during Happy Hour! We both left perplexed that our casual dining experience just cost us over $100 - it was NO not worth it. It's called "Bar and Grill" afterall. We won't be back, except maybe to watch a game in the bar. read more

What started out as a likely delightful overall experience turned into a delightfully mediocre meal for two of the three people in my party. I was pretty pleased with my salad, and would likely order it again, but my husband and son were less than thrilled with the blackened shrimp (on cold store-bought tortillas) and the baby back ribs with roasted veggies and a twice-baked potato. The roasted carrots were so good, but the cook was inconsistent. This place has real potential and has 4 stars overall which is a part what pushed us to give it a try (on an out of town trip). Don't know that I'd recommend it to someone else, but I would be sure to note that we may have been the exception to the rule since it's otherwise rated well. read more

The cashew chicken lettuce wraps appetizer was a large portion, the two of us couldn't finish it! The appetizer was so filling that we ended up splitting an entree - the Southern Fried Crispy Chicken Sandwich. It came with house made fries which were delicious.
