Was craving chips and salsa while shopping and this place was highly recommended! Service was great, the staff was friendly, knowledgeable and recommended great options, felt like I was being hosted by a friend. The food was okay.. I had higher hopes for what I was given but I'm used to different styles of foods for example, I ordered the nachos and was given "nacho style" foods, I would say it's more of a tostada that nachos that was disappointing. And again the chips and salsa, they were okay the chips were thick! Not very easy to eat/ definitely tostada thick.. I prefer a thinner chip. The drinks how ever were great.. strong enough to not complain lol.. the ambience is good, definitely dress cute if you're coming here.. read more

Was here for a birthday. They don't offer complimentary dessert. The server made it sound like it was free... I told them what I wanted and they said this will be added to the bill. Me like.... ok. This is weird - why did you make it sound like it was free? I guess that is becoming the norm to pay for a birthday dessert. Their dessert menu didn't sound that interesting to me. So something to consider if you're coming for a celebration. Did end up getting the carrot cake, which is not something I would opt for. but it was moist. Super quiet on a Sunday night. Didn't even need to make reservations. Complimentary chips and salsa is always a plus. And the server asked if we wanted more and came with refills. Shrimp ceviche (~$20) and good for one person I feel. It's on the appetizer menu though. You're going to spend $20 per person here on food. I liked the food. But was turned off by no birthday dessert. read more

You be the judge. Did I get what was advertised? What a giant waste of my time and money. The chicken was dry, the carrots undercooked and dry, and the squash and zucchini were dry and cold. They forgot the beans and rice for my flautas, too. The Cinco Leches was more like Uno Leche. It was underwhelming. Can't believe I spent $75 here. You think "Legacy West," and there's an expectation of quality. This place should be forced to relocate to somewhere east of 75 in Plano. read more

While the wife and kid went shopping along Legacy West--one of my least favorite activities in the world--I headed to Mesero to do a scientific experiment: are the margaritas at this location as good as at Inwood Village? To answer this question, I had to engage in field work, so I entered the restaurant and proceeded to the bar. The restaurant is laid out in a similar manner to all the others. People talk about cookie cutter homes; there are cookie cutter restaurants as well. I guess if it is working, why change? I sat at the bar and ordered my favorite: Meserita, straight up. It was very good, indistinguishable from Inwood Village. But as all good scientists know, sample size is important. One may be an outlier. So, I had another. There, proof was confirmed. They are the same. My research question was answered. The bartender was attentive and I thank him for his cooperation in my experiment. read more

Love this spot for the chicken flautas, guacamole, and mole enchiladas--they're consistently my favorites. The complimentary chips and salsa are also a great touch and always hit the spot. Service has been friendly and quick each time I've visited, and there's plenty of seating available. I especially love the sunroom seating, though they also have darker/shadier sections if you prefer a less bright atmosphere. Plus, they offer a full bar, which is a nice bonus. I believe they also have happy hour with discounted drinks and appetizers. The only miss for me was the fajitas--the beef was dry and overcooked. The tacos were just okay, not bad but nothing standout. Overall, a solid place with several dishes I'd happily come back for. read more

Came here with some friends. The waiter was patient and friendly. I ordered the enchiladas verdes and they were good, but the chicken was dry. Good place to visit if you are gluten intolerant. They were able to serve my friend with celiac and took great care to prepare her dish. read more

I received great service from Sue and the ambiance is beautiful yet a casual vibe. Relax with a beautiful view of a water display outside under a covered patio or dine inside. I definitely approve the happy hour chicken tacos. This is my first time in Dallas so I didn't come here for a main meal, but everyone seems to be pleased with their meals and service. Pro-Tip: Happy Hour is 2-6pm M-F. Save time by parking in the garage. It's perfectly easier than attempting to find street parking. read more

Upon arriving it was very busy and I thought we wouldn't get a seat but we were seated right away. Our table was not fully wiped down and the seats were dirty as well. However, the food was delicious! We ordered chips and sauce, which was a great starter. Then I ordered the ribeye fajitas and my friend ordered the pork fried rice, which were both very flavorful and delicious. For dessert we decided on the white tres leches, which was so good it melted in our mouths! Will definitely come back! read more

We often visit the southlake location but we were in the area and decided to try the legacy west location. Service + atmosphere + food was great ! They sat us by the window overlooking the water fountain which my daughter loved ! My only complaint is they put us in the area with 2 big party tables that were extremely loud. I would have appreciated them asking us if it was ok as it was super hard to have a conversation with my husband next to 2 super noisy tables. Didn't expect that on a 2pm on a Saturday. read more

Visited Mesero at Legacy West on Valentine's Day. We had a table pre-booked and were seated within 5-10 minutes of arrival, which was smooth considering how crowded it was. The dine-in space was well-decorated and had a lively vibe. One of the main highlights of this location is the beautiful view of the water fountain just outside the restaurant -- you can enjoy your meal with a view, which really adds to the experience. We tried the chicken and shrimp tacos -- the food was okay, nothing extraordinary. Parking was a bit of a challenge as the area is quite busy. Overall, a decent experience. I've added some pictures from our visit as well! read more

The ambience inside is very nice and they have a lot of different places to sit. We had a larger party and the service was very helpful and kind. I ordered the flautitas and it was a perfect size for lunch. They were a bit dry and could have used more flavor. I appreciated the amount of guacamole on the plate, but it needed some more seasoning as well so I added the green salsa that came with our chips. read more

YUM!! Really loved this restaurant. They start by giving free chips with a trio of 3 salsas and each one had such great flavor. They give each person there own little cup of chips which I thought was so cute. The queso was on the thicker side but had a great cheesy flavor. I got the Combo #2 which came with two different enchiladas, rice, and refried beans and really enjoyed! Great portion size & the other people I was with got the fried rice and the queso enchiladas - which both loved! If I lived in this area, I would definitely be coming back. read more

My wife and I had not even decided where to eat when we went down to Legacy West. The smell of the amazing food drew us in and it was an incredible experience. The drinks were amazing. The choices of salsa were all delicious. The food...well, I couldn't finish it, but not for lack of trying (ahi nachos, I think was what I got and they were outstanding). It was all so great and the service was just exceptional! We'll be back again and again. Actually, it sounds kinda good for this coming weekend. Give it a try! read more

Mesero at Legacy West totally delivered! Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and beautifully plated. We grabbed a table on the patio right in front of the dancing fountains, and it set the perfect backdrop for our date night. The lights, music, and water show created such a fun, romantic vibe. As a huge fan of Mexican cuisine, Mesero is easily one of my favorite spots thanks to its amazing high-quality food. I recently visited their Legacy West location, and I was impressed by the vibrant ambiance it really elevated the dining experience. They bring you a trio salsa platter which the green salsa is my favorite as it has avocado pieces in it but the only minor complaint is the chips they brought with it was a bit cold. For the main meal, I ordered the shrimp tacos, and they were absolutely delicious. They shrimp tacos were very fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. While the food arrived quickly, the service could have been a bit more attentive. That said, the overall experience was still fantastic, and I'll definitely be back! read more

My job hosted a dinner for us here and I had an amazing time! It was my first time in Plano, and visiting Mesero. The staff were phenomenal, the drinks were amazing, and the food left me absolutely stuffed. We had a variety of apps (queso, shrimp ceviche, bacon wrapped jalapeño I think, guacamole and chips, and I think there was another one!). They passed nachos prior to us sitting down for dinner. Our group had the entire room facing the fountain. For dessert, I fell in love with the churros. Inside of it was a warm caramel. read more

We had a lovely Friday night dinner at Mesero. The whole place was popping, so we were glad to get a table, though it was late dinner service. The decor and the ambiance put us in the mood for a great night, though it was a tad dim where we were seated. The glass of water tasted a little funky, so I ordered a margarita. The marg was tasty, just the right strength to get a little buzzed. We had the ceviche to begin our dinner. It tasted nice and fresh with a healthy citrus squeeze. I loved that the chips for the table were served in individual cups and the salsas went well with everything. We kinda shared everything amongst the table. The shrimp enchilada was so creamy and delicious. The chicken fajita was ok. Chicken was a bit dry. The carne aside tacos were solid. The side rice was unnecessary. The staff were very attentive despite it being busy until we left. We had a lovely time at Mesero. read more

I frequent Mesero in West Legacy often. It is my go to place to hook up with friends, families, and Business Associates. Food is outstanding and beautifully presented at your table. Great atmosphere...a combination of Modern, Elegant, and Cozy. Maître D, bartenders/bar-backs, waiters and waitresses are professional and top-notch. Classy indoor bar and equally impressive outdoor patio overlooking fountains and the Cosmopolitan Streetscape of the West Legacy Urban scene. Great atmosphere for business, family, or date night. The food was yummy - 5 stars! The ambiance (especially the patio) are amazing - 5 stars! The service was not great - 2 stars. This was our first visit, double date night! and we were treated to a patio seat on the first amazing night of the season. We had a reservation for four and when two of us checked in early, letting the hostess know we were happy to wait until the other two arrived, she assured us it was no big deal to seat us early. Our waitress was not too thrilled, nor did her mood or attitude change through the evening. We were accidentally seated with no menus, so when our waitress arrived a few minutes later asking what we wanted to drink and we were not ready, stating we'd like drink menus, she huffed and walked away to get us menus. As she handed them to us, again she asked "what would you like to drink?" As kindly as we could we asked for a moment to read through the options, but could we have water. She turned and walked away. A few moments later a kind & smiling gentlemen brought us water, chips & the salsa trio. When our waitress finally returned to get our drink order we were ready! When the rest of our party arrived, they had literally just picked up the drink menu when the waitress did the same to them. We all did our best to be as patient and kind as we could to her, giving her the benefit of the doubt (maybe she had a bad day, her kid was sick, she got some bad news, etc). She was clearly frustrated we wouldn't be ordering any starters and I don't recall if she checked on us once our meals were delivered, but I'd like to say she did. Our dinner plates had been cleared for some time when we finally flagged her down to ask for dessert menus, she acted put-off and was even more frustrated (body language and a verbal "huff") when only one of us ordered dessert. She dropped the checks at the same time the dessert was brought and when she circled around a few moments later she picked up clearly EMPTY checks (we hadn't put our cards in yet) she made an big deal of saying "oh they're empty" and laying them back down in the middle of the table! We all cringed for her and without waiting another moment handed her our cards. She brought them back very quickly and we never saw her again. Our waters were never filled again and our chips, which we had asked to be re-filled during dinner, had never been refilled. We all agreed we would try Mesero again, the food and ambiance were good enough to come back, and hopefully this waitress has moved on or her future days got better. read more

We dined at Mesero for a family luncheon on a Wednesday afternoon. All the dining venues were packed, but Messero was practically empty.. RED FLAG!!!!! We declined appetizers, and ordered our entrees. 3 of us got a pork dish... not certain the exact name, but thinking it would be like carnitas. Our pork entrees arrived, and it looked like a roast on the plate, with a tiny scoop of rice. We tried to jazz the meat up with some of the salsa that comes with the chips, but it was still rather plain. No guacamole or sour cream, or any tortillas even!!!!! One of us ordered the seared tuna nachos, and when it came out, thete were 4 chips......4 topped with a meager portion of tuna. Now to be fair, we didn't specify this was for our entree, but we declined appetizers, so thought the entree portion was a given. Our server was very nice, and our drinks were never empty. The good news is, we had enough pork leftover to take home and make some awesome tacos the next day!!!!!!! read more

We were greeted by Fernando (General Manager) and promptly shown to our table. It was our first time dining here at this location after over five years. Food was still delicious, service was still attentive without being intrusive, and the traditional, classy ambiance and modern flair with the pops of color had the wow factor I remembered and so loved on our first visit. I love that they still serve the tortilla chips and trio of salsas/dipping sauces - it truly enhances the experience and is a perfect accompaniment to whatever entrée you choose. Andres was our knowledgeable and attentive server - he made several Menu suggestions, asked us if we had any questions, and gave us a few minutes before he took our order. Andres made sure we had everything we needed and checked on us occasionally during our meal. Started things off with two smooth and beautifully balanced Jalapiña cocktails (with Tajin on the rim). Amazing! Mom ordered the cremaqueso enchiladas with cilantro cream (no beans) and red rice. I ordered the Oaxaqueñas enchiladas with mole sauce (no beans) and white rice. We both loved our entrées and would certainly consider ordering these again on our next visit. The Mole had an earthy, somewhat and subtly smoky flavor which I loved. No complaints. Portions are ideal. Got too full to order dessert, so will save that for next time. We will certainly return and dine here as frequently as we can. read more

Arrived with a party of 11, had reservations which was a plus as the restaurant was slammed. Ordered the El Miguelito which was decent, except the cheese enchilada was burned on the bottom, the chicken enchilada was cold and the brisket taco was too salty.
