Reluctant to ever go out of my way to try something so unique, I actually had a colleague who worked part-time there who would bring Zepplin's into work all the time after a shift there... ... The concept of emptying out and filling a baguette with salad is definitely interesting... And it might even be a deterrent for some people for trying it out, so I am very grateful for my friend who turned me onto this place! Upon my first visit, I tried their Tinga chicken Zepplin and it is phenomenal. It is very very good! I got mine with chipotle ranch and avocado ranch. The flavor of this thing has me coming back at least once every two weeks. It is expensive, especially after leaving a tip and buying a drink on the app, coming to about 20 bucks for a stinkin' meal, but it is delicious. Being extremely curious about what happens to the inside of the baguettes, I noticed that they sell bread pudding, dessert, too; so I assume that this is where all that bread is going. The bread pudding is VERY GOOD, but serving-size is very small, but in my opinion, the perfect size for a dessert. I can see how some people might be upset about the small size, but frankly, they are fat ass Americans, lol, who are used to super-size drinks, fries, and inflammatory diseases #Hashtag "make small desserts a thing again". The ambience is on par with most fast food eateries these days: it is absolutely terrible! Hard surfaces everywhere, hard chairs, hard tables, so naturally it is a very unwelcoming environment, which is exactly how these corporate businesses design their stores... Corporate businesses don't want comfortable soft Carpets, comfortable benches, where people will spend time hanging out all day, or even soft seats... They strategically make their stores hard surfaced like this because, acoustically: sound is loud in these environments, and subconsciously customers don't want to spend very much time in these settings; Hence why they are designed this way to maximize turnovers and increase traffic. In my opinion, I think an eatery specifically like Bread zeppelin, would benefit greatly from having the Panera-bread style of soft carpets, soft seats, free Wi-Fi, welcoming all the local collage kids and other customers to hang out even if stay beyond the time it takes to eat their sandwich. Every time I hang out with my friend, we always get Bread Zeppelin because she loves it. I personally am not a huge bread/salad person, but I must say that this place is actually very good. I always get the Metro Cobb Zepplin with no bacon and each time I get different dressings. So far, I have tried the Red Wine Cobb Vinaigrette, Champagne Vinaigrette, and Balsamic Vinaigrette. They're both pretty good as well! I agree, this place is a bit pricey, but I think it's worth it once in a while. Therefore, I recommend this place for a quick and casual bite! read more

I have been going to bread Zepplin for years and decided I should post a review. I have to be honest I have only tried one sandwich, but I've had it a dozen or more times. It's the Nola and it is a beautiful thing. I don't know how else to explain these salads shoved inside of the most beautiful crispy bread loaf. The Nola has little popcorn shrimp, a spicy, remoulade, chopped pickles,, chopped red onions - it all just goes together so well! And that bread... I love the bread! You should ask for the cap of your bread when you get your sandwich because you're gonna wanna eat that little morsel for a special treat. Here at this location the food was good but not the same at all. The workers seem to not enjoy working. We sat in and ate and every table was dirty ( it was very slow ) so we cleaned our own table. Move over Panera Bread -- this place is amazing! My salad was delicious, but the star of the show was the warm baguette that wasn't too hard or crispy -- I couldn't believe how good it was! Usually the baguettes can be really hard and tough to chew, but this was not. Ordered a Lone Star salad for takeout. There were several problems: 1) the mobile app said that the order would be placed on the shelf for pick up. I arrived at the store and couldn't locate the pickup shelf...it turned out that there was no such thing. 2) the salad was not ready for pickup. The staff at the cashier talked to the lady in the prep area and they seemed confused. Another 5 mins wait. 3) the biggest problem was that the salad was not fresh. It's so rusty that you would find fresher salad from your local supermarket. $13 for a rusty salad?! Sent a detailed feedback to the company's customer service and have not heard back in a week. This was a dang good Salad!! I walked in and there were few people in here, which made me feel a lot safer about eating here. There were also markers on the floor for 6 feet of distance, which I liked. All of the employees were wearing masks, but they didn't all have them covering their noses. I ordered the Lonestar Salad, Zeppelin style with the Creamy Wasabi dressing. I absolutely loved it! All of the flavors went well together but the bread kind of made it feel like I was just eating a sandwich. Nevertheless, awesome flavors! I also ordered the Chicken Cesar Salad which was just okay. Different. Absolutely different! Yet I like it though, being that this is the first venue of its kind that I've ever tried. Pretty much, Bread Zeppelin is all about making salad fun again. The employees mix up what you want (be it salad with chicken, shrimp, other fixings), add in a house vinaigrette, cheese, and place inside of a hollowed out bread shell for between $10-12 (this was for The Metropolitan entree). The sandwich itself is quite compact, considering that the staff stuffs the living sh*t out of it with the salad ingredients. You even have the choice of keeping the bread guts to use for whatever. The staff was helpful in explaining the menu basics, so no complaints here. Certainly a good stop after shopping at nearby Nebraska Furniture Mart and Rooms To Go. Bread Zeppelin, baby! read more

Salad inside bread?? That was my first thought when I came here for the first time. Since that visit, I have been back every time I'm in town. Surprisingly, the combination of the salad (which you can pick from the menu or create your own) and the crunchiness of the bread compliment each other well and provide a burst of flavor that traditional sandwiches do not bring. I typically opt for the Chicken Caesar salad or the Metropolitan Cobb, both in a "zeppelin", which is what they call their hallowed out bread vessels. I love how the staff here chops up the salad right in front of you so that you get a little bit of everything in each bite. You can also choose between a variety of salad dressings to mix in. They typically have a recommended dressing for each salad, however you can always pick your own! Because the salads have to be prepped for each customer and individually stuffed into the bread, there is sometimes a wait at this place, especially during peak lunch hours. Expect to wait a little longer than you would at places like Chipotle or Subway. The wait does not bother me as much though, since the staff really customizes your order down to the amount of dressing that you want. That being said, this place does not usually get busy for dinner so if you want to skip the line come by then! PRO TIP: You can order a normal salad and get bread on the side (for a little extra) to stuff on your own at home! read more

I was excited to try Bread Zeppelin as I've heard it is similar to Salata. I placed a group order online for lunch and the pictures looked amazing! When I arrived they were extremely busy, so it took a few minutes for them to finish my order. When I arrived home I was deeply saddened because my salad was nothing like the pictures online. My friend and I came here for lunch because it is very close to our office. She has been here several times so she helped walk me through the process. And yes, its kinda a process. Bread Zeppelin is a salad shop that is set up kinda like Chipotle. You can choose from the pre-selected options or you can build your own. In a salad, you get 6 toppings but in a zeppelin (salad inside a bread roll) you get 4 toppings. You can always go above that, for a fee. My suggestion is that if you have never been, you might want to pre-plan because it can be a little overwhelming. I opted for a build your own with steak, tomatoes, feta and banana peppers. I might have added cucumber but they looked past their prime. I got it in the zeppelin because i wanted the full experience. My friend got the southwest, which she says she gets every time because she likes it so much. I have to say, having a salad in a toasted roll is kinda amazing. I also got chips, a drink and a cookie. My lunch was $15...which is pricey but for the amount of food, it wasn't too bad. I will be back, but maybe skip the extras next time because the sandwich was more than filling! read more

If you love unique salads then this is the place for you. They offer a variety of salads either in a bowl or stuffed inside a bread loaf. The bread loaf aka Zeppelin is amazing. You enjoy every bite with soft bread and also delightful taste of salad dressing and various ingredients. They basically charge above 12.00 per person on average but the cost is well worth the quality of food you enjoy. They even give you leftovers from stuffing your Zeppelin into a small bowl to take with you. Great for dates, business meetings or eating solo. Very nice quiet atmosphere also to enjoy your meal.
