Texas Tab and a swanky cup. haha
    Alex L.

Great place for a sugar fix and hang out with your friends and family. I ordered a Texas Tab which is a Dr Pepper, Vanilla and Coconut Cream. Not sure what a tab is but it was tasty. Pair that with the friendly and down to earth service and you get Swig. To my understanding, this is a newer location. A bit hidden from Denton Tap but just plug in the address and you'll find it. Only been here a handful of times and each new experience is consistent with the others!

First time here! Finally found a Swig location! My gps didn't find it right away I had to drive around the buildings to locate it. However the drive thru guy was really nice and helpful. We loved our drinks - will come back again if near area. I got island time and surprisingly good!!

Agave vanilla soda with vanilla and coconut added

Today I tried Swig for the first time and myself and my daughter were happy with our drinks. I had a taste for a vanilla drink so I created my own soda and had a Vanilla cream soda with vanilla and coconut added. It was delicious!! I found a new drink spot.

Extremely disappointing experience at A Swig. We arrived well before the dinner rush and placed our order promptly--yet somehow, at least 10 other customers who came in after us were served before us. At the time of this writing, our order is now six minutes late, and still nothing. To make it worse, a staff member even called our order name loudly to the back, clearly realizing something was wrong--and then... silence. No follow-up, no apology, no update. Just more waiting while everyone else gets their food. We used their loyalty program for this order, and based on what we're seeing, that was clearly a mistake. If anything, using the rewards program seems to slow things down, not speed them up. We won't be making that mistake again--we're done with their loyalty system and likely done with this place. If you're looking for a spot that values its regulars and can manage orders in a basic first-come, first-served way, A Swig isn't it.

    The drink I received.

Any Italian will tell you how rich Ice Cream is compared to Gelato and most Americans wont be able to tell whats worse for you Ice Cream or Custard considering the egg yolks really do make it richer. As a Californian visiting my sister and doing a BBQ tour I was kind of tired of banana pudding, peach cobbler and as much as I love both (also pecan pie). Something about the roasted and sugared pecans really does go with everything. The softness, cold pairs with the crunch and richness and the nuttiness. Rico Suave was amazing, great choice when I asked the staff what they reccomend. I came back the following day to try their turtle split. Something about the hot fudge and custard not being too old really keeps things from freezing. Add the marshmallow cream is a real blend of the regular banana split and the turtle. Service was great, good reccomendations from the staff and friendly locals waiting for their orders. Prices are affordable, portions are large. I can only imagine how popular this place is in the summer, I came during a cold front, a light freeze, a cold snap as you will. Although I walked here I could see the need for more outdoor seating despite seeing mostly car traffic there are neighborhoods and a school nearby. I'm hoping next time I come back they have their seasonal key lime flavors. The only weird things is the chocolate custard machine slowing extruding towards the front which looks alot like something else.

The food looks delicious and well labeled and organized in the casing. All allergies and food ingredients are listed. My constant favorite is the Lavender Matcha Frappuccino, I get it every time I go. I also really love the Matcha mochi doughnut on the side sometimes. They have great breakfast sandwiches as well, but if you're like me, you ask them for a special order to take the mayonnaise/mustard off of it. You cannot go wrong with this place. The outdoor patio consists of just a couple of tables on the sidewalk, which can make it difficult if you're visiting alone with your dog, as there's no shaded or cooled seating outside while you go in to order. And inside it's not dog friendly. Inside, the décor presents a mix of tables and chairs that matches the French café atmosphere. The menu focuses mainly on French pastries. Prices are on the higher side, so I was hoping for a bit more in terms of quality. I tried the six mini croissants (around $7), which were good but tasted slightly stale. The crab pastry was the highlight--fresh, flavorful, and something I'd happily order again. I also tried the Nutella-filled sugar doughnut, which was a bit disappointing. The filling was quite runny and tasted more diluted than rich, lacking the distinctive hazelnut thick flavor you'd expect. I was looking forward to eating a croissant today, but this place didn't quite have what I was expecting

I had notified the restaurant in advance that we were celebrating three birthdays. The food was somewhat mixed. The Chicken Alfredo lacked seasoning and was underwhelming, while other dishes, including the meatballs and chicken parmesan, were satisfactory. I personally ordered a pizza, and it was excellent. It was easily the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the service significantly impacted our overall experience and is the primary reason for my low rating. Our server, Casey, was not attentive or welcoming throughout the visit. One member of our party requested a simple modification to his order while she was still taking orders, but her response came across as irritated and unprofessional. Throughout the meal, she never checked on our table to ask how the food was or whether we needed anything. Despite being informed of the birthdays in our group and being told by management that complimentary birthday desserts were available, these were never offered. The most disappointing interaction occurred when I requested a refill after my drink had been empty for quite some time. Rather than acknowledging the request or apologizing for the delay, she appeared visibly annoyed and rolled her eyes. When she returned with the refill, she handed it across another guest instead of bringing it directly to me and immediately walked away without saying a word. Additionally, the automatic gratuity was not disclosed until the end of the meal. While I understand restaurants may have gratuity policies, communicating them upfront helps avoid misunderstandings. Overall, while some of the food was enjoyable, the lack of customer service and professionalism left a lasting negative impression. Service plays a significant role in the dining experience, and unfortunately, this experience did not meet expectations. Based on this visit, our group is unlikely to return.
