This place is SO good! My only complaint is that it isn't walking distance from my house, because I'd be here all the time. I've tried both the matcha and coffee drinks, and both are amazing depending on whether I need a bigger caffeine kick that day. So far I've ordered the pandan coffee, milk phin coffee, ube matcha latte, and blue coconut coffee. All were delicious! I love trying something new every time because I know it'll hit. One FYI: if you ask for less ice, they don't add extra liquid to make up for it, so don't be shocked if your drink looks a little empty. The drinks also run a bit on the sweeter side. The workers are all so nice and welcoming with any questions I have, and they always get drinks out quickly even when it's busy. After tasting for the very first time their, Black Phin Coffee (Ca Phe Den), I was truly craving more. BLACK PHIN: It's kind of difficult to describe what kind of flavor it is and what makes this particular Vietnamese coffee blend so unique. I usually prefer hot coffee. When you first get it, it offers a sweet aroma, like notes of condensed milk. But, it's not sweet flavored. Unless you prefer cream and sugar in your coffee. With every sip it becomes more and more uniquely flavorful. It offers a bold flavor for your taste buds. I typically can drink up to two 12oz cups, but even then I don't finish the entire cup. This one, I can finish the entire cup and crave more. ATMOSPHERE: The space is cozy and small. It stays busy throughout the day. It offers limited seating with a unique layout. You will find a few tables with chairs to the left of the entrance. Three open cubbyholes with tables and chairs, on the right side. The middle cubbyhole has a beautiful wooden world map. They have a small waiting area in the corner. This corner offers large wooden shelves full of unique merchandise for all your coffee needs. The shelves look like they've been thoughtfully designed and look elegant without overcrowding the space. SERVICE: All three times I've visited the service has been welcoming, efficient and the order made right. Even if your order is not to your satisfaction, they'll gladly remake it for you. The staff were friendly and helpful if you're new to Vietnamese coffee culture. PARKING: Extremely difficult to get a parking spot here. Be sure to plan your visit accordingly. The egg cream coffee was great, the egg cream complemented the strong taste of Viet coffee. The coconut matcha cloud was a little underwhelming. The matcha flavor was pretty weak, so the drink tasted mostly like coconut water. For the prices, $8 is a bit expensive for a cup of coffee, but I think it's still worth every once in a while. Surprisingly not many coffee shops open before 9am in the area but was glad this place was open bright and early. Decor is modern and great place to hang if you plan on sticking around but they're pretty efficient on the grab and go. I love Vietnamese coffee and what they have here is excellent and best of all not too sweet. Generally I find most shops take to be made with cafe du monde and a lot of condensed milk but this here has definitely better beans and a better balance between acidity, sweetness and other flavors. It's also straight up rocket fuel - be warned, it's a very strong and potent brew but will get you going in the morning. I also tried a black sesame latte because it sounded interesting. The cream on top is nutty and rich with the sesame notes and the coffee is good too, though a bit hard to stir together, nor is it as potent as the drip but well crafted nevertheless. When I come again I think I would just pick the classic. All in all, great new coffee shop! read more

WiFi info is posted by the cashier. Interior is pretty trendy with pop music thumping in the background. Ordered an Americano and the black sesame latte. The drinks took about 10 minutes. The iced Americano (no ice requested) came out only half full, so I'm guessing the volume is capped either way. It was fine, nothing special. The black sesame latte was pretty standard -- coffee on the bottom with a thick layer of black sesame cream on top. They give you a straw, but honestly a spoon (which they don't have available) would've been better so you can actually enjoy the coffee and cream together. Their straws are a bit hard to get out of their wrappers. I noticed a few people (other than us) wrestling with their straws. I may come back to try their dine-in-only drip coffee. read more

After coming back a few times I realized that the service is quite inconsistent. Sometimes they don't inform of your order number so you have to camp at the pick up area along with everyone else waiting. And then other times they just bring it straight to you. Sometimes the drinks take a really long time to be made while other times the wait is reasonable. The very last time I went I asked for light ice as I was going to be moving around a lot and didn't want the melted ice to dilute the taste. I was so shocked to see that the cup was barely halfway full. That just means when you order regular ice, you're really only getting half a cup, for $6?? I stopped coming here and then my friend recently showed me they put up a disclaimer about how they put the same volume regardless of ice. We ordered a Pandan Cream Latte, Banana Matcha Latte, and an Iced Crème Brûlée and all were actually delicious!! You can choose the sweetness & ice levels (we got regular). I prefer my coffees slightly sweeter so this was perfect for me, however, if you like yours more bitter then you should request less sugar. The cafe is a little smaller on the inside, but quaint and clean. It seems like a popular cafe so I wouldn't recommend coming here to study/work. I took a while to decide on what drink I wanted (there were so many unique drinks; it was so hard), and he checked up on me a few times! Such great customer service. Go bold or go home, I decided, and went with the Durian Latte. I don't even know what words to use to even describe it. It was THAT good! The slight bitterness of the coffee was complemented with the sweetness of the durian, and every few sips I would be pleasantly surprised with bits of durian. It was truly such a unique drink with an interesting flavor dynamic; I've never had a drink like this. And I never found another drink like this again (not when I was in New York or Atlanta). This space is Intimate and welcoming. If you know what you want to order there is a kiosk for you to do that.
