I went here on a whim because I had been wanting to try Chunky Boss for awhile. It is a small shop, and the restaurant is housed within the Tiger Sugar boba shop so it's easy to overlook. When ordering there is two kiosk, and someone working the register. The kiosk wouldn't cooperate with me however the person working was happy to help me out! The drink I got wasn't great but still good - I expected more brown sugar boba, since it is an up charge that's generally what I associate with tiger sugar, the brown sugar coating the walls of the cup. I got a Cocoa Cookie, Coffee Jelly Milk Tea. The Chunky Boss chicken was delicious though, it was filling, it's a large Taiwanese style cutlet, pounded and breaded. You can choose from four seasonings, and get one sauce on the side I opted for the sweet chili sauce. This is made to order so you will have a 10-15 minute time but just spend that time getting excited for the chicken! read more

I've been here a several times and the quality of the drinks continues to get worse with each visit. The first time I ordered the brown sugar milk tea with cream mousse, it was SO delicious and made me want to keep coming back. However, the drinks got less flavorful with each visit, even when I branched out to try their other drinks. My most recent visit was the worst boba drink I think I've had in my life. Watery; flavorless- not remotely sweet OR creamy despite it being a milk tea with cream mousse. So this is a nice place to grab a boba tea and get refreshed. Its not full as people usually grab the drink and leave. They do have 3-- tables for people who want to sit. I went with my husband and baby so we sat there for a while. I tried their mango saga and it was very refreshing. Their glass size was fairly good and the mango chunks tasted so good with the drink inside. My husband had the signature drink and he said it was OK. I tasted it and found it on a sweeter side but you have to mix it well before tou sip it, that's how I realised it wasn't too sweet, we hadn't simply mixed it well. Today I'm in the area and decided to give it a try. I wasn't disappointed. It's not as big as others mentioned, but a good size. All the black sugar drinks are fantastic! I haven't had a disappointing drink. However, for the price, the drink sizes are a bit small for them. Drove 40 minutes here to get Chunky Boss. There is never anyone at the counter so you order using a kiosk. We placed our order at 9:00:43pm with no idea that the kitchen closed at 9:00pm. They only informed us that the kitchen was closed at 9:05 pm AFTER making our drink and only offered a refund of the food which will take 3-4 days. Also, didn't receive a receipt because the machine was broken. Had we know the situation, we wouldn't have accepted the drink and requested a full refund. I'm not sure how much of a difference 43 seconds makes. Sure seems like if their machine (only way of ordering) malfunctioned even letting us order that they would have made just one chicken. You can find much better teas around so skip it unless you're dying to get the chicken. Also, the inside isn't great because there really is no where to sit. UPDATE: CM Chicken is literally right across the road and has even better chicken with huge portions at an affordable price! read more

The event was cute and intense- I got there over 3 hours before opening, but it was worth it to be the first 10 in line for the free promo hello kitty reusable boba holder and BOGO deal. Besides the event; the workers were so kind to answer my questions on the drink specifics considering the line they had. I got 2 kitty crushes (crystal boba and aloe jelly) which is essentially strawberry milk tea with toppings and jam. So good! Most of the boba drinks here aren't sugar adjustable and on the sweeter side. I'd rec this place if you like more processed boba versus traditional/authentic ones- it's really just a preference. I had to see what all the rage was at tiger sugar with their hello kitty collab. The story was pretty packed when we were there, but was it was convenient to order with their self order machines. We tried their hello kitty special drink and I would said it wasn't my favorite. I ended up order the #1 - their classic drink - and I really enjoyed that. Went in the other day to grab a boba and decided to try the chicken. I ordered two combo with the cutlet chicken at the register. When I received the order turns out the kid at the register only ranged me up for a drink and the culet. I procceed to ask the lady in the store and all said was oh you only ordered the drink and cutlet. Thats the first bad part. The second was the chicken. Omg bitting into it was like rubber. This has got to be the worst chicken ive ever had. Gave me such a bad taste and feel in the mouth that I felt sick in the stomach after from one bite. The only drawback (which isn't a drawback if you are a regular and know what you want) is the kiosk-ordering format. There are three... but when it's so busy, there's regularly a line for any of them. The big screens are easy to read, but there's lots of scrolling due to how many options there are!
