    Salt Bread

Hands down my favorite salt bread. I love that it's chewy and filled with butter. If you can get there when the tray is fresh the flavor bomb is out of this world. Favorites are: classic salt bread, truffle salt bread, and the shio pan bread. Sesame latte was a miss for me, not my fav, def a must stop if you are a bread and butter lover!

First time visiting and overall, had a great experience. We ordered a few different types of salt bread: original, truffle salt butter bread, Matcha Cream, and cookies and cream. We were also given a red bean one for free! The place was very clean and the person at the front was super nice! Felt like there was a language barrier but he tried his best Out of everything we got, I really enjoyed the Matcha Cream. The matcha flavor was strong, lots of cream yet the cream was light and the salt balanced well with the overall flavor. In addition, the bread was light and texture was okay. Cookies and Cream - Cream was very good and not too sweet. Couldnt really taste any of the salt but the bread texture was like the matcha cream bread. Original Salt Bread - Salt taste was very minimal but there was too much butter. The amount of butter was clear when you bite into the bread, the butter dripped from the inside and was all over our hands. OVerall, I wasnt a huge fan Truffle Salt Butter Bread - Reallllly enjoyed this flavor! If you like truffle, i highly recommend trying this. They are very generous as the truffle flavor was super strong yet the salt and butter was mild to help balance the umami from the truffle Red Bean - Red Bean was good! bread texture was light yet had a crunch to it.

We got the salt bread, a taiyaki, and the matcha cream salt bread. They all tasted pretty good. The salt bread has a nice crunch on the exterior and the salt/butter flavor hits you right away. It was really enjoyable to eat but there is a lot of melted butter inside. I felt like the butter coated my throat after eating it. The taiyaki was huge and had red bean in it which was nice. Made fresh so pretty hot. Our favorite was definitely the matcha cream salt bread because it had a nice balance of flavors. Matcha quality seemed pretty good and had a strong flavor. The cream tasted very fresh as well. I would definitely come back to try more though probably the flavored breads because the salt bread had me feeling butter overloaded for a while afterwards.

Salt bread is highly addictive! I can't imagine it being healthy for you but damn it's good! We really liked the truffle salt bread!

My friend took us here for salt bread. I have never heard of it, but was excited to try them. There was a kiosk to order. The menu was not very large. We shared the matcha and strawberry salt bread. The matcha did not taste like matcha flavor at all. The strawberry was much better. The salt bread was a little too salty. I'm not sure what the hype is but it's okay. Nothing too special about it. The tables and floors were really dirty. It didn't look like they cleaned the floors or tables throughout the day. The staff looked very unhappy and did not like their job. Bear the pick up area, there are napkins, plastic forks, and knives. It is quite pricey for 1 piece of bread so I would expect the quality to be better.

I'm surprised this bakery is rated so poorly! It's a small shop located in the H-Mart area, a bit past Pink Box and across from Sing Box Karaoke. We went on Black Friday around noon and the bakery was packed with customers enjoying their pastries. There's a kiosk where you can place your order. It looks like someone can physically take your order as well, but I'm not 100% sure since the place was pretty busy. We ordered 3 salt breads and 1 truffle salt bread and we got our order in less than 5 minutes. The breads were fresh and warm and we loved the buttery center! It tastes like the combination of a croissant and a dinner roll, but much richer and fluffier. The truffle had a nice subtle flavor. The bread itself is a bit oily, but what can you expect! Would certainly come back again to get my salt bread fix in! I live in New York, and I don't think there's any salt bread specialty bakery in Manhattan!

Overall the bread is super tasty and delicious but they should definitely quality control check. I noticed that all three breads that I received were hallow on the inside with no fluffy interior. It was good but I just expected more. The taiyaki was good though, perfect red bean ratio. Didn't get a chance to try the drinks. Kiosk ordering is always great, and didn't have to wait long. Would recommend trying!

We came when they JUST opened and only had one salt bread on the menu. Service was a little slow considering everything is made fresh. The salt bread had red bean filling and was toasted into fish form and served hot and crispy with a dab of luxurious butter. Overall quality is good but it did take a while. Cafe is cute and decorated in 2D. Overall not bad and looking forward to trying their new items.

I didn't have to wait as long as most people when I went to this bakery because I showed up right when they opened. I mean at 11AM I was inside. Although a line did form 5 mins after I entered. The salt bread was pretty good. Just right out of the oven when I went so very soft on the inside. They used A LOT of butter on these things because my fingers were glistening after holding it. These things would go well with a Vietnamese Coffee. I also ordered one of the premade "Basil Prosciutto" sandwiches and liked it too. While the food was good, they need to better optimize how the shop operates. There's only ONE kiosk where you can place your order. That won't work at all especially when a bunch of people are waiting. One of the staff members didn't seem like she wanted to take orders from the counter but directed people towards the ONE kiosk... From what I assume, the salt bread runs out very quickly so I hope they are ready with the next batch without making customers wait too long.

Oooh I loved this bread. I got a regular and a Truffle one and the flavor of the Truffle was incredible, even the morning after! The texture was also exceptional--crisp on the outside, so soft and fluffy inside. Big big fan

I stopped by Childish bakery this morning since I was around the area when they opened for the day. I figured that it was the perfect time to check this place out after seeing it all over social media. There was a short line forming 5 minutes before they opened but nothing crazy. The way you order at the bakery is through the kiosk and not the counter. It's good to note that after you scan your card you have to sign, I noticed several people accidentally walking away from the kiosk without signing and grabbing their receipt. I ordered the truffle salt bread, regular salt bread, and the pistachio taiyaki. The salt bread is delicious I really like the truffle one! The truffle flavor is prominent and the salt bread is soft and crispy on the outside. As for the taiyaki I think I had the wrong idea on what goes in it, I was thinking it would be filled with pistachio and not red bean. Good to note that all the taiyakis have red bean with them. I think the real star of their bakery is the salt bread so I will stick to that next time. One thing I wanted to point out that I noticed during my visit was that I noticed that the disposable cups and boxes were stored open and close to the ground. This made me feel a little nervous thinking about how close they were to where people walked and that put me off of trying the drinks there in the future. Overall I enjoyed their salt bread and think that it is worth a try if you are in the area!

A brand new spot in Carrollton! I feel like salt bread is all the craze right now, so it's very fitting that the most popular K-Town in the DFW area would also get a salt bread bakery. I came by on Thanksgiving, so they were already sold out of almost everything. I really wanted to try their salt bread with fruit cream, but they didn't have that available. I ordered their red bean taiyaki, one salt bread, and a strawberry matcha latte instead. The strawberry matcha latte was REALLY good. It had a great matcha color, and the syrup was made out of real strawberries. I actually am not the biggest fan of salt bread, but it tasted like how other salt bread I've tried tastes like. It was baked freshly, so it was very pillowy and soft. The taiyaki doesn't look great, but it was actually super good, and I loved the sea salt they put into the dough.

    Black sesame latte

I came with my family because apparently the pastries sell out often. I ordered the black sesame latte, mochi bun, Dubai chocolate pastry, and their plain salt bread and cream pastry. The sesame latte was the best thing because I did taste the sesame flavor that was nutty and blended well with the oat milk. I'm a bit disappointed though because the best tasting pastry was actually their plain bread that just had butter in it and the cream bread pastry. The Dubai chocolate was not very chocolatey in flavor and had hints of coconut which threw off the authentic "Dubai chocolate" flavor, the mochi bread one with brown powder was very plain and extremely dry-The powder on top was so excessive and dries out your mouth it almost made you cough or choke. I think being too creative to a fault is the case here and hope they nail the fundamental flavors more.

They even have a ton of children's highchairs if you want to bring your family. Now for the sweet treats, this place has the widest variety of cheesecakes I've seen in the area! The employees were friendly and fast! They boxed up my cakes before I was even done paying. If you like cheesecake, this is your place! I'll admit I'm not a huge cheesecake person so I opted for the strawberry tart and matcha tiramisu to share with my husband. I also got a citron cookie but I didn't love it. My husband really enjoyed it though! Every single piece is beautiful and fully loaded with tasty toppings. I will say the pieces are generous for the price at just under $10 a slice. They are BIG. The strawberry's and cream were delicious. Strawberries were super fresh and still crunchy. I really enjoyed the matcha tiramisu as it was really flavorful and not too sweet. Their cream is really good. Very light and creamy. I can't wait to return and try either the black sesame or melon tart.

The toppings on them were overfilling but very aesthetics at the same time. We spent about 15 minutes just walking back and forth because we were overwhelmed with all the options they had :) We got the Coconut Coffee Tart and the Earl Grey Cheesecake, both came out to about $9-10 per slice. The coconut coffee tart was okay, we couldn't really taste the coconut nor the coffee much, it was somewhat chocolate-y instead? On the other hand, the earl grey cheesecake was so so good. The earl grey flavor was subtle but the cheesecake was really dense and perfectly sweetened. I prefer the cheesecakes over their tarts, and I would probably try the tiramisu next time. The inside was so nice and has so many tables, definitely a good hangout or study spot. The service was okay, the lady at the front didn't seem that welcoming though.
