Bf and I have been here multiple times for date night. It's ALWAYS packed -- we always have to park a little further away and walk, but it's so worth it. The place is warm and inviting. Low light, always smells pleasantly of bread and marinara, and always a comfy temperature even on the patio. We've tried a few things here, but tonight we got the Garlic Rosemary Bread as an appetizer, and wow, what a sleeper. We loved this, probably our favorite appetizer we have had here. I also recommend the fondue as we have enjoyed that one in the past. Tonight bf got spicy rigatoni and I got carbonara. The carbonara here is great, very rich and tastes SO good when you mix in the poached egg. It's so rare to find a carbonara that isn't just Alfredo. Bf commented that the rigatoni actually had a kick to it (he says places tend to under spice a "spicy pasta") and he enjoyed his dish. We have also gotten pizza here before and highly recommend. Their dough and marinara sauces are incredible. Overall a nice place on the upscale side. On Friday nights like tonight, it can be LOUD, which is a downside. But with a reservation, we were seated immediately and all our service was very prompt by our waiter. Even with a full house, food was out in 15 minutes or maybe even less. Came here on a thursday night right before close and really enjoyed it here. The staff was very kind about us coming close to closing time and kept telling us to take our tim, which I really appreciate. To start we got the Garlic Puffs, house salad, and arancini, which I pleasantly enjoyed. The salad was fresh, and a great way to start the meal. The garlic puffs came with this salted whipped butter that pairs perfectly with the bread. The arancini was crispy and had a satisfying bite with some cheese pull which i liked :D For our pizzas, we got the margherita and egg mushroom pie. Since it was our first visit, they gave us free samples of each sauce, so now we know what we would get next time. We had the fennel sausage pizza and lollipop style wings. The prosciutto pizza was well balanced and light but still flavorful. The salami pizza had a fantastic taste and a lot of meat, typical meat-lovers type pizza. The mushroom pizza was a little disappointing to me; I usually really like mushroom pizzas but the mushroom flavor kinda got lost and the egg made this a bit difficult to eat. Really enjoyed our trip to Pie Tap. It was our first visit. I read about the sourdough crust from the reviews so I was open and curious. I loved the crust! Very tasty. The whole of the pie itself was new for us- its texture almost evaporates so definitely a different kind of pizza. For a person newly eating here I recommend just being open to a fresh take on pizza. We definitely liked it. This is an adult establishment with a great beverage selection plus mocktails. I enjoyed a frosé as my starter, and had wine with my dinner. My companion had a scrumptious blackberry smash. Cocktails are made with low shelf mixers as appropriate though it looked like they had some higher quality options if you prefer. Service was courteous. The atmosphere is trendy. We sat in the covered patio so it felt outside but also not in the blistering Texas sun. We will definitely return. The mushroom was good but it was a bit soggy because of the runny egg. The chicken was my next favorite and the salami was good too but I'm not a big fan of salami and sausage since it's a bit too oily and salty for me but the other people on my table enjoyed that a lot! After the wonderful takeout experience, we decided to stop by during the happy hour, and it was an amazing decision to say the least. The half pizzas deal was great, and all the pies are available as a part of the deal! Even though it was "half" pizza, the pizzas were more like a personal size pizza. We ordered a sausage pizza and a chicken pizza, both tasted amazing! In my brain thinking classic sausage pizza. I'm a simple person; I eat simple pizzas, (think Pizza Hut sausage pizza). No, I didn't read the menu. When the pizza arrived, I immediately thought we were mistakenly served someone else's order. What threw me off was the big table spoon sized petal shaped disks of onion. (looked like thin slices of potatoes). The sausage was hardly noticeable. The sausage that was on the pie, was a few thin slices of Italian link sausage and a few sprinkles of the meat. The center of the crust was very thin, ringed with a thick puffy crust. (Check the Pictures) It won't convert me from my favorite the classic version, but it was good. What made it even better was the dipping sauces for that outer ring of thick chewy, crispy crust. Three tasty versions were brought to the table. I think this is their gimmick, thick chewy crust and dipping sauces. My wife and daughter had the margherita pizza. Simple, much like the classic version, served on a similar crust to what I described. Dipping sauces and the thick ring of outer crust for the win. The restaurant's pizza didn't win me over on this first sampling. It's worthy of another try. read more

Weirdest mac ever for kids - too exotic? The chicken tenders tasted all right, but it was pounded flat and heavy on the batter, so not that much meat.
