We have been regular customers for years and always enjoyed this restaurant; however, last night, the owner and his wife chose to lose us as customers. When picking up our $28 take-out order, I showed the cashier the 10% coupon from the Ad Pages Go Mobile app. The coupon clearly states "Ad Pages Go Mobile App accepted". The cashier said this was not the case and a paper coupon was required. The owner and his wife were sitting at a nearby booth. When I continued to plead my case to the cashier, she asked the owner who also refused to accept the Ad Pages App coupon. Again, I pleaded my case based on what is written on the coupon and the owner was adamant about not accepting it. This is over 10% of a $28 tab ($2.80)! The arrogance, shadiness, and disgusting customer service displayed by the owner leads me to not return. read more

Popped in before heading to Costco... So glad I did! One of the best Green Curries I've had since my favorite Thai place got eaten by the pandemic. I dislike eggplant very much & usually pick it out, but I ate it ALL because it wasn't cooked to mush. In fact, all the veggies were perfectly cooked. I got tofu, it was good, but I didn't realize it'd be fried tofu... my tummy typically can't handle fried stuff, so I'll get a different protein next time. Their drunken noodles are phenomenal. I normally don't eat tofu but theirs is so good and absorbs so much of the flavor of the dish.

I came here because I was really craving a spicy Thai style papaya salad and I got it here with shrimp and very spicy. And wow- usually the highest spicy level is disappointing but theirs was delicious and really hit the spot. They use large shrimps and it was so good. This is my go to spot for Thai food in Carrollton. The food is made when you order so it comes to your table hot and fresh! For appetizers, I usually order the Thai Herbal Chicken which are shreds of chicken and basil leaves fried to crispy perfection and served with a sweet and spicy dipping sauce. Or when it's cold out, I would order the Tom Kha Seafood. The broth is the perfect balance of sweet, salty, sour and creamy while the seafood provides the perfect texture and chew. For the main course, I usually order a noodle dish like Pad Thai or Pad Kee Mao with extra vegetables. Also, I would get the Green or Panang curry. I usually skip dessert because by this point I am stuffed! But I hear the mango with sticky rice is pretty good (when it's in season). Pro Tip: Make sure to ask for the chili tray so you can add extra spice if you want. It comes with four small containers with pickled jalapeños, chili oil, dried ground chilis and sambal. That staff is extremely friendly and will even crack jokes with you. You can also B.Y.O.B. and they don't charge a cork fee if you bring in wine. They also offer delivery through most of the major food delivery services, but I really recommend dining in if you're comfortable with venturing outside of your home. Don't get me wrong, they pack the food well, but the taste and overall experience of the food is better in the restaurant. So grab a wine bottle and a few of your friends and go to Chilli Thai for good food and a great time! read more

They were hot when we picked it up, even in this bitter cold weather, they made sure that the food was freshly cooked and served hot! We appreciate all those restaurants who were there to serve food in these difficult times! I absolutely LOVE their coconut curry. Best I've ever had! The only reason I'm giving it 4/5 stars is that the food takes a very long time to prepare, especially if you're ordering to-go. This could be due to its popularity and so many people ordering at once, but most times I've been here I've had to wait over 45 minutes for my food. But taste-wise, it's great! Opened the package of pad thai and split it in half; one for me and the other for her. First noted large pieces of overcooked and tough chicken and very few peanuts. Once my wife tasted it, she gasped about how spicy it was. I tasted mine and I too felt it was hot/spicier than a level 2 elsewhere. Although I ate my half with lots of water and lots of chewing on the dry tough chicken. As a result we will not go back there or order from them and certainly will not recommend to others. The good news is none of us were hospitalized. The bad news is this place is a manure yard. The bikini shrimp were burned and not edible. The orange chicken was not orange anything. Food was okay. I take issue with a 18% tip included on 4 people. I admit is my fault I didn't look at my receipt more closely, but when I filled out my credit card slip which has tip suggestion for tips on top of that, that's ridiculous! this is my favorite Thai restaurant in DFW. There used to be one in Frisco as well, but the rent went up to ridiculous levels so they closed in December of last year and kept the Carrollton location. (The space where they closed is still vacant and has not been rented by another tenant. Take that silly landlord!) So now, from time to time, my wife and I drive to Carrollton to go to chili Thai. The service is subtle and polite; the way I like it. The people are very nice but they leave you alone and let you eat in private. Food is wonderful. Well done My wife got the peanut chicken (or something). It was good, but in my opinion, pretty sweet tasting. Tried the Thai Basil chicken for the first time and as expected it was delicious! Love the explosion of flavors and the freshness of the veggies. These were lunch portions, they are slightly smaller portions than the dinner portions and come with choice of soup or a salad and a yummy spring roll. The waitress at the front who took my order was very nice and welcoming. I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai with Broccoli (extra $1.00 charge). The meal was super good, fresh and hot. I ordered the Pad Thai with beef and extra vegetables Togo for lunch . The service was fast and the establishment was clean and inviting. However the food wasn't bad just not what I was expecting based on the web picture. There was lots of noodles so it could have been shared. I prefer more veggies. The vegetables were a little too soggy not very crisp which is important to me. And the beef was so so. as you can see in the picture I only ate half and I was pretty hungry. We've been to Chilli Thai many times and food has always been hit or miss. We did take out this time and it was a large order. Everything was below par. We ordered 2 fried rice, both were dry and very spicy even though I ordered mild. The soup was watery with just chunky onions and dry chicken. The garlic shrimp was less than 1/2 the serving and they charged $20 for the dish. Overall, I will be looking for a replacement. read more
