We came in on a whim and tried a chocolate hazelnut donut and it was delicious. The crème on the inside complimented the outside chocolate coating perfectly. Next time I'll order a 6 pack. read more

My husband & I were around the area & decided to go into a few shops to try grab & go type items. One of the stores we chose was Old Ferry. Right away with the presentation of the donuts we both weren't interested in many of the options. I got a hazelnut donut & he got a something else chocolate. We only ate half the donuts before throwing them away. The taste was okay. Not too sweet which was nice. The bread was dry & thick. The icing was similar to the waxy hostess donuts from the gas station. I love hazelnut but the filling was not very flavorful. The service was fine. She was kind & helped us quickly. The store seemed clean. We didn't have to wait in a line. We went around 2 or 3 so there wasn't really anyone in there. read more

Overall good doughnuts, they are fluffy, not too sweet which js much appreciated. Place is clean and well kept, not too crowded, fast service and friendly staff. One thing i would say $5+ for one doughnut is pretty steep for what it is. Yes it was delicious but not $5 delicious. Overall decent place, would not come out of my way to show it to someone to be honest. We had tiramisu doughnut it was filled woth white cream all throughout so i thought that's pretty cool. P.S. My ratings are based on whether I believe I could win make a better or healthier version at home. If food/drinks/service impress me, I'll be happy to come back. If not the stars reflect that. read more

I've been wanting to try this place since it opened! The store is adorable inside and I liked how many options they offered! Service was good, the girl at the counter quickly helped up get a couple options. Sadly the donuts weren't very good. I was very excited for the butter pistachio donut specifically but the one we received seemed slimey? We assumed they were made fresh since we went around 10 am but it seemed like it might've been old? I don't know if that's how it's meant to be, but I really didn't like that texture. The flavor was okay, I was expecting more pistachio. We also had the crème brûlée and that one was more bland than the pistachio. The caramelized sugar on top was only torched in a small area. Overall they were very average and a bit overhyped. read more

So far I've tried three donuts. The cookies and cream is pretty good and well worth it. I think the matcha is lacking and the cream doesn't have much taste. The earl grey is pretty strong and worth a try. This is a small place and not much seating. The service was quick Ranking: 1. Cookies and cream 2. Earl grey 3. Matcha read more

3/5 is considered okay on the yelp scale, and its very just okay. the actual donut does not compete with any mom and pop Korean donut shop around town, so this new import donut is set for failure with its taste. The texture is like old grocery store donut with no heart in the cream. Their swag was cute and the coffee beans from Cali. They did mess up our order but it was no biggie. read more

A new spit opens in Carrollton, its a fun experience! These are different style donut, light, not overly sweet. At 3 pm on Saturday they had about 6 different flavors to pick from. In the AM, they advised they have a much larger selection. You can order from a kiosk to the right or from a person in front, and service was fast even with a line. The staff we're efficient and kind. It appeared that one of the owners and maybe the general manager were out on the floor ensuring the milk was restocked and customers were happy. In terms of specialty, donut shops, i would go to voodoo donuts over here for my taste. read more

Honestly not bad at all. I didn't see any advertisement around these donuts, and looking at the already submitted reviews, this place seemed to have been hyped up, but let reviewers down. I wouldn't say they were the best donuts that I've had, but the ones I got were pretty dang great. I highly recommend the Butter Pistachio and PB&J. The Choco Crumbl was alright, and the Cream Cheese was pretty much a non sugar coated Maladada with a slightly sweet cream cheese filling. If in the area, I'd probably go back for a butter pistachio again, but just the one, since these donuts range from $3.80 to about $6 Worth a visit if in the area. read more

Probably not coming back... It's not bad, but not great either. Since the donuts have cream inside, they chill the donuts (I think) which makes the dough/bread kinda harder/dryer than normal donuts. Very little filling compared to the pictures they advertise and the taste is kinda average. Abour $20 for 4 donuts, plus tips. Jarams Donut and Paris Baguette definitely have way much better donuts. read more

Cute shop. Very nice location. The plaza is all new and filling up fast. Service was fine but she didn't really say much about the donuts, not sure if she assumed we've had it before but we did ask her what the best sellers were, so maybe she didn't take the cue? Idk. But are the donuts supposed to be enjoyed the way it was or did it need to be heated up...? The donut was cold and almost soggy. I got their pistachio and the Earl grey cake donut. The topping on the pistachio was definitely soggy when I tried it and I really didn't get much of the pistachio filling. The earl grey glaze actually had a really nice flavor but the actual cake part was too dense for me. Over all, I was not too impressed and don't think we'll be going back. read more

They didnt have a lot of flavors compared to other donut places. I got the sesame and it's has a cream filling inside that reminds me of green onion spread, similar to a bagel flavoring. I also got their coconut donut which really tasted like coconut with the cream inside. The coffee one which is my favorite has espresso filling. The donuts were not too sweet and taste exactly as it's described! read more

The onion sesame was a savory donut which i really enjoyed. The popular pistachio donut had a creamy filling and tasted good. The earl grey was a bit dry and too dense. I wish the coffee donut had more flavor. I really liked their handmade banana milk though. Overall its a decent donut place and my first time trying Korean style donuts! The workers here were so kind and place is clean. They have cute merch! read more

Such a cute donut shop! Every donut is unique and completely different from American-style donuts. With K-pop playing in the background, it honestly felt like I was walking into a little café in Seoul. Loved the whole vibe read more

If you're craving a donut, idk if you'd enjoy it that much, but it's not what I was expecting. It's more of like a sweet bread pastry if that makes sense; not like a soft krispy kreme donut but more firm. It was still nice and I enjoyed it. Got the oreo donut and the toppings were nice and sweet. The place was practically empty so got our donuts pretty quick. Would recommend if you're in the carrolton area! read more

came to try the tiktok viral donut on its second day of opening. i got the tiramisu donut n it was good but id def say it's overhyped. we waited for like an hour for them to restock but tbh it wasn't that worth the wait. it's a pretty normal donut, lil cold, kinda pricy for $5-$6, but taste was good. not soft like everyone says it is but still good. i'd prolly be back to try a diff flavor but when time has passed after grand opening cuz its not rly worth the wait. nice to try once or twice tho. read more

I've seen the hype on these donuts all over social media so after hearing there was a location in Dallas I was excited to try it! We went around 3:30 pm and they were sold out of everything. They told they'd have more at 5 so we waited for them to reopen. When we got there again, they only had a smaller selection of flavors none of which were the more popular flavors we wanted to try but we still got some to try. I got the tiramisu and almond salted caramel. I also tried the PB&J and Cookies and cream. Each donut is around 5 dollars. They do come colder which was questionable but all flavors were pretty balanced. Overall I think the tiramisu was the best out of all of them, the cocoa powder on top is a bit off putting since it's so dry though. After hearing all the hype around how soft they were supposed to me, the donut itself just felt like a regular donut. Would be back to try some other flavors later maybe, but definitely not worth the hype nor the wait. read more

DO-NUT waste your money here. So nasty. Donut is hard, cold, and sooo dry. Honestly tasted like 3 day old donuts. For a new establishment, you'd think they'd hire enthusiastic/happy employees...NOT THE CASE. They weren't rude, just dull... no smiles, and boring. Also on their phones the entire time... not a good look for a new place. read more

I recently visited Old Ferry Donuts and was disappointed with my experience. After placing my order, I discovered that the donuts were ice cold--like they had just come out of a refrigerator. I've had these donuts before in California, and they have never been served cold, so this was surprising. When I brought them back, the lady at the counter told me that "nobody has complained about it," and her attitude made the situation even more frustrating. She even told me to get back in line just to request a refund. As someone who has worked in food service for almost 10 years, I can say confidently that you never respond to a customer like that. Maybe other people don't mind cold donuts, but I prefer a traditional, room-temperature donut--not something that tastes like it's been sitting in a refrigerator for two days. To be fair, the male manager was very polite and handled the situation well. But the woman's attitude alone is enough for me not to return. If that's the face of their business, I don't want to deal with it. read more

I was excited to try to place when I saw it on social media. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They recommended me some flavors and I ended up getting the butter pistachio, crème brulee, tiramisu, and coffee. I was excited for the coffee flavors since I was a coffee lover but they were ok. My favorite was the butter pistachio, it wasn't too sweet and had a good pistachio flavor. Overall, the doughnuts were a little too dry and they didn't seem very fresh. It was not bad but not worth the hype. read more

The pistachio donut was delicious! I've never had anything like it. It wasn't typical donut overly sweet, but it was sweet enough. We drove 45 minutes to try it and it was worth the trip! read more

I couldn't decide what to get but the staff was super patient and helpful. I ended up getting a variety (milk cream, butter pistachio, earl grey, white chocolate sesame, PB, and PB&J). Love that it isnt too sweet! Cream is light and perfectly whipped! I suggest try all flavors you find interesting and venture out bc I had no clue that I would enjoy white chocolate sesame. Will definitely be back to try more! (came when it went from 70 to 55 degrees in a span of an hour and grabbed my daughter merch/sweatshirt ). read more
