For ~$23 (after tax), I was able to get an order of a hearty Braised Beef Soup (with Mifen Noodles), a flaky Scallion Pancake, and a juicy 5-piece Wonton in Chili Oil. Needless to say everything I had was pleasantly flavorful and well cooked. Service: Didn't catch his name, but after I ordered, a guy walked up to me and offered me some water and a bib, after apologizing for not greeting me as soon as I walked in. Been here a few times, I always get the build your own braised beef mifan with spicy soup and you get more toppings doing it this way. I usually don't tolerate spice but I can here. The beef this time around was softer than before. Really varies when you come but overall hits the spot as homey and conforming. The service was good and they always kept our drinks full. You order at the counter, grab any open table, and the staff brings your food out once it's ready. We started with the beef in spicy chili oil and the fried shrimp. I cannot say enough about the kind and humble service and excellent cuisine at Yo!Bowl. Richard took our order and he was delightful and gave us all of the information and recommendations. We chose a beef stir fried flat noodle (like a drunken noodle) and the make your own bowl option with the beef and mifen noodle soup, all of the free extra pickly things to add to the top, a teriyaki egg and a delightful cucumber salad with homemade wok fried peanuts. We decided to try the Winter Melon tea that was very refreshing and sweet. We thought everything had magnificent flavors and freshness. The beef was so tender and full of flavor. That broth though. I came by on a Sunday around 6:30 pm and it was pretty quiet -- just two other parties dining in -- though they were pumping out a steady stream of takeout (which is usually how I order too). I decided to dine in since I were nearby. There's retail garage parking in the back. The restaurant has doors in both the front and rear, depending on how you walked up. The interior is pretty spacious with plenty of seating inside and is very orange. The room is a little echo-y, so I can see it getting loud when it's busy. Service was solid, despite there being only one person handling the cashier and the floor. Ordering was done on a digital kiosk. The one waitstaff brought water, napkins, an extra bowl to share, and gave us a heads up that the food was coming. The food came out in about 15 minutes. I ordered the Signature Beef Dry Mifen, and it was pretty good -- nice spice level and flavorful sauce. I've been a fan since their Mifen Prince days in Plano. It was empty when we got there on a Friday night, but it made for quick service. Menu is relatively small and simple, so we went with the spicy beef mifen noodle soup. Overall, I was impressed with the amount of beef they gave especially - tender enough, but not fall apart and the rice noodles were slurp worthy for sure. Just enough bok choy to feel somewhat healthy. The broth is very earthy, which I actually don't like relative to other beef noodle soups, but its not too oily either. Maybe getting the regular beef noodle soup would let me appreciate the broth more and add my own chili oil. read more

We also had the katsu chicken curry. The chicken was crispy, juicy, and full of flavor honestly some of the best katsu I've had in a long time. Katsu seems like it should be hard to mess up, but I've had some pretty disappointing versions before, so this was a pleasant surprise. The service was friendly and helpful . My only small suggestion would be to add carrots and potatoes to the curry, as I think they would make it even better. Get some warm noodle soup and it's the perfect combo! Braised Beef Mifen is their star dish. Get it with all the free toppings. The pickled ones make it. It comes spicy, but super mildly spicy. I'm painfully caucasian when it comes to heat, and this spice level didn't hurt me at all. Not a ton of beef - but this ain't' BBQ. Enjoyed the depth of flavor in broth. Chili Oil Wontons were great. Smaller portion but the wontons had a good, fresh chew to them. You gotta love that. So often wontons are cheap and pre-made. Not these. Beef rolls were killer. The pancake was almost sweet. So this place is located off George Bush and Old Denton. It's at the bottom of an apartment complex. When you turn into the parking garage from Old Denton, make a right, park on the row near the apartment courtyard and you will see the storefront. Now about the food. I ended up there because I wanted ramen. I went with the recommendation instead and got the braised beef bowl with rice noodles. Those noodles were larger. I should have went with ramen. Next time. I got it to go. There was very little wait because it had just opened. That worked out because I hear it can get pretty busy at times. I enjoyed it when I got home. They give you plenty. We recently moved to the area and I wanted to check this place out after seeing in on social media. Everything we tried was good but the standouts were the signature dry beef mifen. The noodles are chewy, soft and bouncy. The sauce was slightly too salty but overall it was really flavorful. I added a fried egg and it definitely took it to the next level. You can also build your own bowl. The dumplings were so good! They were super juicy and tasted amazing. The scallion pancake was also very flaky and crispy. Sliced beef soup and braised beef soup with their cucumber salad, wonton in chili oil & katsu chicken. Everything got the spot perfectly. Soups were so flavorful with great umami flavor, the cucumber salad was very refreshing; garlicky with the perfect crunch. The meat is tender and juicy. The combination of fresh herbs and the savory richness of the beef just delights you. Although I'm not a big rice noodle fan, the noodles are fantastic. After picking up my food, I decided to eat there since it looked like a casual fast-food style restaurant plus it is super late and i am super hung! I sat down and started eating when the owner came over and told me I wasn't supposed to dine in because my order was takeout. Fine, no problem -- I was even planning to leave a tip for cleanup. Ordered marinated golden soy sauce chicken today. Delicious! The chicken is incredibly flavorful and tender. The owner mentioned that they use chickens with no hormone injections. We ordered the fried duck twice. The first time, it was absolutely amazing. Unfortunately, the second time, the duck was quite dry and had a slightly overpowering smell. Wow- I'm speechless! 10/10- no 50/10! The service was superb! My husband and I were greeted so friendly by the front house staff- she explained the menu to us and let us try some samples which is SO SO helpful I wish other places did this with drinks! I ended up getting the wintermelon drink- it's actually sweeter than hibiscus tea. I loved the yogurt too surprisingly even though it wasn't as sweet as I usually like- it's not sour and so easy to drink. For the food I got a dry beef noodle soup with a side of soup. Wow the flavor just explodes in your mouth- garlicky, a lil spicy, and so so rich! I get the hype for sure! The wontons were amazing too! We saw the chef prepping them at the table behind us so you know it's freshhhh fresh. All in all this was one of the best restaurant experiences I've ever had. There was one person who was taking orders but i think it looked like she was also responsible for water refills and I'm not sure if they had staff designed to wipe down used tables between guests because the table next to us wasn't bussed for at least 20 minutes and still wasn't bussed when we left and the place was busy. Most concerning of all was my husband went to the bathroom and said the sink was draining incredibly slowly. that is not the impression you want to give your guests in the food service industry. There was a bit of confusion on exactly how/where to enter the parking garage since the restaurant has entrances on two sides. The restaurant is located in a condo development. We will know not make a wrong turn on our next visit. Five-star Dining experience thanks to Shing (the owner) and Lin(cashier) serving legit Ramen and Mifen in an industrial and modern space with ample natural light. Food quality, presentation, flavor, taste, reasonably-priced portions, service, and ambiance - what more could you ask for? We ordered three items: 1.) Cucumber Salad 2.) Spicy Chicken Dry Mifen w/Fried Egg 3.) Ramen Soup with Fried Chicken For three items, our total was just $40.31 (with tax). And yes, I would definitely return. The Cucumber Salad had a noticeable depth of flavor lent by the vinegar, green onion, and chopped garlic and set the perfect tone for the rest of our meal. The Spicy Chicken was perfectly marinated, flavorful, succulent, and tender without all the salt that some places use. The chewy texture of the Mifen soaked up all the deliciousness and spices and was truly enjoyable to eat. The Fried Egg made it that much more special and took the dish to another level. When a craving hits, this appears to be the place to go! Mom said she enjoyed her Ramen Soup with Fried Chicken. The contrast of the beef bone broth worked well with the Ramen. The crunchy exterior of the chicken was impressive and flavorful while the inside maintained a soft texture and mouthfeel. Yo! Bowl truly exceeded our expectations and will more than likely be added to our list of restaurant rotations. Everything is made from scratch daily in-house with high quality ingredients and a commitment to customer service. Shing interacted with us throughout our meal to ensure we had everything we needed and we will definitely return to try other Menu items. After our meal, Shing offered us samples of Hibiscus Tea and Yogurt(not pictured). Mom and I both tried the Hibiscus Tea and it was truly delicious and refreshing on a blazing 104°F Texan August Summer Day. Will have to come back to try the Yogurt. When we sat in our car to leave, it wouldn't turn over. Panic set in (of course it had to happen on the hottest day of the year and three days before we travel out of the country), and not knowing what else to do, we went back inside the restaurant where Shing was kind enough to give us a boost so we could go straight to our dealership for servicing.
