I had so much hope for this place, and not only was I disappointed but so were my co-workers as we left our team dinner. As soon as I entered, a guy asked if I'd like to sample some of their red wine. When asked if it was sweet or dry, he just stared at me and replied, "Red wine." Sat down with my team, and ordered some drinks. (Happy hour ends at 6 for those curious). Ordered the Hot Mess (vodka based) and it was delish, another great start to the evening! We ordered 3 apps, the poutine, the hot wings and calamari. I've never had poutine, so I don't have anything to compare it to but I truly did enjoy this dish. Chicken wings were mediocre, but brownie points for coming out freshly cooked as the steam was still coming out when they brought it to our table. For food, I ended up ordering the Chicken Madeira Rigatoni, which is supposed to be one of their popular dishes. The noodles were undercooked, and were harder than they were soft. After warming this up the following day, I realized there was minimum cheese but instead just a bunch of grease. Co-workers tried the Red Thai Curry bowl, and were disappointed as it was entirely too salty. The broccoli soup was said to have a burnt after taste. Went here for an early dinner with a friend one weekend. Has a good ambiance to it but we were sat in the back corner while it was dead, took a bit for our server to finally stop by. I got the Loaded Burger $17.00 cooked medium. The burger was pretty good flavor wise and was very juicy but the bun could not hold up to the amount of toppings. The bun got super soggy and was quite messy since toppings were sliding out but still good overall. The fries it came with were awful, they were limp and not crunchy at all. I was glad to have the chance to try their food for Happy Hour prices and they are a higher price point than your average Bar and Grill. Came for a date night with my husband and this place was perfect. It was super cute inside and the waitress was very attentive and friendly. The reason this place is not 5 stars as two entrees that I wanted were not available. They were out of steak frites and steak salad were beef so I went with the filet instead and added chimichurri. I will say, although not my first option... the glaze/sauce at the bottom of my plate was delicious! At first I was thinking "why is my steak swimming... that's a bit much" but once I tried it, I couldn't get enough! I dipped everything on my plate in that sauce. It was SO GOOD! I had the pleasure of visiting Moxie's late one night during a convention I was attending in the area. A group of friends and I decided to stop in after a long day, grab some drinks and eats and have a good time. Late nights here are HYPE AF! Lol - there was a DJ spinning some serious Hip Hop music and the vibe in the place was very fun, very adult. They have interesting seating, some booths, tables and then a long high top table. Although my first two visits were great, I had to deduct several stars for my latest visit. On my last visit, the server started out being very responsive but later became inattentive. Additionally, we order a carafe of the Cava mimosa. In the time it would've taken to bring the mimosa over, we were informed they were out of the Cava. We then asked if they would honor the price of the Cava but they responded stating they would not after yet another long amount of time. We asked to speak to the manager who offered to look for the bottle of Cava. She returned after yet another LONG while with ONE, yes ONE, Mimosa on the house. Completely missed the principle of the matter. The cost of one mimosa is basically the difference between the Cava carafe and the next level up not to mention that they table obviously wanted to order mimosas. I'm very much disappointed by this latest experience. The staff here seems to lack common sense. Adding on to my previous review, I spoke to the general manager who offered to "take care of me" if I returned. I also learned that the staff lied about my visit. I reluctantly agreed to come back under a reservation that was placed on my behalf by the GM. When I arrived, the staff did not seem to acknowledge the reservation and did not appear to make any special accommodations for my return visit. I ordered the bacon and cheddar omelet and mimosa with pomegranate juice. Service was better but just ordinary. When the check came, there was no compensation to acknowledge and make up for my previous poor visit. After I brought this to the manager's attention and explained that my visit served as redemption for the restaurant, not a reward, they graciously waved the check. I appreciate this, but it was at the cost of inconvenience. The management staff here needs serious training on matters of common sense and customer service. Had a better experience on 3/9/19. Came here with sorority sisters. I had the blackened chicken burger- okay, Bloody Mary- needed hot Sauce and Paloma- just perfect. read more
