    Sparkling Passionfruit w/ Basil Seeds

A great place to go after a hearty meal for drink dessert. This place has changed quite a bit since it first opened. The quality of the teas and drinks have improved significantly. A straight forward ordering system and really fast service. The yogurt drinks are some of the best I've ever had. It's also one of the only places that has sparkling (carbonated) drinks.

Gong Cha is one of my favorite boba shops in the area. The staff is friendly and the service is quick. So quick in fact, I didn't have time to check into Yelp before my order was ready. Lol! But most importantly, the tea is consistently good! The tea taste the same each time I order it and the boba always tastes fresh. This is the key to keeping a boba fan happy!

Lemon Ai - Yu w/ white pearls & Mango Milk Slush

$4 ish each for medium sized drink! We came in after lunch and grabbed Togo drinks! It's the same process as most tapioca places now! You have the option to choose how much ice, how sweet you want the drink to be, size of the drink (medium or large), and any added toppings! They have a lot of topping options! Red bean, white pearl, black pearl (tapioca), Ai Yu Jelly, grass jelly, coconut jelly, and more! ** Just a heads up, the white pearls.. have a palm seed texture, doesn't taste like black tapioca pearls! The mango milk slush: the mango slush is so refreshing!!! We got the regular sweetness. It was so smooth and had a very light mango taste! You can definitely taste the milk in it! The Lemon Ai Yu was refreshing as well! I did ask for 30% sweet and they did give me 50% instead.. but it was probably because you can't hear me with a mask on! Regardless, it was delicious!! There are chunks of dried lemon peels which adds crunch in this drink along with the white pearls and Ai-Yu!! Would definitely come back !! Getting 4 stars instead of 5 because my order was incorrect.

Medium oolong milk tea with pearls

My favorite boba place (better than Kung Fu, Sharetea, etc.). I love the tea of the tea (oolong or earl gray), as well as the texture of the pearls. They also have loads of other different types of teas and drinks, although I tend to stick to my classic oolong milk with pearls, less ice and 70 percent sweetness. Not a huge store, but decent amount of seating.

(Review #4) Another popular tea shop originating from HK, I find their tea flavors overall consistent. They have a good variety of regular teas, fruit teas, and some slushees with a small bit of coffee. They also offer seasonal drinks as well. My usual item is just a simple tea (usually earl grey/oolong/green) with a milk foam as a topping. The milk foam has a good balance of initial saltiness with a nice smooth cream taste towards the end. The green tea isn't a standard green tea with the bitterness, rather a jasmine green tea variant. Another local tea that I frequent as well in the metro, would recommend any of the regular teas, fruit teas, and the yogurt drinks--though be sure to adjust the sweetness level to your preference accordingly, some of the fruit teas come pretty sweet. Not a coffee drinker so I can't speak for the coffee, but the teas are solid. 【Menu Items Ordered & Rating Details】 〇 Green Tea w/ milk foam; 50% ice, 50% sweetness 【Food/Drinks: 4】 〇 Good variety of teas, fruit teas, and smoothies, with a small selection of coffee, flavoring is mostly consistent with teas, fair overall menu variety. 【Service: 5】 〇 Staff is very friendly and helpful, time to serve for drinks is short as well, nice and quick service even during busy hours 【Atmosphere: 4】 〇 Store is well maintained and bathroom is clean, they have some tables for seating both outside and inside. 【CP: 3.5】 〇 Drinks are priced relatively the same like the rest of the metroplex, they do offer a rewards program for free drink redemptions as well.

Arguably my FAVORITE boba shop in DFW, hand's down! If you love boba and you have not tried Gong Cha, then you're missing out. Gong Cha in Carrollton is a small shop, located across the street from HMart in a small area. Lots of parking, and there's usually a crowd. One of my favorite aspects of Gong Cha is their wide variety menu, which caters to both milk tea and fruit tea lovers alike. Their teas are bold and flavorful-- you can actually taste the tea in their drinks. You can even adjust the sweetness and ice level to your liking. They cook their boba perfectly chewy as well. If you're a sweet tooth, then Dirty Brown Sugar Milk Tea and Creme Brulee Milk Tea with pudding are my two go-to options that I get less sweet. They also come out with seasonal drinks, which I'm looking forward to trying in the future!

Strawberry Matcha Latte and Strawberry Taro

Such a great little boba spot! Had the Strawberry Matcha Latte and the Strawberry Taro with strawberry pearl topping. Both drinks tasted great! Thought the Strawberry Taro was super sweet with the normal amount of sugar, so if I were to order again, I'd definitely get less sugar. And the matcha drink wasn't all that sweet, so it wouldn't hurt to add a little more sugar to it, but I liked it as is.

Every time I hit up Texas, Gongcha is my BoBa Tea to go to. They have so much variety and seasonal drinks. My favorite that I always get is Earl Grey Milk Tea with 3J's, one of their signature milk tea drinks. The frangrant and brew of the tea leave u can taste it when you sipped the drink. Smell amazing and super delicious. I have try almost everything they have, and never been disappointed! You will be happy after getting this Boba from here. I always leave Happy!!!

There are definitely a lot of boba places in this area, but this place is a diamond in the rough. What I like is the ambience here! There seems to be an outlet for every table, so there's no worrying that you won't have somewhere to charge your devices when you need to study or get some work done. We were studying by the front face of the store, where sun can come and glare inside. Luckily, they have these really dark shades they pull down to help prevent the sun from glaring into a lot of people's faces and screens. I was here on a Sunday afternoon, and it wasn't too busy or too loud. There would be a few people come in, grab their drinks, and head out. Not too many people stay for very long, making it a great place to stick around and study without having too many distractions. This might change around the dinner/after dinner time, but I wasn't around that long to experience how the noise changes. As for working and studying, the WiFi password is on the receipt, so if you're too awkward to ask, ordering something is enough to get access! The boba is alright; nothing to write home about. Compared to some other places, it is a little pricier for a smaller drink, but it's still delicious and a good treat to accompany a study or work session. I'll definitely make an appearance back here in the future when I need a good quiet boba place to study with minimal distractions!

This is the second time I've been to Gong Cha. I got the Creme Brûlée brown sugar boba hot the first time and this time I got it cold with 50% sweet. It was still amazing. I love it. The service was quick and the girl at the front desk was polite and helped me decide if I wanted hot vs cold. Inside was bustling with young adults playing games and having conversations so it was a bit on the louder side. All in all I enjoy their boba.

The place was neat and alike with other Gong Cha place interior. The service was fine and nothing special. The Milk Tea was quite have different taste from other Gong Cha place we had. We still enjoyed it but hopefully they check the amount they put in as it taste like more milk and were not able to taste the tea.

This is such a cute little boba cafe. Currently, there's no sit downs, but you can still enjoy your boba. My sister got the dirty brown sugar milk tea, & I got my simple oolong milk tea You can customize your ice & sweetness level here, so that's always a plus.

    Gong in 60 seconds

This is where they filmed "Gong In 60 Seconds" and, slightly more recently, "Gong With The Wind." This GC has some pretty nice employees although they we're not quite as ridiculously out-of-the-way friendly as the ones up in Plano. However I have to give the massive credit because not only did they make me a really good brown sugar milk tea but they allowed me to stay 15 minutes past closing while they were cleaning up. I didn't even ask - they just let it happen. Although the place in Plano would do that as well, it is very out of character for Gong Cha, and in general for a bubble tea shop or any shop really. So between the excellent product and this great element of the service as well as the comfortable seats I would give it 5 stars easily. My main complaint is that Wi-Fi would not work for my computer although it worked on my phone. I'm not sure why it didn't work on my computer because Wi-Fi usually does. But I'm not Gong to worry about it.

I will definitely be ordering this as my go-to. It was creamy, sweet, and just a tad sour. I went with 80% sugar per my friend's recommendation and that was definitely enough sugar. - Strawberry Matcha Latte: the first few sips were amazing, but then I started noticing a heavy powdery taste. Unfortunately it didn't get better and I had to ask a worker if I could switch out my drink, which they did for me for free. - Passionfruit (2 topping) Tea: the taste was good and I loved the stringy boba topping but the tea had a dry aftertaste which I didn't enjoy. Overall the prices are definitely up there ($7.50 for a drink) but it can be worth it. It's across the street from the Carrollton plaza and has some parking in the front. There are some small tables inside but it's usually pretty busy. Orders don't take too long to come out.
