Great place for a special occasion or nice date. We ordered from the prix fixe menu, which included our choice of appetizer, main dish and dessert. I ordered the cheese plate as my appetizer, the truffle souffle for my main, and the raspberry souffle for my dessert. The cheese plate had 4 wonderful cheeses and a number of tasty accompanying treats like figs and cornichon pickles. I would very much recommend it. The main souffle was kinda one note. The mushroom flavor was strong and I wish there was more cheese or some larger chunks of mushroom, perhaps some gravy, but that may be too british. I enjoyed this, but I will try another souffle when I return. On the other hand, my raspberry dessert souffle was delicious. Lightly flavored and sweetened on its own, the supplied raspberry sauce brought strong flavors to the pillowy souffle. The service was exceptional and the atmosphere here was outstanding. A unique experience that I enjoyed way more than I expected. We were celebrating a new job, so my partner and I got the set meals. My choices were the marshmallow soup, the jaubon and cheese, and the chocolate. My partner got a cheese plate, the truffle mushroom, and the raspberry. The marshmallow soup was as good as reviews described. A very good tomato bisque, and the marshmallows were true to texture while having a mild goat cheese flavor. The pesto touch was very good. Dip the bread they bring to the table in it for sure! My boyfriend also really liked the cheese plate. Note that the cheeses were blue cheese, Camembert, a goat cheese, and a truffle infused one. I'd say the main course was actually the low point for me, but it was still very good. Extremely fluffy meringue texture with egg taste. Partner and I agreed they were good but could've used some sort of sauce to add more notes. We both enjoyed our dessert soufflés more. Our waitress was kind enough to let me get chocolate, and it had the energy of a mug cake if you've ever made one. The chocolate sauce made it great. Boyfriend really loved his raspberry one, and described the sauce as melted ice cream. I tried a bit and would liken his to a muffin. The atmosphere was extremely cute and unique inside, with low light and character. Our waitress was attentive and offered great recommendations. It was overall a great place to have a slightly upscale meal or date, and I'm interested in returning. The artichoke appetizer in particular caught my eye. The rise salad was fantastic - crisp apples, sweet pecans, creamy gorgonzola, and a refreshing vinaigrette dressing. You must not skip out on this salad. I tried the Escargot and Bread Pudding soufflés. The Escargot was different from other soufflés as it had pockets of snail and dough instead of one giant soufflé. When you walk into Rise, you feel the essence of French around you (okay, maybe not in the Live in Texas books - but I get why they carry them). The restaurant is warm interior and cozy surroundings. I've loved Rise Souffle for years but this was my first time at the Plano location. I came for dinner on a weekend so it was busy but we were seated promptly. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy yet light with all of the French inspired decor. Our server was kind and made sure we had everything we needed. We visited while scouting a venue for a baby shower and it exceeded every expectation. The food alone would have won us over. The soufflés are truly the stars of the menu: I had the Southwest chicken while my friend chose the smoked salmon, and both were incredibly light, fluffy, and packed with flavor. Absolute perfection. Another visit to this amazing restaurant. I want to point out that I had an issue with a piece of decor that they actually rectified. I was shocked and impressed that they resolved the issue. That said, this visit consisted of their cheese platter, ahi Tuna dish, Steak and Pommes dish, chocolate soufflé and Pecan Praline soufflé. All absolutely excellent. Cute place, very cozy and intimate. It was busy when we arrived, but they did seat us as soon as they could. I had the jamon and gruyere souffle - very light and fluffy and savory. The bread was amazing - warm and soft with butter. We didn't love the cranberry/champagne dessert souffle we ordered - it was not cooked all the way through and was gummy in the center. Probably just a minor error in the kitchen not leaving it in the oven quite long enough. The souffles do not really fill you up; I was hungry again not long after. This is a great spot for a special or unique experience. It feels both magical and unpretentious at the same time (wine is served in small glasses, not wine goblets). I brought out of town guests that are generally healthy eaters, and rise has a lot of options for all diets that are well portioned. The prix fixe menu is an excellent deal, so long as the options in that menu have the items you wish to try. Still, it's quite a lot of food and I might recommend splitting items as tempting as it may be to order multiples. Service was a bit hit or miss. We were served dishes and didn't have utensils. Also, it wasn't until we got home that we sorted out that I received the cauliflower soufflé that my friend ordered, while she got my sausage dish. The soufflés look very similar so it makes sense the server got them mixed up, we only realized when my friend mentioned her cauliflower was spicy and mine didn't taste like sausage at all. As people that don't eat soufflés often, we just thought we didn't understand the taste and had a good laugh about it. Overall this is a nice spot and a welcome addition the Plano area. Next time I'll be asking for the "theater seats" -- there aren't many but if they are available you can watch the chef team in action! read more

When I used to live in DFW, I've heard rave reviews about rise soufflé. Then I moved away. But when the opportunity to visit DFW, I jumped at the chance! I learned there was a Plano location and was so excited! The dimmed atmosphere gave a very intimate feeling and promise of an enjoyable dining experience. My party and I were seated promptly and the staff who tended to us were so very friendly and engaging conversations with. I chose to order from "Select 3" - starter, entree, and dessert: rise salad made up of baby greens, blue cheese, roasted pecans, Granny Smith apples and pecan vinaigrette - this salad was so refreshing, I couldn't believe that I finished off the serving. Then I ordered the Jambon & Gruyère one of the savory soufflés offered - basically a ham and cheese - so fluffy and very savory! In another life I made a 10 part series on what really went down. My reality is a solo Sunday supper at an empty bar in rise because I'm in Plano and this is one of my fav places to escape for a meal that feels like it nourishes your soul. I've been here three times in the three months that I've lived here, and rise is consistently delicious. The marshmallow soup is so fun and yummy. The soufflés are perfection, my favorites are the truffle (savory) and pecan (sweet). Their apricot iced tea is refreshing and pairs nicely with everything. Their fresh warm bread loaf leaves me not knowing how to act around it and I love the little bread slicer. Their table linens are also very nice. This is a wonderful restaurant to enjoy for brunch, lunch or dinner. I've brought my Mom and bff when they've come out to visit. Service is always great, the environment can range from bustling to calm and it's always enjoyable. Rise soufflé is one of our favorite restaurants. Tara's Escargo is my usual "go-to"soufflé, but tonight I had one made with Blue Crab that I hope is added to their extensive list. All of rise's savory soufflés are delicious. For those along for dinner who aren't fans of soufflés, rise also offers delicious steak and fish entries. The rise salad and French Onion Soup are often my favorites to begin and the Artichoke Andreé is to die for. It doesn't really matter which rise you go to because the food and service are exquisite and always make us feel at home! We'd been to the Dallas location a few times before and found this one to be just as enjoyable of an experience! I had the salmon soufflé, had more of a cheesy flavor than I was expecting but still very enjoyable. We shared the chocolate soufflé for dessert which was the real star of the meal. Great experience at the Rise Souffle! From the outside, this place doesn't look like much since there are no lights or windows but they had great ambiance once you are inside! This is a great place for a dinner date because their ambiance is very romantic and private. We ordered their french onion soup and two soufflés. Both came out very delicious. We recommend ordering a savory soufflé then a sweet soufflé and sharing both during a date night. They had large portions so it is good to have a variety of flavors to share. The french onion soup was very delicious and it came out so hot! We were greeted right away and brought to our table. Our server explained the specials and gave me a lot of detail about the wine flights which I very much appreciated. I did not miss out on all the soufflé experience, so I ordered their marshmallow soup, Jambon & Gruyère soufflé, and raspberry soufflé for dessert. My friend ordered smoked salmon soufflé. Marshmallow soup didn't sound yummy (I mean, who makes soup with marshmallows?), but I was wrong. The tomato carrot bisque topped with goat cheese soufflé, made to look like marshmallows, was good. My friend and I shared the appetizer, and we both scraped our bowls to finish. The main entree soufflés were both airy, salty, and good. But I actually loved their raspberry soufflé. I've been to the Dallas location before and have had great experiences there! I was excited to find out there is a new location in Plano. I had a reservation and had to made adjustments to it last minute. The hostess was accommodating and assisted with that over the phone. We arrived on time but there was a little wait for the table. Service could have been better, our server had an attitude and wasn't attentive or seemed to care at all, maybe she was having a bad day. Our food was great, we ordered soufflés, salads and a charcuterie board. Simply cannot believe this building used to be a TGI Fridays! They did a beautiful job redoing it and turning it into the French ambiance that rise patrons have come to expect. They put the Mac and cheese soufflé on the permanent menu which makes me SO happy!!! Also tried the French onion soup for the first time and it was a 10/10.
