Came here with my friend for lunch after another friend recommended this place and praised how authentic it was. First off, I think you really get your money's worth here! We ordered the minced pork noodles and dumplings to share, and it was more than enough food for the two of us. The best part was that everything came out to only $20, which is such a rare find nowadays. Everything is self-serve, but the restaurant was very clean and organized. Overall, we had a really good experience, and I'll definitely be coming back. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic, delicious food at a great value!

A very reasonable price of $9.95. Taste good. Friendly staff. Relaxing atmosphere.

Noodles were really good and perfect spice level. Food came out quick too. The portion is great for the price.

We were looking for a good noodle shop and found this one in the area. Though it was a Saturday night, it wasn't too busy and service was quick. You self order at a kiosk and seat wherever and wait for your order. I got the minced pork noodle with medium spicy while my sister got beef with mild spicy. The spicy level was perfect - hot but not unbearable. The restaurant looked new and spacious with plenty of seating. Staff was very friendly and helpful. A great place to get spicy noodles

I was not expecting to like this place as much as I did but I do find myself craving it when I'm coming to this side of town and want a quick meal. Ordering is super easy, they have two kiosk near the door or you can order at the cash register up front. Food is cooked fresh to order and the prices are extremely reasonable. Go to orders are the dry noodles, steam dumplings, and the cucumber salad! I love that you can adjust the noodle spiciness and add as much of the numbing oil as you want. Cucumber was seasoned to perfection and a must if you love garlic, it was very refreshing. If you want a no frills good deal meal stop by Show Mian!

We visited again today after eating here previously months ago. They have made some adjustments since (not add-on style anymore) and the broth was not as strong of a spice flavor, which I think were both excellent changes that made the food more palatable to the general public and affordable for a no frills dinner. The price now $9-$11 for a sizable bowl that you can customize (1) broth or no broth (2) egg or rice noodle (3) add-ons. We both got the base bowl and it was plenty of food, maybe could add on more meat next time. The space is very clean and spacious and comfortable for a casual dinner with extremely fast service, our food was probably ready in ~5 minutes. I got the minced pork noodle with soup and it was a flavorful soup without the very strong anise and spice flavors like before and you could add on the spice oil at each table if you like. We also got the beef noodle without soup and it was also a balanced flavor profile with nice chewy noodles.

I have been driving by this place for a while and finally got a chance to dine in for lunch on a weekday! First, I love the open space and we had our pick of any table! It was very bright and clean. We ordered at the kiosk and then took our seats. Our dishes came out in no time. I basically had time to get plastic cups and fill them with water (at the spout) and bring them back to the table. We got the beef noodle soup, dumplings (pork), and cucumber salad. I wasn't really hungry when we arrive but ended up finishing my order! It's a hearty order too. I have never seen dumplings come out on a large flat cardboard tray. The cucumber salad is a little different here. There some red pepper too. It was a nice touch. We're definitely going to come back to try some of the other noodle dishes.

Love the cucumber salad and the dry rice beef noodle, Automated order à la McDobald. Clean place and quick service.

The atmosphere was amazing but the food was even better. I ordered the chongqi pork noodles. The portion size was huge and the pork just melted off the bone from how soft it was. The fried chicken was also super tasty. Will definitely come back. The service was quick and friendly.

I ordered the dry noodle with noodles, beef, mild spice, bok choy and a marinated egg. The noodles were cooked perfectly. The beef was so tender and yummy. The mild spice level was perfect for me since I prefer only slight mouth numbing, but they definitely have that spice level if that's your cup of tea. The marinated egg was okay; it is a hard boiled and could've been more flavorful. I do wish there were less cilantro stems, or cut into smaller lengths as there were a couple bites where I had to chew a long cilantro stem. The popcorn chicken was good; crispy but not dry. However, I do think the menu is limited and see some opportunity to add to it. For example, more noodle varieties (i.e wide noodles), lotus root vegetable topping, a variety of Chinese pickles, etc. Overall, I would come here again. The service is fast and I was very full after my meal.

If you like authentic Chinese spicy cuisine, this is the place for you. Fair warning - the spice level and flavors might not be for everyone. The restaurant is clean, the staff are friendly, service is fast, and portions are generous. They also have a great deal after 4pm. I got the beef noodle soup and was pleasantly surprised by how tender the beef was. Definitely coming back!

I find myself craving food from this place every month. If you like Chinese noodles and numbing spice this is a perfect spot to stop by, affordable prices for a good portion (or two!) of noodles. Servers are quick and very friendly and willing to help with specific questions and needs and the restaurant itself is very spacious but doesn't lack comfort.

As we were waiting, we noticed that 4-5 tables were done eating and paid their bills. All got up and left, the staff quickly cleaned the tables. The cleaned tables were empty for another 15 minutes. The lady that took our names down took a while to call the next customers. Seems like we were waiting just to wait...she sat one party down and waited another 10 minute to sit the next group... anyways, after we waited for a good 40 minutes, we were finally called to be seated. Sat down and was immediately served with water and took our order down. Time for the food review: Chicken popcorn - nice crisp and texture, but lacking flavor. Felt like it needed a dipping sauce. Pork lard rice - disappointing, bland Pork intestine with green mustard - this dish was okay.. Crispy garlic salted fish - fish was nicely fried and flavor was good. Probably the best dish so far Crispy pork chop - this is the reason why we came here.. we wanted to find a dish like May Ice cream. Unfortunately, this was a huge disappointment. The pork chop was extremely salted. From the skin to the pork itself. Walnut shrimp - this dish was foul. Who puts sprinkles on the side?! Tasted like I was eating an ice cream shop. The shrimp was also dry. Overall, not worth going and waiting. Food was lacking.

Came during the soft opening in September 2025 with excited expectations based on what we've heard, hoping to find a new go to Taiwanese spot. Unfortunately we didn't find what we were looking for. I admit this was the soft opening and things may improve, and for their sake I hope they do. Biggest issues for us were lack of flavor in the meat and multiple proteins being overcooked. The sauces they used had the flavor but it seems like the meat just wasn't given the time to marinate because the meat itself was bland. That coupled with proteins being a bit dry from being overcooked and you don't have a good combo. If they can tweak their prep process to let the meat marinate then it would solve most of the problems though. The best dish was the fried pork chop rice by far. A bit on the sweeter side so it just depends on how you like it. The bok choy it came with was basically raw though had more crunch than the pork chop. Service was also a mixed bag. The server was super nice and helped give us recs but it just seemed like they were still getting the hang of working in a restaurant. A glass of water got some food in it so the server took it away but they never brought us a new one. Again, soft opening so I give that some grace, but food has to be more on point for a new restaurant to make it. So all in all, there are definitely some kinks to work through for them. Normally I wouldn't write a review for soft opening but given that there are old reviews here plus food quality missed the mark more than I think it should've, I think people on Yelp should get a heads up.

But the reviews were suspiciously glowing, so curiosity (and hunger) won. We pulled up and I took one look at the building: older, unremarkable, zero curb appeal. Classic "meh." They first sat us in a booth but I requested later on to be moved to a large round table since we ordered A LOT. But back to when we first sat in the booth - As a Chinese woman, the second I spotted the older seats with ripped upholstery, it hit me like a culinary prophecy: this place was going to serve me some incredible, authentic Chinese food. I don't know what it is, but there's an inverse law of Chinese restaurants: the less fancy the exterior (and the more the booth looks like it's survived several natural disasters), the better the food. Apparently they skip Instagram-worthy renovations and put the budget where it belongs--on the plate! This is now hands down in my top 3 favorite Chinese restaurant in North Dallas - I can even say it's on the very top. I haven't forgotten about the staff. They deserve 10 stars. Super nice!
