To me Boba has a few categories, the old school bubble tea spots that had snacks and powdered drinks versus fresh brewed. Then you have some higher tiered places that brew fresh, infuse, focus on flavors and not sweetness. I find this to be a bit of both in that most of their drinks are sweet despite having sparkling water drinks that are decaf and they have sweetness levels. I've come here a few times and noticed very little difference between their levels depending on the drink.The thai milk tea at 25% sweetness tastes like the ginger milk tea with 50% sweetness and the matcha latte at 75%. There is a perceived sweetness. At first i'd go full sweetness on everything and then i started knowing which one's tasted best at what levels. The trick is to add the milk foam to a 25% sweetness to accentuate the sweetness without actual sugar. As a Filipino i'm glad they havent bastardized Ube like Starbucks did, and also not mad they leaned into the Matcha craze. Sea Salt pearl dessert is good, but could use better balance in flavors/texture. To be honest when I'm craving an actual dessert I'd rather go to Andy's for a sugar rush, so I come here for the jasmin apple grean tea, kiwi basil green tea with sparkling water. I like their oolong's and earl grey. I'm not a big fan of their dirty boba To me I never go full ice or no ice. No ice doesn't provide correct dilution and regular leaves a more than half full cup of ice at the end. Less ice keeps it cold, dilutes it until the end. I found the Vietnamese coffee to be a little weak and not the usual kick in the face. Prices are pretty good, rewards system is nice. Portions are solid. Decor is clean, nice, family friendly, great for gathering, but can get crowded. Service is hit or miss, they seem unconfident in their drink making and order taking, either they are nervous at how busy it can get or aren't efficient in their process. The wait can be long regardless of the line. With the lack of competition and the fact they don't have any glaring weakness it's a solid spot for the outskirts. read more

Cute little Coffee shop in Coppell on Denton tap. I was introduced to Feng cha by a coworker. He brought the Vietnamese coffee. I loved it and I was bouncing off the walls. Lol. I had to go back and ask him what he put in it. It was my first time trying Vietnamese coffee and drank the whole thing pretty quick. I didn't know it was a bit stronger that regular coffee. But I still love it, I just have to pace myself or just drink about half at a time. read more

This place is disgusting. The flora, table tops and bathroom were so dirty. The person behind the counter did nothing, just sat and played on his phone. Loud music blaring from the TV. We should have walked straight out, but I needed something to drink. The tea and cake were good. It was spoilt by the disappointing service and being unhygienic. I know now why it was empty. What a shame to trash such a promising franchise. Hopefully, they can improve. In the meantime, I would not recommend it. read more

This place is seriously good and the best surprise was when I found out all the drinks are lactose free! If you don't want lactose free milk than you can sub for alternatives. Updating my past review as I've now come several times and have had luck with getting boba each time. Whew. :) The bubble tea here is consistently great, and I feel like the quality for the price point is very reasonable. I am currently stuck on the matcha breeze, which is a blended matcha drink with cheese foam on top. My second favorite would be the creme brulee drink which comes with caramelized, crunchy sugar bits on top. Delicious! read more

I happen to find myself in this part of town randomly and I was craving a Mango Au Lait. I was really happy to see there was a location nearby, so I placed an order on the Feng Cha Mobile app. When I arrived, the shop was very busy. I waited in line to pick up my drink. Once I got to the front of the line, my drink had been sitting on the counter. I was surprised it wasn't in a cooler. In any case, I immediately left and then drove off. As I was heading down Denton Tap, I got around to tasting the drink. Ugh- I wish I had tried it in the shop because it tasted way off. I've ordered the Mango Au Lait 10+ times from the Feng Cha by my house, so I know what it's supposed to taste like. It tastes almost like Froot Loops milk, YUM, but this one was crazy sweet (I ordered 75% sweet) and tasted like it lacked milk. The ratio was way off. I had already driven off and I didn't feel like waiting through throngs of people to ask that it be remade. It's too bad because at the other location, the taste is so consistent, I didn't think to taste it till I was already en route to my next destination. If I had never been to a Feng Cha, I would not return based on the taste of this drink. It's crazy that I ordered a drink at 75% sweet and got a super-sweet version. It was a disappointment. I know it gets busy and it can be stressful, but I would suggest the team at this Feng Cha slow down at this location and ensure the drink is being made properly. It should always taste the same and that attention and care would make all the difference. There are a ton of boba tea places around now, and frankly most of them are pretty good, finding the 'best' drink at each place is the key, then going to whichever one has that drink when you're in the mood for it. Today I finally made it into Feng Cha, which I've been driving past for several months now. A lot of the menu sounded good but what I was really jonesing for was a good vietnamese iced coffee. Now, it's a boba tea place, and many of the boba tea places offer vietnamese iced coffee but frankly most of the ones I've had at boba places are decent but not gold standard. Which is understandable since it's on the periphery of their specialty. But, Feng Cha's vietnamese iced coffee is top notch. The only one I've had in the DFW metro that is superior is at Savor in Arlington, which is perfect, but far from where I live. If Savor's is a 10, the one at Feng Cha was a 9.5, and it's only a few miles from my house vs. a 30+ minute drive. So, I'm happy. Hubby ordered the dirty boba and he enjoyed it, he had to mix it up a bit to get the flavors to mend. I had a sip and it was good but honestly it's not my preferred flavor profile (which is pretty much what I've had to say about the one he's gotten at every place we've tried. So if you like brown sugar boba, feel free to try Feng Cha's and see what you think). As far as the shop goes, it's spacious with lots of seating and great natural light. I could hold knitting group there and we'd be set. However, despite the ample tables... all the power outlets are capped off. So there's nowhere to plug in a laptop. Don't expect to sit here and work for longer than your laptop battery will last. But, it's nice cheery ambience for that time. I'm not sure if I'll get around to trying the other nice sounding drinks on the menu now that I've found one that I love on the first go, but I might. read more

My first time and I heard this is pretty popular from the bay so we had to try. It's pretty good actually. There are pretty good choices for drinks and we'll of course bobba teas. What I like about it is that you have the option for the level of sweetness. I'm trying to cuty sugar and you can. Reduce sugar by percentage. I usually get 70% sweet only and it's just perfect for me. I love the coffee jelly as that is what I usually order but their tapioca is a little bit tough to chew. My husband doesn't mind though. He said it's fine with him. We had some bobba tea before in one close to Irving and their tapioca is just so soft and yummy and he agrees with me on that. Although the tea place is no longer there :( All in all, theirs is pretty good. Oh by the way we ordered tiramisu but it doesn't come close to any tiramisu that I tasted ;). Our FAVORITE boba shop! Pretty much everything we have tried here has been excellent- and we appreciate that they have a rewards system! The coffee milk tea, oolong milk tea or taro milk tea (all with boba) are our favorites! We have frequented this place since it opened and hope it continues to do so- the hours seem to change and they are open a bit longer during the summer. EDITED REVIEW: We have visited several times with friends and family. They always end up messing up the drinks. We have gotten the citrus overload which according to the menu does not contain ginger, but when we got it, it was packed with ginger. The drink ended up being so spicy that no one in my family could finish it, so we had to throw it. We still decided to give this place a try and ordered their teas with light ice, their teas taste really watery. There was very little tea taste. We still love Feng Cha, but this location is not the best. The location in Carrollton is way better! read more

As someone who likes her milk teas to have a strong tea-taste, Feng Cha really missed the mark. My oolong milk tea at 75% sweet had a strange caramel flavor to it and I could barely taste the oolong. Also ordered a lychee oolong tea less sweet, and it tasted vaguely like lychee oolong, but overall it was pretty watery. We also asked for less ice and received a drink with no ice. It wasn't even cold. Based on all the positive reviews, maybe I came on an off day--the workers all looked like they didn't know what they were doing, which was also reflected in how long it took for our drinks to come out. Totally understand that people can be learning/training, but disappointing when it feels like I paid for something subpar.
