The Loaded was good too but I'm not a big seafood fan. There's so many options though and these are big enough that if you have someone with you, you can easily split. Try a few, go crispy on one and not the other. Add some mayo and the goooey sauce and you won't be dissapointed! Get there early. Been a while since I've been back here. Service is still excellent - friendly, courteous, responsive, proactive. Love that they work as a team. Ambiance is casual and cute. Took a friend here that never had this type of food before - we shared the fried oysters which are always on point and the Corn/Cheese and Shrimp/Broccoli okonomiyaki as she was less adventurous on the ingredients. Came here as a group of 5 a few Sundays ago and the place was popping! Luckily a friend put us on the waitlist on the way there so we didn't have to wait too long. I was not actually that hungry at 5pm so I only ate 1/4 of the loaded kaisen okonomiyaki. In that sense, the value's not bad. Crispy noodles were fine, everything just felt super bland, so the okonomiyaki sauce & kewpie mayo on the table really hard carried what I was able to eat. The seafood was well cooked though, not overly chewy. Kimchi fries were fine, nothing particularly special about them but not bad. Good to experience this spot once, but if i'm already in the area I'm probably going to a different restaurant already, so unless friends really wanted to eat here I will likely not return. read more

This was one of the more unique restaurants I have eaten at in a long time. It's not often I find a place where the food is completely new to me. The place was clean and packed we had to wait about 20 min for the table but were able to walk around the shopping center until they texted us the table was ready. I don't understand the excitement and return visits for what is one of the worst recipes I've ever had. The tan tan ramen was creamy and comforting but could have used more depth, spice, and seasoning. Everything tasted fresh, just not as bold as we were hoping. Having sauces and seasonings on the table like soy sauce, chili oil, spicy sauces, salt, and pepper would make a big difference so guests can adjust flavors themselves. They were very busy, so it took a little while to be greeted and get water, which is understandable on a Saturday night rush. The menu has photos for every dish and clear descriptions, so between that and the waiter, ordering was pretty stress-free. We ordered the beef tongue, plus a B&C with chicken and a cream corn mayo okonomiyaki, both over soft noodles. The beef tongue came out fast and was lukewarm -- not sure if that was intentional, maybe it's meant to be more of a cold dish -- but it was still really good with the lemon and green onions. We'd already waited an hour for the table. A couple nearby, seated at a 4-top but only using 2 seats, offered us their two empty chairs. It seemed like a simple fix -- no need to move furniture or bother staff, just permission to sit in seats that were already open and offered to us. The host/manager said no, citing a "safety risk" and the need to keep seats open for future customers. We were already there and paying, but that didn't seem to matter to him. What really soured the experience was his attitude. There was no attempt to find a solution, no offer to check with anyone else, no alternative suggested -- just a flat no and a tone that made it feel like our oversized party was the problem, not his lack of effort. I've had Okonomiyaki in Hiroshima and I can say Chinchikurin comes close... I would say 7/10. The quality of the ingredients aren't as good as in Japan. Things like the squid and shrimp are kinda bland. The noodles aren't as good either. But then again, I'm comparing Japan to a store in Carrollton You do get a lot of food.
