My wifey is Taiwanese. She got me hooked on stinky tofu & mopu-tofu amongst other items. Also taught me to make sure (in apparently chain style Americanized Chinese food places) to order without sugar added. Not a fan of pork either, but the front desk gentlemen accommodated my requests 1000%!! Excellent HUUUUUUUGE portions. The chili peppers in chili oil are behind the counter. - You have to ask for them. Superb. I only ate 1/2 of each order & I'm completely full. Very economical for the price too!!. You won't be disappointed unless you're mainland, Chinese or Taiwanese & not used to Americanized Chinese cuisine. Don't forget the McDonald's ice cream afterwards to fight off all the MSG!.

Definitely one of the better Chinese restaurants in Carrollton. The food is very tasty and the portions are generous. With a lot of veggies in this, it definitely hit my happy spot. The interior of the place is very modern, comfortable, and clean. The only downside is that the menu is a bit limited. Don't let that stop you. Pick something and try it ... The chop suey is really tasty.

Everyone needs their go to chinese spot and this one hits!! The food is great, the portions are just right and bigger, and prices reasonable. When we think about "trying another spot" we always end up getting Grand wok!

Grand Wok is a solid neighborhood American-Chinese food. The interior is actually quite nice and modern. The food is great overall with lots of flavor. Pricing is very affordable. The service is what stood out to me, the cashier was kind enough to text me a photo of the receipt after I forgot to ask for one for company reimbursement. On to the food, we ordered variety of dishes to try. The portion sizes are great here. I liked that none of the dishes tasted overly sweet which can be of case with some Chinese-American food. I was pleasantly surprised by how good their sweet and sour soup and combination lo mein was. I would advise against ordering fries as it was soggy. I liked that they included various sauces in to go containers such as chili oil, sriracha, dipping sauces for spring roll without prompting. I was excited that they had mapo tofu, which is not common to be included in Americanized Chinese food. However, it was tad sweet for my liking. I did notice some of the dishes were more veggie heavy than protein and orange chicken was very heavy on breading. But overall this is a great place get your Chinese food fix at such a great value. Recommend: Mongolian beef, hunan chicken, sweet and sour soup, combination lo mein, spring rolls, cheese Rangoon Not recommend: Orange chicken, fries, mapo tofu, shrimp and broccoli

The establishment was impeccably clean and well-maintained. Customer service was exceptional and the staff were very friendly. My General Tso's chicken was served hot and fresh, exhibiting both excellent presentation and flavor. My only critique is that the sauce was excessively sweet for my palate. However, I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment.

Got the spicy veggie fried rice tonight and it was so good... tastes so fresh and you can taste all the flavors of the different veggies &flavors of the spice! As far as this dish goes it's a 10/10 and I cant wait to try some other dishes!

    My leftovers of Sesame Chicken

I have had several things here and most of it is great. Now for the good. The sesame chicken is crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. Might be the best I have had. The beef broccoli is tender and really good. The Mongolian beef is really good. We don't usually eat egg rolls and get them every time. I highly suggest hot and sour soup. Now to the bad. The Rangoon was not good at all. I won't order it here again. And tonight my fried rice has a burnt metal flavor. The rice is usually good so I am assuming its a fluke. I would definitely recommend this business to anyone.

Seems like we were waiting just to wait...she sat one party down and waited another 10 minute to sit the next group... anyways, after we waited for a good 40 minutes, we were finally called to be seated. Sat down and was immediately served with water and took our order down. Time for the food review: Chicken popcorn - nice crisp and texture, but lacking flavor. Felt like it needed a dipping sauce. Pork lard rice - disappointing, bland Pork intestine with green mustard - this dish was okay.. Crispy garlic salted fish - fish was nicely fried and flavor was good. Probably the best dish so far Crispy pork chop - this is the reason why we came here.. we wanted to find a dish like May Ice cream. Unfortunately, this was a huge disappointment. The pork chop was extremely salted. From the skin to the pork itself. Walnut shrimp - this dish was foul. Who puts sprinkles on the side?! Tasted like I was eating an ice cream shop. The shrimp was also dry. Overall, not worth going and waiting. Food was lacking.

But the reviews were suspiciously glowing, so curiosity (and hunger) won. We pulled up and I took one look at the building: older, unremarkable, zero curb appeal. Classic "meh." Inside, several large round tables with lazy Susans, red tablecloths, and Chinese lanterns. They first sat us in a booth but I requested later on to be moved to a large round table since we ordered A LOT. But back to when we first sat in the booth - As a Chinese woman, the second I spotted the older seats with ripped upholstery, it hit me like a culinary prophecy: this place was going to serve me some incredible, authentic Chinese food. I don't know what it is, but there's an inverse law of Chinese restaurants: the less fancy the exterior (and the more the booth looks like it's survived several natural disasters), the better the food. Apparently they skip Instagram-worthy renovations and put the budget where it belongs--on the plate! This is now hands down in my top 3 favorite Chinese restaurant in North Dallas - I can even say it's on the very top. I haven't forgotten about the staff. They deserve 10 stars. Super nice!
