We were out with friends and decided to try this new Beef-A-Roo place. Honestly, the name doesn't exactly grab me. It sounds like your getting a can of spaghetti or ravioli to heat up. But, we'll give it a shot. From first appearance, it looks like a typical fast food joint. Order and pay at the counter. Then, sit and wait for your food. But, they do cook your food to order. I guess that's necessary, with a menu with so many choices. I could have pondered that menu for a long time, but they made it easy for me by having their "two good for $7" special. Four items offered and you pick any two of them. Quite a deal, and the choices seem to change every month. Seems like a good way to get people to try different menu items. I ordered the Wild West Burger and Loaded Fries. The place wasn't busy, so our food was ready pretty quickly. My burger had cheese, bacon, bbq / chipotle sauce and a couple of onion rings. The burger patty was overcooked but the sandwich was pretty good. The loaded fries came with chopped scallions, bacon bits and a special sauce. It was a very good choice. Arby's is a controversial fast food choice, and I am firmly pro Arby's, so this place caught my attention with its roast beef sandwiches and more upscale vibe. They offer a great lunch special, so definitely check it out. My husband ordered a burger and it was actually better than my roast beef, so if I go again, I will get that. Please, for the love of all things delicious, get yourself some cheese curds. They were fantastic. Other reviews are correct that the service is geared more toward the drive-thru. There is only one person working the register and maybe one or two people in the back. Even so, the service was sincere and they clearly wanted us to be happy, which I was. The milkshakes looked great and I may try one next time. The portions were much larger than expected and we really should have split a lunch. read more

Having seen ads for Beef-A-Roo on my social media several times, I decided to check this place out when I was in the area. WOW! I was impressed! The restaurant was super clean, the employees were super attentive and welcoming, and the chairs were padded and super comfortable!! I ordered the double cheeseburger with a drink and a side of onion rings. I had no idea how large the burgers were, and it was H-U-G-E!! The onion rings were fresh, and not greasy. I only wish they had Coke products as their choice for beverages, instead of Pepsi. Their restroom was super clean. The overall experience was amazing! Nothing comes close, and yes that includes Whataburger. I hope to see a Beef-A-Roo open up closer to where I live, in Farmers Branch. read more

He is incredibly kind, patient, and knows exactly what to recommend. Total gem. I ordered the cheeseburger combo, and wow, just wow. The burger was made fresh with a perfectly smashed patty that had those deliciously crispy edges. And the size? Massive. Honestly, it could rival burgers from upscale restaurants. The fries were hot and crispy, the soda was ice cold and fizzy, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable. Great food, great service, great vibes. Beef a Roo is an absolute must try. Never heard of this place until I saw ads on a BBC America Bond Marathon on Christmas day. Pretty obscure medium to get the word out but got me through the door. There's a natural comparison to Arby's but Beef a Roo had a more extensive menu including burgers, chicken, wraps, and more. The two of us stuck to roast beef sandwiches, however, ordering a couple well-priced meal deals. Wife had the Classic Roast Beef and I had the Large version. Sides were Onion Rings and Fries. The Roast Beef was very good with the large being more than ample. Beef was tasty and buns were fresh. Sauces were not mentioned, offered, or available in the main dining area, however, and we both commented on the fact that something was needed before asking at the counter. Still don't know all available options, we were given horseradish sauce (think Arby's Horsey) which helped. Definitely check out options when ordering, a combination of BBQ and horseradish would have been a great addition. Sides would have been better but a bit undercooked. Usual offering of drinks. In summary, Roast Beef basic sandwich was great, staff should have made sauces more available and sides cooked a bit better. Still, a great start and a place to consider when in the area. Think fast food with flair! We got lunch for two for $20 and thats a steal now a days!! We will absolutely be back as the food was fresh and tasty. Get the cheese curds! The manager Victor helped us at the restaurant and provided amazing customer service and made us feel so welcome! The food was just awesome and hot even taking it to go. It wasn't that good. Husband was craving a burger so he stopped at this new place and got me the olive burger. Great deal for $5.55, which came with the jr cheese fries and a drink, but McDonald's is better. Enough olives that I could taste them in each bite, but there was zero seasoning on the burger and the fries. The fries were limp and barely cooked and zero salty or crunch. The cheese on the fries had no flavor also. The size of the burger was decent and the bun actually filled me up. My husband said his burger was good though, but he had the same complaint for his normal fries. I have not tried the dessert yet but it looks delicious and impressive. Husband said staff was friendly when he picked up order inside and that it was ready quickly and on time. I might go back to give this place a second chance, but I was not impressed at all and definitely won't go back if the second time is also a huge miss. We finally stopped to try this place out. The restarant has a large parking lot and is easy to get into from Hebron. We were greeted as soon as we opened the door. The clerk was very helpful giving us suggestions and answering all my questions. I ordered the 2 for $7 that was their special the cheese and beef sandwich and loaded fries. He brought them to our table which I liked. The sandwich was tasty(it could have used a little more cheese spread) the loaded fries were loaded. The restaurant was very clean. The manager/owner came around to all the tables asking how things were which was a nice touch. I know we'll stop again and try another of their sandwiches. So since the first review I had tried them twice to insure a sincere review. Since then I've been there two more times. Both times we tried something different from the menu. I tried the jalapeño cheese burger and the turkey wrap. The burger was bland and the wrap was equally insipid. Service was good but whomever they have cooking is not doing their best. The only upside was the price of the burger. I also tried the roast beef sandwich and that honestly tasted like shaved cardboard. Thank goodness someone actually serves a grilled fish sandwich. On top of that it's a mahi-mahi grilled fish sandwich and the filet was thick. I love it so much, I'm writing this review right after I got done eating it. I can't believe no other places even serve grilled fish sandwiches even sit down restaurants let alone a place with a drive-through. They make everything fresh so be prepared to wait five to seven minutes. Totally worth it. Please let this place be successful, so I can always get a grilled fish sandwich when I want one. read more

We ate here tonight and it was good, though they're still working a few things out. The restaurant was pretty empty and we had a big crowd of 5 families come in for their Sunday Kids eat free deal. They didn't have a way to ring up the free kids meals so it was all written on the side and a bit chaotic. However, the employees were very patient and accommodating and really trying. I think they just need to be equipped for the chain's deals and how to handle them on the register. My husband's combo came out without fries but they brought them out no problem. They really need to install some roll down sun shades on the windows. As for the food, the fries are sort of like McDonalds style. They have a seasoning packet you can apply that sort of just tasted like S&P to me. Otherwise, they don't have much flavor but they're still good enough. I got the turkey bacon ranch sandwich and it was fresh and pretty tasty. My husband got the wild West burger and said it wasn't bad...sort of like Sonic quality. The kids hamburger reminded me of a McDonalds hamburger. Overall, the employees are friendly and the food is good for fast food. The free kids meals on Sunday is a good deal. They definitely need some more training if they're going to sustain a bigger crowd long term, but I realize they're new and still working through things. Let me start by saying this is not my first rodeo with Beef-A-Roo. I tried them before, mostly in Kansas. Honestly, the Texas approach is nothing different than the ones I tried before. The menu is the same and execution is too. I normally go there for their burgers. My favorite is the Wild West one. I also always take sweet potato fries over regular fries. There is not much I can say about this place. It is a fast-food kind of restaurant but their menu is vast and varied. I'm pretty sure you'll find something for your taste, even if you are vegetarian. I had to be honest, for these kind of establishments I have my preferences, since Beef-A-Roo is now in the area, they moved towards the top of my list. Enjoy!! read more

My wife and I have been to this location about four times and we love it. We have tried the hamburgers, roast beef sandwiches, and the turkey bacon clubs. They were all great. I hate to compare this place to Arby's but if you serve roast beef sandwiches, it's going to happen. Well, unlike Arby's, the roast beef on these sandwiches actually taste like roast beef! The turkey bacon club was the perfect size and the buns for this were a wonderful multi-grain bread. They offer a wide variety of sides including sweet potato fries, cheese curds, onion rings, and steamed broccoli. In out last visit we tried a chocolate malt and it was very good. Try this place.
