I've been here three times now, and I can safely say that this is the best brunch spot in Plano. I have tried out the highest rated places, the trendiest places, the hidden gems, and there are some really good ones out there. Bliss clears all of them. It's not actually close which is saying a lot, because Plano's brunch game is top notch. The eggs are always cooked perfectly. They're a soft, moist consistency where they're usually a bit overcooked and dried out. The vegetables are always fresh. The hash browns are always the right level of crisp. Everywhere else seems to make them either too crisp or a little too soft. I thought I preferred them soft, because I didn't like them too crispy, but I was wrong. I just didn't have them cooked properly before. The French toast is really good and buttery. Even if everything else was terrible, the biggest reason to come is for the pancakes. I've been around a long time. I have lived all over the United States and in rural areas, large urban centers, suburbs. I have traveled extensively throughout the country. Also my wife is a fantastic cook, and I've been working on perfecting my pancake game for my toddler. The pancakes here are the best I have ever had. Ever since my first time here I have been trying to emulate their pancakes. I've added extra butter, powdered sugar, brown sugar, syrup, buttermilk to my batter. I just can't seem to get it as good as theirs. I'm considering asking if they'll share the recipe, so I can try to recreate it at home haha. It's set up like a regular diner in a strip mall. They have coffee bar too. Some of the drinks are good (I like lattes) and others have been not so good. Overall I like the concept, and it's nice to grab something while you wait. They'll also serve coffee drinks at the table. Even with a lot of people or during what should be busy times the wait is never long. The food is also cooked so fast. You sit down, order, then your food arrives. Water never runs low. The service is some of the best I've ever seen. Multiple people swing by to check on you. There's always someone moving around to make sure everyone is topped off or taken care of, but it never feels intrusive. They've just done a really good job hiring charming staff. Was excited for this place base on reviews but it seems we fell through the cracks for food and service.. Got sat and it took at least 15 to be acknowledged and that's because I waived someone down. Saw two large parties got up and their table get cleaned re-sat and greeted before we were even acknowledged. We were able to order with the busser, but when our food came out, we had no maple syrup and it took another 15 minutes to flag someone down to get some by that point the pancake was cold. One of us went with a bacon avocado Benedict and didn't have any bacon on it. We then asked for some and got cold bacon bits.. just over all not what we expected. Finally got to try this spot out and had a great experience. Upon arrival the spot was busy but the staff were very welcoming and nice. We had to wait 5-10 minutes for a table for a Saturday which is quick to me. Once seated we ordered a chicken carnitas skillet and hash stack. The skillet was perfectly seasoned and had great flavors. It also came with a stack of 2 pancakes which were phenomenal. They were large and tasted amazing! The hash stack was heavier for a meal but also seasoned nicely and tasted great! We also ordered a French combo which was perfectly done and not super sweet! The ambiance of the restaurant was busy for a Saturday but also seemed like food was coming out quickly and people were finishing their meals and able to make space for new customers quickly.
