I placed an online order and opted to pick up in the drive-through for online orders. First I want to say the building choice was great, lol. Being able to pick up at the window if you don't necessarily feel like getting out of the car is really helpful. My hubby and I love smoothies, but we won't be going back to this place. The service in the drive-thru was good, but the smoothies were horrible. Since this was our first time going, I can't compare to other visits. The smoothies were very bland and seemed like something was definitely missing. We each drank about half because we hated to waste the money since smoothies are quite expensive. We threw the remainder away. A couple hours afterwards, I got sick and was awake most of the night with an upset stomach. I can't say 100% that it was the smoothie, but I'm almost positive it was related. read more

I visit this location at least twice a week. I'm so hooked on the Mango Magic smoothie. I started getting the Buffalo Wrap and this combo is a tasty treat. The food is ok health wise but I usually get the peanut butter paradise smoothie. My review today is about the service. I had a coupons for the free supplement but because the cashier didn't know how to properly input the code I was unable to get my free supplement. That's ok didn't give them an attitude or anything just said it was fine and left the location. My point is that customer service has gotten worse with time. How about you recognize the fault was yours and just say you know what our bad I'll charge you for a regular smoothie and just add the free supplement instead of saying sorry we scan the reward too many times so now we can't honor the code. read more

Ordered three cheese quesadillas among other things, but the story here is the Quesa freak'n Dilla. What a joke. I've never seen a thinner Dilla or overcooked tortillas in my life. 10-23-2022 - Great food selection so much to choose from including breakfast. They have a Drive thru, Outdoor seating, no inside seating only a walk up window for ordering. For my first time I had the Avocado grilled cheese with baked lays. The sandwich was big, the sourdough was grilled to perfection. Other included sides are whole fruit or slaw. My partner had the chicken quesadilla it was four pieces and came with very flavorful and delicious salsa. I downloaded the app and joined the rewards program. I Will be trying the wraps, quesadillas, flat bread and other sandwiches next. Minus one star for the wait time, only 2 cars in front of us and it was 15+ mins waiting in line to order and food prep. I definitely recommend ordering ahead in the app so it's ready when you arrive. There is a separate drive thru line for online and 3rd party orders. read more

1st time patronizing this establishment, and I found hair in my smoothie! I purchased the Mango Magic smoothie. After my second sip of the smoothie I saw a very long hair strand in my mouth protruding from the straw. After I returned to the cafe I was met by "Mayo" who identified his/her self as an Assistant Manager. I told him/her what the issue was and his/her response was "we can remake it." He/she responded in a way as though it was not a big issue and in fact it was. Food establishments should have policies in place to minimize if not prevent things like this from happening on top of the food and health compliance regulations they must adhere to at all times per the City! I wouldn't recommend anyone to eat here, I've seen many bad reviews now through my discovery after my disgusting experience. read more

We were really excited that our area was getting another quick healthy option. My wife and I really wanted to like this place, but after several trips, we've come to accept that Tropical Smoothie Cafe is just not a place that we'll be able to work into our regular rotation. On my latest visit here this past Saturday for a quick lunch, I decided on the Thai Chicken Wrap and a Watermelon Mojito smoothie. To their credit, the smoothie was pretty tasty and they did at least go to the effort of toasting the wrap. However, that's pretty much where the accolades stop. The wrap was sad and pathetic and was pretty lacking in the protein department and definitely heavy on the tortilla/carbs. The Thai salad wasn't anything special and tasted like one of those pre-made Thai salads you could find in a grocery store (lots of large butt ends of the cabbage). I personally wished I would have stuck to my gut feeling and just gone across the street for a salad bowl from Chipotle or further on down the street for sushi. Like I mentioned before, we really wanted to like this place. But there's just been too many lackluster experiences for us to really recommend it. For roughly $13 for a drink and wrap, I was expecting something more polished and of sustenance then a wrap with a few bits of chicken and grocery store salad in it. Right off the bat, let me make this clear: I like the food. However, if there are more than 2 cars in the drive-through (and it IS a drive-through business), I'll go elsewhere. Why? See the other reviews. There's a bottleneck somewhere at this place, and it's not worth waiting in line for 20 minutes or more. Here's the clincher, though: TIP SHAMING. When you pay at the drive-through window, they put the card reader out on a wand, then tell you to use the buttons to make a selection, then hit the green button. What are the selections? TIPS. At a drive-through. Jack in the Box doesn't beg for tips. Dairy Queen, Taco Bell, Chik-fil-A, Canes, McDonald's, Popeyes, you name it - none of them force you to select "NO TIP" from the menu at the point of sale. What exactly sets this place apart from other restaurants that hand food to you from a window? If your employees aren't making enough money working in a fast-food restaurant, pay them more. I've done a similar review on Google and got the predictable reply from whomever. Don't offer to blah, blah, blah. STOP TIP SHAMING. read more

Just like others stated. This place is tip beggar. When you scan your card to pay. The prompt has it pointed to at least 15% tip... And you have to push arrow down like 4 times to cancel out the tip on the credit card machine. Such hassle and waste of time. Remind you this happens in the drive thru. What tip do you expect when you are just taking payment and giving customers their product. Do you guys pay your workers or expect customers to pay their wages thru tip. Also I noticed price increases throughout the smoothie menus. And like others said there is a bottle neck somewhere.
