This is a brand new restaurant on Parkwood Avenue, adjacent to the Sandman hotel. Being new, I decided to check it out along with my colleagues during lunch time. Surprisingly, this place was not all that packed during lunch time considering that there are many companies located nearby. We got seated right away. The menu is very elaborate and has decent choices catering to a variety of taste buds. I went with the burger & fries. Food here is a bit pricey. The ambience was decent, although the color of the couch cloth was like a faded tennis ball! The service was awfully slow. The waitress disappeared often and did not take our orders quickly. Once she took the orders, it took a long time to arrive. However, I must say - the food was tasty, fresh and good quality. So, they must have a good chef and good cooks inside the kitchen. If they beef up their service, they can definitely achieve 4 or 5 stars. Hopefully, they improve their service when I check them out again! Food: 4.5/5 Ambience: 3.5/5 Service: 2/5 Overall: 3/5 read more

The food and drinks were wonderful as always; I definetly recommend the Madeira Rigatoni! Thank you to Jaz for the attentive and kind service read more

Came last night party of 5. Had to sit ourselves because we waited a little bit before we could get greeted. Took another 10-15 before our server greeted us with waters. Took another 15 for bar drinks. We had to ask her to order an appetizer and our meal. She did not make any recommendations. They brought out my boyfriends birthday cake without the candles and had to rebring it back inside and back out again with a candle. Ruined the surprise and we had already told them when we got in that it was a birthday. Nonetheless, we still tipped 20%. The Dallas location is better. Went to Plano because they're not in Downtown. You would think with how slow Plano is we'd get everything speed up and going, but no. Go to Dallas. read more

Stopped here for dinner with co-works because I was in town for a conference. This place is super duper cute! But.....it's obnoxiously loud. When we walked in normal music was playing. In a few short minutes, a game was being loudly broadcasted throughout the ENTIRE restaurant. We were on the far side of the dining room. Kind of hard to have any semblance of a conversation. Our table asked if the volume was going to stay that loud, to which we received a rude response as if we were stupid and should know the procedures of the restaurant. The worst thing that happened was when I was ordering. The waitress was pretty rude. I was ordering the burger and asked what "red relish" was, as it was not described on the menu. The response: "out of all the places I've worked, you're like the 10th person to ask me that tonight!" I said okay, well does it have onions in it? (just trying to get an idea of ingredients) She wasn't able to tell me and simply said to get it on the side. Not impressed. I DO recommend the smashed guacamole, it was great! On a side note, the bathroom is adorable! Hope the waitstaff work out the kinks of the restaurant soon. read more

Great experience at Moxie! Food and drinks were delicious and services was spot on! Alexis was absolutely the most welcoming manager I have had in food service in quite sometime! Keep up the great work hiring spectacular people. read more

Ordered the steak frites and they came out cooked to perfection, surprisingly quick as well. The service was really what's going to make me come back, my service, Alexis made it her goal to meet my every need while I enjoyed my meal. I can't recall a time my glass got below 1/4 full, she was very sweet and enjoyed sitting and chatting for a few moments. I definitely will return, yes because the food was amazing but also the service was outstanding which is hard to find nowadays. Thank you Alexis read more

We went in to moxies last Tuesday, and the service was terrible. Our server Jasmine wasn't very attentive and only came and check on us when the food came out. We also needed refills and that never happened. The food was okay but I've had better service before I don't know what happened. The manager on duty never came to check on us to see how they could resolve the issue..extremely unprofessional. We will be going to another moxies location after this.... read more

When I visit Canada for business, Moxies is always on our must stop at list. I have a business associate in town and decide to bring him here. 2 ribeyes and 2 bourbons, $195 plus a mandatory gratuity on a 2 top because there is live music on a Thursday night? Plus we ordered our bourbon neat and came out on ice. I'm still reeling over this. I ordered an Eagle Rare and they charged me $32 for a pour, thats the price of the bottle. $225 for 2 steaks 2 bourbons. Speechless. read more

Dropped in for drinks & light bites after a very long work week. We chose to sit in the bar area where a DJ was spinning and our server was stellar! She recommended the Bourban Smash as well as the Cucumber Cobbler, which may be my new summer go to! Portion sizes were generous & perfect for a Friday night happy hour. The food order didn't come out to our expectations, but the staff was so nice about getting that fixed and ensuring we had an enjoyable experience. Although the crowd was light, it was a perfect place to unwind. read more

My coworkers and I had a happy hour here while hosting a few out of town guests. The restaurant is pretty new and swanky. The happy hour is great, with a lot of appetizers and well priced drinks to be had. I didn't feel like partaking in libations as I had to go back to the office but I had a fruity spritzer which was really good. We ordered pretty much all the appetizers, which included guacamole and chips, roasted cauliflower, pork dumplings, and poutine. Every freaking appetizer was excellent, oh my gosh. The staff here were really accommodating to our large party. We had reserved a table prior to coming and we were in a large area near the bar. They made sure to take care of us for the few hours we were there. Overall, we had a good time and I'm sure we will come back for another happy hour. I'd love to come back for lunch/dinner too! This restaurant is located in NW Plano, at the Sandman Signature hotel right by the 121. Enjoy! read more

So I'm ecstatic this place was open even through COVID, but super disappointed in the experience I had last night. I will start with the good. Great patio, beautiful restaurant, friendly staff. The bad terrible overpriced drinks. A lemon drop was $15 and tasted like lemon water in a sticky glass. I tried to be optimistic since I ordered something not on the regular drink menu, so I switched it up and ordered a sprite and Vodka $10 I ended up with a cup of Sprite. So $25 down the drain. Ok let's try some delicious apps. Nope calamari was out and I got the last Thai chicken. Just all around disappointing for a place I really like. I hope it was just a bad day and not a change in service. Especially on the cocktails. A great bartender can usually make up for a lot but the drinks were so bad it just made the whole experience dismal. read more

Incredible atmosphere, hospitality and food. There are also plenty of options for private rooms for either smaller or larger functions.

Love the ambiance. Great aesthetics. Cute for photos. Big comfy booths for bigger groups. Music selection was great. Ordered 3 appetizers. Calamari- 7/10 Come with yummy Thai chili sweet sauce to dip them in Brussel Sprouts- 8.5/10 BEST THING WE HAD TONIGHT. Steak bites- 4/10, had soooo much potential, good flavor but over cooked and very chewy. Horseradish aioli served with it was not tasty and I like horseradish.... Scottish Salmon- 7/10 nothing to brag about Beyond Meat Burger- 7.5/10 although the salad it came with was disgusting. 0/10 Service started out good, the waitress seemed sweet, got our first round of drinks and then disappeared. She was busy sitting at a booth with another guy in a hoodie who wasn't even getting serviced, boyfriend maybe? Idk but we were neglected the rest of the night because her attention was elsewhere. Not a busy night, maybe 3 tables total. Drinks took 10 minutes minimum. Flagged her down to order more drinks and dinner, got in at 9:15, couldn't order dinner until 10:30 because our server came back to the table very seldomly.. Turned our great late double date into a not so enjoyable night. Husband didn't want to order dinner anymore because it took her so long to come check on us. It was all of our first time and I'm certain we won't be back. If service was up to par this place could be a big deal... read more

Love their burgers and steak appetizers. This is a great place to watch games and enjoy friends. Brunch was just okay. The restaurant is beautiful, by the way and I will give it another try. read more

My family decided to try something new and landed on Moxies. Great location right off the highway and around office buildings. The menu is an interesting mix of influence with inspiration from American, Asian, and Mexican cuisine (probably others that I'm missing). Our table shared the calamari and the thai chicken bites for the appetizer, and they ended up being the high points of the meal. The calamari itself was crisp but the dipping sauces tasted like pre-made dips you could pick up at the grocery store. The same thai sweet sauce from the calamari was used to coat the chicken. Overall, okay but wouldn't order it again. I originally ordered the salmon and avocado salad but was told two minutes after ordering that it wasn't available. No menu was brought back out so that I could choose something else so I defaulted to the cheeseburger and sweet potato fries that someone else had ordered. It was an average burger with a decent patty and sufficiently fresh produce toppings. It started to fall apart when it got soggy which made it difficult to eat. Sweet potato fries were average, nice salt and crunch. One thing that stood out was our server did not clear away our finished appetizer plates when we were done with them and it was a bit of a puzzle for her to put down our main plates. Despite checking on our table multiple times throughout the meal, the finished app plates and empty drink glasses remained. read more

A friend picked this place for all of us to check out, and I really enjoyed the ambiance. They have a decent happy hour menu, but it does end early. You can get discounted appetizers. Their guac is freshly made at the table, their poutine is pretty good, and the Thai chicken was definitely a favorite of mine. Their drinks are pretty decent, get the hard lemonade with Tito's vodka. I've been here twice, and so far the service has been great. read more

Love coming to Moxie's. We most recently went on a busy Friday night and did not have a reservation. We waited about 10 minutes for a table of 3 and our server was amazing (wish i remembered her name). Lunch - excellent service - food was great as if they took great pleasure and time to prepare. Dinner - Went back for dinner 2 days later. Service was poor, waited awhile before we even got water. Everything we asked the server for she said "oh, ok cool!" Ha! The Moscow mule - they ran out of copper cups so instead of giving us an option, they served it in a glass. I ordered the same thing for dinner as I did for lunch, and it was completely made differently and it was actually awful. Not cooked, sauce watery - So duly noted: food not consistent at all. $150 buyers remorse. Won't be back for dinner, but may try for lunch again. read more

Came here for brunch and we were really confused because the menu is much more limited than website. We are told the brunch menu online hasn't been updated and they are only offering FOUR items for brunch. They also only had 1 hostess and 1 waiter-bartender. Clearly this restaurant is going downhill. The good reviews and pictures are super misleading. read more

Went for DFW Restaurant Week preview. I'm not really sure everyone knew they were a part of it though by the look on their faces when I brought it up. Reservations were for 7 and we were sat right away. Took forever to get menus and then to even order drinks. Couple of snafus with orders all night. Including checks being wrong. But the food was great and the Restaurant Week menu was amazing. We were stuffed! read more

Everything is good about this place except for one thing that ruined it all. I was part of a big group, so Moxies pre-added a tip for 22.5%. That's ok with me. But then they add the same tip a second time on the credit card bill with a sum line below. If you add up the line on the credit card tape, you end-up paying 45% tip. Also they add a line for extra tip on top of this. I informed the manager who said he was aware of the issue and there is no way to fix it in the POS system. I disagree. Sadly everything else was good: the food, the drinks, the service and the environment. I hope Moxies will fix this in their POS so they don't cause their customers to accidentally pay 45% tips. read more

Five times here, finally a review! Hey, we stumbled on this place right about the time the Sandman Signature opened and came in on a lark. So, now we've be back probably 5 times and always have a great meal. Classy, casual place with trendy food and decor. Staff is always attentive, Jeremy took great care of us today with the friendly upbeat energy we've come to love. If you are looking for a place with lighter fare in a cool, upbeat environment we'd highly recommend Moxie! P.S. They have a great brunch menu on Sunday without a long line...i guess it's still kind of a secret. Check it out. read more

Food is actually decent. I knocked off a couple stars for service and ambiance. We had the chicken Parmesan sandwich, vege burger and kale quinoa salad with chicken. The prices are a little high but the flavors are decent. We sat in the bar area because there was no one to greet us to sit us down. We would have preferred to sit in the dining room because the bar was obnoxiously loud with all TVs blasting as well as the music. We stood in the front for a while when a girl in a short skirt and heels, who I thought was the hostess walked by and said we can sit anywhere. Okay. Then we sat there, like over 10 minutes while staff continued to walk by and paid us no attention. Finally I flagged down a dude and asked if he was our waiter since he walked by us a dozen times. Nope he wasn't. I asked if he would mind getting us some water and our server. He came back with water that tasted like watered down ice tea. Finally at past the 15-minute mark, our waitress comes. We had seen her at the table next to us just chatting with a dude that wasn't eating. Yep. The hostess looking girl was our waitress. Then I realized all the waitresses looked like the slutty assistant at the office. This restaurant is attached to the Sandman hotel and caters to traveling businessmen. So I guess this place is where they can objectify young women while eating a burger. It's fine if an establishment wants to be that way, but I didn't expect it from here. Where was I? Oh yeah, so we order and the food came pretty quickly. The waitress just ogled my son and refilled his water glass but no one else's at the table (this happens to us a lot). We where there for over an hour and a half and watched a group of four sit down at a high top and pretty much did what we did when we first sat down--waited...for anyone...to notice them. Maybe we'll come back and insist on the dining room or maybe we won't. read more

Okay, third time here, totally new experience. First time was a bust but the manager immediately reached out to me and was amazing in her desire to listen and improve...we were a little hesitant with the Covid situation but thought they deserved another shot. Delicious. Loved the place the meat was perfect and the sides delicious. A very nice atmosphere.

Underwhelming service and ok food for the cost. Came with two friends, 4 adults and a child. First off it was a ghost town at the reception desk. Until there were multiple couples to be seated. Finally seated and my friend is a big guy so had to move multiple times for a comfortable seat. Once moved our server, while polite was lost. Our drinks were requested many times throughout the evening, drinks were empty for many times and finding our server was next to impossible. The other seating hostess and assuming managers were jumping in to help. For $200 with three alcohol beverages 1 salad, and 4 sandwiches(1being a child's meal at $9) it was not worth the cost or exorbitant amount of time spent for a low key meal. Save your money and find a great local place within a mile of this place. read more

I've been to this location a couple time and it's fairly consistent. I really enjoy the drinks here and the happy hour is great. This location is pretty new and looks really really nice.
