The boba here was delicious! I got the mango cloud boba and it tastes so good!! Hopefully not just a summer drink and they keep in menu. The place was pretty busy so it took a while to get my order.
Busy boba shop with a variety of different teas/drinks. I visited on a weekend night and there were barely any tables available. There is a large menu on the wall far away from the counter, but it was hard to read without standing over other seated guests. There are smaller paper menus on the counter, but you'll feel pressured to order immediately with a line behind you. My party of three each ordered a drink and their mango bingsu to share. They use fresh mangos, but $18 feels expensive, especially because their sizing is smaller than nearby competitors. As for the drinks, their menu is creative, but I stuck with a trusty Thai tea with sea salt cream. You can definitely taste the strong tea flavor, which may be too bitter, but I prefer this over too sweet. If you add a topping ($0.75), each drink comes out to about $7.
Quite the variety of teas, and they even have some great quality hot brews instead of the generic cold milk teas, smoothies, and such. Perfect for any season, whether you need something to warm you up or cool you down, or fulfill that sweet tooth of yours. I recommend stopping by if you're in the area. And if you're cold, try the Garden Treat.
I got the Redstraw Milk Tea and it had a nice roasted flavor to it along with a soft boba texture. Despite the line being long, I got my drink fairly quickly after placing my order. There are a decent amount of tables and no loud music playing, which was nice to be able to hear my friends I was with.
Tried this bubble tea spot, which happened to be near the restaurant I had lunch, and I was not disappointed. I originally was looking for just bubble tea, but it was a happy coincidence that they also sell bingsoo. I ended up getting the grapefruit punch (50% sugar, less ice), and it was so refreshing. The quality of the tea was great and complimented the grapefruit very well. The strawberry bingsoo was good too, and although I thought the price for the portion was a bit pricey, the portion size was perfect to share with someone else. Both the tea and the bingsoo came out pretty quickly, and the overall vibe inside the shop is very casual but bright and clean. I probably wouldn't come back for the bingsoo, but I do really like the tea I had and would love to try some others if I'm ever in the area.
When I say I downed the peach bellini tea in under 15 minutes I'm not kidding! It was one of the freshest fruit teas I've ever had. It's described as a peach black tea with lychee and mango, and includes slice of lime which provided some tartness. So so refreshing! The honey boba texture was also perfectly chewy and not too soft. I came on a Friday afternoon, and there were plenty of open tables. Perfect environment to study or hang with friends. I'll definitely be back to try their other teas. They also have bingsu and taiyaki!
I've been here twice. The first time was genuinely awful. I think I had the honey oolong tea and it was soapy. My friends and I threw it out. The second time was much better. I had a strawberry milk and it was the right sweetness. I will be open to trying this place again.
I've tried a few different things from Red Straw: the mango bingsoo, milk tea, honey oolang milk tea and the strawberry matcha! My favorites are the strawberry matcha and the mango bingsoo. For the strawberry matcha latte I substitute the milk they use for the latte for regular milk to make the drink less sweet and it's perfect! The milk tea tastes a little watered down in my personal opinion but the flavor is very fresh and I believe they use all organic teas which is great! Overall I recommend this place!
When I'm in the mood for a refreshing fruit drink, Redstraw is definitely my go to. Toxic Garden is my all time favorite, but every other drink I have gotten and tried were still amazing. Very tea-based which I love! Had some friends come up from Houston and after eating Ilinja Gamjatang next door, they wanted boba. I had suggested Red Straw because it was right next door. Everyone enjoyed it and told I recommended a great choice.
A newer boba shop in the Carrollton area! They have a variety of options and I got the honey oolong tea with sea salt cream and the tea tasted good with sea salt cream on the top. I got it 50% sweet and I feel that was a good amount of sweetness. They were quite quick even with many people in the shop. It's a nice aesthetic inside too and a good amount of seating. I'd definitely come back if I was in the area.
This is probably one of my favorite boba tea shops! it's spacious inside , very clean, and great for hangouts and dates! Alltheir drinks are amazing but my favorite has to be the sea salt* jasmine green milk tea!
I've been twice now one time I really enjoyed my visit other time I might've gotten a drink. I just did not enjoy personally. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and it was good Boba. I think it's an Australian brand. Service is fast, even though it's busy and there's a decent amount seating pretty normal from what seating you would expect from a bubble tea place.
Most of the cafes in Carrollton get packed on the weekend Redstraw was no different - my friend and I stopped by to journal on a Sunday. It wasn't insanely busy yet, but it was active with people at most tables! I went up to get my drink and asked about if it could add lemonade to it, because they do offer some form of Arnold Palmer drink on the menu. However, they acted like I was a bit crazy for asking something like that and said they couldn't do it when I pointed at the menu to my friend at the line that said lemonade in the Arnold Palmer. It was fine, because I had another drink in mine to get and it ended up being really good the peach Bellini was really refreshing considering how hot it was outside. That's a start contrast to the actual interior, though, the restaurant was kind of warm, like they didn't have the AC up high enough, considering we're in Texas, so there really was no escape from the heat outside. Despite this, the staff was super nice to let us stay for the amount of time we wanted to journal it ended up maybe being about an hour to an hour and a half. They have ample seating to get this done, and overall it was an enjoyable time. read more
One of the better bubble tea places in Carrollton. It's locally owned so not supporting a big chain. There's a lot of parking spaces but can get packed on weekends. I got the jasmine green salted cream. I got 50 percent sugar and it still felt sweet. The jasmine flavor really signed. This location has about 10 tables but it gets packed during the weekends. The service is standard, order at counter and wait. read more

this place has unique teas & drinks. you can also make a custom tea. a lot of their drinks have a strong tea taste, which I really like. I have tried several drinks from the many times I have been here & all are pretty good. strawberry jasmine was sweet & refreshing. my favorite drink here. peach bellini was sweet & refreshing as well. thai tea was alright, not as sweet & creamy like other thai tea that I had. strawberry matcha latte was good, but I had better. peach mandarin was refreshing, but I only tasted the tea & really didn't taste like peach & mandarin. read more
Whenever I try a new boba shop, I like to order their Black Tea with Boba so I can use it as a baseline to compare different stores. Redstraw definitely landed on a higher end of my list! The boba was a good texture - a little chewy but not over cooked, and I could taste the Black Tea without it being overpowered by the sugar or milk! read more

My husband and I's go-to boba spot! My regular drink is the peach bellini - so refreshing with the mango and lychee in peach black tea! Their tea is very fragrant and brewed fresh, which is the big standout to me. The default sweetness for their drinks is 75%, which is usually perfect; I've tried a couple drinks at 50% sweetness and they can be on the bitter side. They can get a bit crowded on weekend evenings, but other than that it's a pretty chill place to for a quick catch up with friends, and I've also seen people study there. Additionally, we got their boba bar catering for our wedding, and they were amazing to work with. The drinks were a huge hit with everyone as well! Redstraw will always be our favorite boba spot in DFW. read more
I enjoyed going to Redstraw. There was not a lot of parking since it is surrounded by restaurants and the location is generally busy during dinner time on the weekends. I ordered the New Zealand Sunny Slopes Cold Tea and it was super refreshing. There were also a lot of places to sit and chat with your friends. read more

I absolutely love this place! There is seating available inside but when it's crowded the chairs can make it a little hard to get around. My go to drink has been the redstraw milk tea at 50% sweetness level. It's very well balanced and you can taste the tea where it's not overpowering or bitter. Now the star of the show is the tayaki, this fish shaped pastry that seems to be made with croissant dough and can be filled with custard, nutella, or redbean. It does take around 10 minutes, but when it comes out it's piping hot both inside and out. Once it cools down (YOU HAVE TO WAIT EVEN IF IT SMELLS LIKE HEAVEN) the buttery pastry and delightful filling are absolute heaven. I'm obsessed with the custard filling. Be warned though, the filling is VERY HOT. Overall this is a must stop every time I'm in the area. read more
Honestly, I've come here 3 times by now and the drinks are good but not the best the area has to offer. They have an extensive menu with many type of drinks offered, the cashier is always there to help and the baristas are pretty quick with the turn around. I like that the place has a lot of seating available, but I hate how loud it gets especially with the tables being so near one another. It's a good place to go in and out, not to stay especially if you're not good with loud places. read more
This is the best mango bingsoo in the area that I have gone too. I constantly go here after dinner and the workers are super kind and basically know me. I always get the mango bingsoo and have also tried the oreo bingsoo which is pretty good. The restaurant is has a nice ambiance, with clean chairs and a nice wall design. Lovely and definitely recommend their mango bingsoo! read more

The tea flavor here is strong which I love. The boba is also the perfect texture no matter what time of day I come. The line can get pretty long but service is always fast. There's also lots of seating which makes it a great place to go study and get some work done. read more

The drinks at Red Straw were fine--nothing mind-blowing, but they get the job done. That said, the overall experience was kind of a mixed bag. First off, the menu font is tiny, and it's posted way too far from the register. You basically have to squint across the room or awkwardly step out of line to see what you're ordering. Not a great setup. The feng shui felt off, like the space wasn't quite sure what it wanted to be. And not gonna lie--you can smell the bathroom from the boba pickup counter, which takes some of the joy out of waiting for your drink. Also, the fact that they have servers in what's usually a fast-casual setup just adds to the confusion. Are we dining in or grabbing and going? The place can't seem to decide. Lastly, it felt a little identity-confused seeing mostly Thai tea being served in what's clearly a Taiwanese-inspired boba shop. Not necessarily bad, just... unexpected. All that said, the boba itself was decent enough to merit a middle-of-the-road rating. But with a few layout and service changes, this place could easily bump itself up a star or two. read more
I'm from Houston and I hear lots of good reviews about this boba spot so while I was in town I went ahead and tried it out and I don't regret it! I ordered the Strawberry Jasmine Tea, Organic Honey Oolong Milk Tea, and Jasmine Green Milk Tea. I personally loved the Strawberry Jasmine Tea and Honey Oolong Milk Tea the most because they both had the perfect ratio for tea and sweetness. The Jasmine Green Milk Tea was a bit sweet for me but if I were to fix the sweetness level I think I'd love it! Overall a great boba spot. read more

If you prefer lighter teas and tea flavor then red straw is up your alley. They brew their tea here fresh to order and you can really tell the care they put into each drink. The staff is very friendly and patient given their large menu. I do wish that the font they chose to print the menu is was larger but they were patient with my parents who were browsing through the menu finding the perfect drink. I do appreciate that they partnered with Snowy Village and now offer bingsoo! Would recommend if you prefer a lighter tea forward boba tea. read more
This place gets BUSYYYYYY. Like super busy. Even with how busy it is.. food and drinks come out at a fair amount of time. It does get a bit loud in there though so if you're looking for a coffee shop to do your homework, I wouldn't go there on a weekend night. read more

Loved the ambiance and set up... it was surprisingly crowded when we visited. Both of our drinks were prepared fast and good. The best part of the visit was the bingsoo. I thought it was expensive for what it is - 15$ - compared to other shops that offer shaved iced desserts, but still very tasty. We will stop by again in the future! read more

What is this new boba tea shop everyone raving about? I will have to stop and give them a try... Walking into the shop it has a crisp, clean atmosphere and greeted by a friendly smile. There were so many choices to choose from and I couldn't make up my mind. The tea mixer had great knowledge of all the drinks questions I asked about drinks I was interested in knowing what ingredient it was in there and how it would taste. Decision.. decision.. decision! Oh well minus-well get all of my top 3 choices::: Dalgona Cold Brew Coffee, Strawberry Jasmine and Passion Fruit Jasmine. First drink I tasted was the coffee... oh my my my! I'm addicted... the Koran sugar made this drink an A++++! The right amount of coffee, milk and top it off with toasty Korean sugar candy! This was a MUST try Guys! Next my teas... love love love... the tea was freshly brewed just like the way I love it. All of my drinks was perfectly made and I would recommend RED STRAW to everyone!!! My new tea place read more

This has been my favorite boba shop to visit recently. I love how they brew their teas fresh and the drinks are never 'too sweet' for my taste. I always take friends here to try and they end up loving their drinks as well. The space can get quite crowded and busy on weekends and in the evenings. My go to drink is always the grasshopper which is cucumber + green tea because it's so light and refreshing! read more
