I finally got to tried Tea Top Matcha drinks! They had pop-up vendors inside today and that was pretty nice. They didn't have tiramisu so we got the Mango Sticky Rice Matcha & Banana Pudding Matcha. The mango sticky rice matcha was really good, I love the mango puree and the sticky rice component, they all pair so well! On the other hand, the banana pudding matcha was okay but tasted stale for some reason. I can't tell if it was the banana pudding that was stale or the milk/ice that tasted freezer burn. You don't really taste any matcha flavor in those drinks though. read more

It's a cute tea place. The day we visited, they had multiple vendors stalls and it seems a little crowded and there was a birthday celebration by a small group on the side as well, so we were not able to move at all. Tried pearl tea, was good, my husband tried brown sugar Jasmine tea and that was good too - it smells sweet like a jasmine and not too sweet. You can definitely pick your own sugar and ice level. Tried to order a matcha green tea drink but asked for them to just use the matcha powder with a milk base but the 2 ladies working told me they don't customize drinks at all so if you're wanting a modification this isn't the place for you. Glad we stopped by for some tea because they were running a Thanksgiving special after following their Instagram page - buy two get one free. We ended up ordering brown sugar milk tea, mung bean slush, and a regular milk tea (the free drink). The mung bean drink was different in a good way but I don't think I'll order it again. I did like how their menu offered a unique variety of tapioca, which makes it unique from other tea shops. The staff that checked us out was really nice, and he made a couple of recommendations since it was our first visit. On the side of the cash register, there were Vietnamese baked goods for sale, which all looked good and gives patrons the opportunity to support local bakers. Went here to try their boba tea and was not disappointed! Since we were having a hard time choosing from the variety of options, the server gave an option to get pearl milk tea which was filled with pearls and we loved it! It was fresh and just yum! Girl that prepared my drink licked her fingers after excess sweet cream cold foam from my drink got on her finger. She then proceeded to place lid on my drink without washing her hands. We ordered lychee slush with a rainbow popping boba (flavored passion mango) and taro milk tea The lychee slush was delicious and not too sweet (I got mine 50% sweetness) and the rainbow popping boba was fun. Loved everything about Tea Top. The drinks were delicious--good quality tea, perfect sweetness and a wide selection. I tried a few from the top 10 drinks. My favorite was the Earl Grey Milk Tea with boba, herbal jelly and coconut jelly. The toppings went well with the Earl grey. The inside was spacious and had plenty of seating. I was so excited when I heard Tea Top was coming to Dallas because it was one of my favorite places in Houston. The new location is like how I remembered it. I got the Alpine green milk tea at 70% and it was phenomenal. Finally here! My favorite boba chain as they really focus on the tea. My personal favorite is by far the alpine green milk tea, half sweet with pearls. Personally, I find it really hard to find a place with good green milk tea that isn't jasmine (since the floral notes mask the tea flavor), but the alpine green tea here is sublime. My other usual order is the sun moon lake, which is also a bit hard to find, but very good if you perfer black teas. The boba is perfectly chewy and has enough brown sugar soakage to give you something to munch on between sips. Parking in the plaza is a bit of a bear, so you might opt to park in the grocery store plaza and walk over instead. read more

I tried the jasmine green milk tea and sun moon lake milk tea. So far my favorite is the sun moon lake milk tea. The flavor reminds me of my days in Taiwan as a little kid going to a local boba shop.
