What started out as a likely delightful overall experience turned into a delightfully mediocre meal for two of the three people in my party. I was pretty pleased with my salad, and would likely order it again, but my husband and son were less than thrilled with the blackened shrimp (on cold store-bought tortillas) and the baby back ribs with roasted veggies and a twice-baked potato. The roasted carrots were so good, but the cook was inconsistent. This place has real potential and has 4 stars overall which is a part what pushed us to give it a try (on an out of town trip). Don't know that I'd recommend it to someone else, but I would be sure to note that we may have been the exception to the rule since it's otherwise rated well. read more

We had the best absolute time at Moxie's! We celebrated my husband birthday and everything was absolutely perfect. Oh my goodness. I would get a hotel room next door just for this place. This is my regular "after ikea therapy" stop. Theyre food is incredible and the staff is just as well. You can expect to dish out $15 a plate, but my goodness is it worth it. They offer rotating menus since ive been coming. Great brunch spot. After perusing the menu, I decided on the Loaded Burger with fries, cooked medium. It features two cheeses, an aged white cheddar and regular cheddar, along with red relish (kind of a fancy chunky ketchup), pickled mustard seed mayo, sautéed mushrooms, bacon, and BBQ sauce on a "everything" seeded bun. It was a bit messy, but delicious, with the bacon having a nice crunch and a juicy beef patty that was cooked just right. The fries were fresh cut, skin on, well seasoned, and plentiful. They weren't super crispy, but had a great flavor and were well browned. Overall, this was a nice dining experience, and not too bad on price for a newer, somewhat fancy place. I visited this place with friends for dinner. The customer service is top tier . It was particularly cold this night and the host brought me and my table warm towels. Very nice gesture. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu. She recommended both my options, the Thai Chili Chicken and the Chipotle Mango Chicken. Both were a hit. I enquired about reserving a party event there for 80 people and they said there is a tab minimum of $18,000. 18. Thousand. Dollars. Or $225 per person. I asked them point blank what kind of food do they serve here because I can't even spend that much at Pappa Bros Steakhouse even if I tried to eat and drink. Their menu items are $12-49 per plate. So basically, everyone needs to spend $176 to $213 per person in drinks. Oh my....I'm here on a Friday night. First off this place is heavily overpriced. If you want a protein(chicken, pork belly)added to a salad, lettuce wraps,ramen , EVEN NACHOS it is a big EXTRA charge of 6.50! So nachos here is $22 with chicken added. Even though the nachos are claiming to be one pound nachos. Also, never heard of pork belly being extra for Ramen, in which, it is always included. Moxie's would charge $12 for a peanut butter sandwich then $6.50 for the jelly. Now the decor of the place is beautiful as well as the lime green booths. The filet wasn't cooked correctly so my dates food became cold and no apology. The chef came out with a scowl said "try it see if it's what you want" intimidated me - it was more rare than requested but I ate it and it was just ok. The plate was really not appealing for $41. We didn't stay long and the bill needdd to be adjusted for the third steak (corrected one) which took awhile. They charged $1.50 for mushrooms. Why not host add the few on top? Went to Moxie's last night after getting in about 10:30pm and decided to grab a drink. This is the first bar I've been in since covid. The bar was empty, but that did not stop the server from quickly greeting me and for being so nice. She got me a paper dinner a drink menu. I'd already had dinner, so my eyes went straight to their cocktails. I asked about the rosé sangria and she said it was delicious and it was! Super refreshing and I loved the fresh strawberries and oranges. It wasn't too strong either, but you could taste a hint of the rosé and the deep eddy peach! Something went really wrong with this place the last time we went. Came in at 5pm and the restaurant was mostly empty, but they decided to seat us at a table right next to the door. It was a cold day and the restaurant was not heated. Even wearing a sweater and heavy winter coat, I was freezing the whole time. It took our waitress 25 minutes to take our order. I ordered the nachos with beef topping. Around 10 minutes later, the waitress came back and said they don't have the beef topping for the nachos and asked if I want chicken instead. I told her that's impossible since half of the menu is beef and steak items. She said something like "well we don't have the beef for the nachos" and I again told her that's impossible. She said she'd go check with the chef. Ridiculous! Around 5 minutes later, she came back and said it turns out they do have the beef topping for the nachos. Now it's been 40 minutes and no food. Waited almost a full hour, took a look around and noticed that almost none of the tables around us had gotten any food since we'd been there. Clearly something wrong with their operations and we decided to just leave and go someplace else.
