I'm going to give it three stars because I felt the service was very good and we enjoyed the atmosphere watching the Cowboys game. However we will not go back because the food is very overpriced. We ordered the $25 (!) nachos and I could have made them at home for $2. The top layer of chips had probably a 1/4 of beef and 1/4 cup of cheese and everything underneath was just chips. We ordered some other food that was pretty good but I feel the prices are just too high to go back. read more

Let me start by saying that this was a major disappointment. We decide to go to happy hour after work this past Friday. We started early! We were there by 4pm. Meaning the place was kind of empty still. It's located in a cool new area technically Plano but borderline Frisco. You walk in and you see all the nice/contemporary decoration. Colors of green call your attention and the unique lamps and lighting. I wanted to like this place so much. I thought next date night drinks will be here. We got a table of eight but we started with only 6. The service was awful! The girls didn't write anything and yet messed up everything! Ugh. The manager came to apologize but it was too late. Overall I may, I MAY come back and give it another shot. I know the place is new and many things can improve. Let's see! read more

Went here for an early dinner with a friend one weekend. Has a good ambiance to it but we were sat in the back corner while it was dead, took a bit for our server to finally stop by. I got the Loaded Burger $17.00 cooked medium. The burger was pretty good flavor wise and was very juicy but the bun could not hold up to the amount of toppings. The bun got super soggy and was quite messy since toppings were sliding out but still good overall. The fries it came with were awful, they were limp and not crunchy at all. We were the only table in the dinning area and service was quite slow for no one being there. Overall, just okay since I would expect more for the price. read more

I recently went to Moxie's Plano for the second time. The prices are through the roof. Martinis $18, beers $7 and up. The service was very mediocre. We waited for quite awhile before anyone even brought us water. I felt as if life is a struggle for them lately, although the food was good. The steak bites were excellent, best thing there imo. Very few people in there. There are so many good places with better prices and excellent food, I'll pass Moxie's next time. read more

Delicious food! We had calamari, which was crispy and hot, ramen - very flavorful, a burger, French onion soup, and the pasta...highly recommend. Mother's Day was a hit; the service and management were exceptionally professional, and I am glad we celebrated here. read more

From the first moment my party set foot in Moxies we were treated like family. We ordered the steak bites and the maple glazed Brussels sprouts and all of the food came to the table at a reasonable time and was excellent! Valentine is a fantastic server and treated us perfectly! Request her when you go! read more

Came here to meet up with some friends for Happy Hour and it did not disappoint. I thought the food was fresh and delicious. I was glad to have the chance to try their food for Happy Hour prices and they are a higher price point than your average Bar and Grill. Cauliflower- I was surprised how much I loved this dish! if you like Asian flavors with a kick, then you will enjoy this dish. Wings- So delicious! I requested them to toss them in wing sauce, but the come dry with three delicious BBQ style sauces. Worth a try! I took off a star because we had a big party (12) and despite their being extra staff standing around our server had multiple tables with little help from other staff and it caused our service to be slower than desired. If it's not very busy and drinks are sitting at the bar to be taken out, the other staff that was standing around talking could have helped her out. I hate having to flag down a server and feel like I'm interrupting them. read more

Came for a date night with my husband and this place was perfect. It was super cute inside and the waitress was very attentive and friendly. The reason this place is not 5 stars as two entrees that I wanted were not available. They were out of steak frites and steak salad were beef so I went with the filet instead and added chimichurri. I will say, although not my first option... the glaze/sauce at the bottom of my plate was delicious! At first I was thinking "why is my steak swimming... that's a bit much" but once I tried it, I couldn't get enough! I dipped everything on my plate in that sauce. It was SO GOOD! I would go back and now purposefully order the filet. Happy accident but I'd still like to try the frites. Will go back again! read more

I had the pleasure of visiting Moxie's late one night during a convention I was attending in the area. A group of friends and I decided to stop in after a long day, grab some drinks and eats and have a good time. Late nights here are HYPE AF! Lol - there was a DJ spinning some serious Hip Hop music and the vibe in the place was very fun, very adult. They have interesting seating, some booths, tables and then a long high top table. The menu choices are the standard bar fair - nothing particularly special, just what you need to soak up your drinks, which they kept coming and those were made right too. WINNER! read more

We had a great date night here! Our server was John and he was funny, knowledgeable of the menu and recommended his favorite things on the food and drink menu. We went with 2 of his suggestions and we were not disappointed. John was a great server and made you feel like his friend. The food was great and came out quick. My husband had the rigatoni and it had a great sauce and I had the salmon & avocado cobb salad. The server assistant was Bailey and he was attentive of our needs and made sure we had plenty of water. The restaurant has a fun vibe and would be great for a night with your spouse or with a group of friends. We will definitely go again. read more

Jaz was amazing!!! Great communication! Food was good as always. Very friendly, and nice smile.

Val was the best server. She recommended great dishes. We will return for another outing tomorrow n the near future.

If you're looking for a lively restaurant or bar that is near (or in!) the hotel you are staying at, Moxie's may be your place. It's an upscale bar with average service and a fun ambiance. I joined several colleagues here for dinner and drinks and found it to be comfortable and the food was good. I enjoyed a pasta and mushroom dish that was unique and tasty. Definitely not your typical bar food. It may not be some place that the locals flock to, but for us travelers, it's certainly a viable option for something to hit the spot. read more

Service was decent, server was very sweet but didn't refill drinks enough. Chicken pasta had very overcooked chicken - dry and tough. Happy hour was very underwhelming, like a dollar off the normal menu prices with limited options. There are more interesting places to eat - would pass on this one. read more

Food is great! I ordered the lobster linguine and fish tacos. The sticky toffee pudding is Yumm! They need to improve on service though . Our server did not greet us to ask for drinks until around 10 minutes. There seemed to have been a manager though who was more accommodating and apologetic. read more

Although my first two visits were great, I had to deduct several stars for my latest visit. On my last visit, the server started out being very responsive but later became inattentive. Additionally, we order a carafe of the Cava mimosa. In the time it would've taken to bring the mimosa over, we were informed they were out of the Cava. We then asked if they would honor the price of the Cava but they responded stating they would not after yet another long amount of time. We asked to speak to the manager who offered to look for the bottle of Cava. She returned after yet another LONG while with ONE, yes ONE, Mimosa on the house. Completely missed the principle of the matter. The cost of one mimosa is basically the difference between the Cava carafe and the next level up not to mention that they table obviously wanted to order mimosas. I'm very much disappointed by this latest experience. The staff here seems to lack common sense. Adding on to my previous review, I spoke to the general manager who offered to "take care of me" if I returned. I also learned that the staff lied about my visit. I reluctantly agreed to come back under a reservation that was placed on my behalf by the GM. When I arrived, the staff did not seem to acknowledge the reservation and did not appear to make any special accommodations for my return visit. I ordered the bacon and cheddar omelet and mimosa with pomegranate juice. Service was better but just ordinary. When the check came, there was no compensation to acknowledge and make up for my previous poor visit. After I brought this to the manager's attention and explained that my visit served as redemption for the restaurant, not a reward, they graciously waved the check. I appreciate this, but it was at the cost of inconvenience. The management staff here needs serious training on matters of common sense and customer service. Had a better experience on 3/9/19. Came here with sorority sisters. I had the blackened chicken burger- okay, Bloody Mary- needed hot Sauce and Paloma- just perfect. read more

I enjoyed a girls night out and we throughly enjoyed our cosmopolitans and Moscow mules. I love the calamari, they have such an amazing spin on it because there is shrimp too! The dipping sauces are a sweet chili and a siracha Mayo !!!! The nachos are ginormous- the three of us couldn't finish them. I am so excited to back for one of their DJ NIGHTS. The GM is a doll and she approached my table. Apparently, Management recently changed and I am very excited about my future visits! I hear the mango chicken is delicious, it's a giant dish with 2 chicken breasts, covered in chipotle mango spice and perfectly paired with quinoa. read more

Not good. When you're wondering why this nice looking restaurant has so many times on open table there's a reason. Avoid. *A note to management that messaged me. Do yourself a favor and go have a meal at Union Bear 5 minutes away. Take notes of everything they're doing and then go back and take a serious look at the inner workings of your restaurant. If you can't see that you're failing big time I don't know what to say. read more

Ya know. The food wasn't bad, but for a slow Monday night he kitchen was awful. My steak came out medium and I asked for well with shrimp. NO SHRIMP. So they made another steak and included the shrimp second time around. The brownie was delish!! The margaritas were decent. Apparently the bartender was training so that's a bummer. The patio was nicely cool. There's plenty of fans outside to cool you down. read more
