New fav! Hands down this was worth the 35 min drive. I got the BMB and my friend got the Dalgona and I didn't try hers but mine was AMAZING! One thing I paid attention to was that they aren't using syrups or powders. That is a HUGE HUGE plus for me! I pay attention to that and really dislike when companies use those. They had a fresh tea machine that they continuously filled up with herbs and hot water and used that for the tea bases. Next time I come I'll be trying one of those! My fiancé and I stopped here at 7:55pm and it was still quite busy. The shop was very clean, they wipe down tables after every use. I really hope they can continue to do that because I've been to many bubble tea shops before where they did that in the beginning and then stopped. The drinks we got were really good! I got the strawberry matcha latte and my fiancé got the Peach Bellini. The only thing I would recommend for the shop is to add another screen & increase the font size. It's really hard to read the menu on the wall. I understand there's a lot of stuff on the menu so increasing the font would not fit everything on there but adding another screen would help solve that issue. read more

I love the atmosphere and setup they have going on. Plenty of different drinks to choose from. From your basics to some more interesting flavors. I went twice, back to back days since I loved the first time I went with a simple passion fruit tea and the tea was strong, boba was perfectly bouncy and solid overall. I went back and got the milk tea and jasmine milk tea which lacked the tea flavor of the first time. The grass hopper was cool, a popular choice I heard but it won't give you "boba vibes" but more so healthy juice forward type experience. Peach Bellini was also watery, would not recommend. No problems with the service, things moved smoothly with a slightly heavy flow of people. So I would consider this to be inconsistent, but worth me coming back a couple more times since they had such interesting flavors. read more

If you are looking for drinks with stronger tea flavors, I recommend this spot! This was my first time here and I love the story behind the creation of this store. I ordered the Passionfruit Jasmine at 50% sweet and the jasmine flavor is strong! This is a good drink to sip on slowly (hence, "cocktail inspired"). Even when the ice melted, I felt like the tea flavor was still there (but diluted but of course with the ice!). Red Straw tea bar is one of my favorite boba shops for more refreshing and fruity drinks. It's in a newer part of Carrollton Korea town and is always packed whenever I go there. Their menu is really huge so they have something for everyone, they also have some bingsoo from snowy village. I got the rose garden and peach bellini. The rose garden is a jasmine green tea combined with rose and lychee. The peach bellini was a peach black tea with lychee and mango. I love the little lychee bits in the rose garden but they don't put in that many. I liked the peach peach more, it had a like instead of a lemon so it added a bit more bitter flavor. It just tasted like everything was mixed in together perfectly. I would definitely recommend the peach bellini if you come here. read more

I typically request for 25-30% sugar, but the cashier mentioned that the sugar content was not high to begin with, which led me to 50%. Major regrets. I had to dilute the tea and coffee when I got home. I recommend going with 30% sugar. The ambiance of the cafe is warm with their yellow lighting, but bright with all of the natural light. Everything was top tier and this was one of the best boba spots I've been to. The whole interior was aesthetically very pleasing and very clean. The workers were really nice as well. The only thing that made my experience not as good as it would've been was that they ran out of boba, so I had to go with the agar boba, which is not bad, but not as good as regular boba. The drink itself was solid and not too sweet which I really liked, but perhaps next time I visit I'll be able to try their boba and most likely give this place a five star if everything lives up to this experience because I was simply unable to enjoy the drink as much as I would've if it had regular boba. I've tried Honey Oolong at many places and I will say it's the best here! The tea has not been over-steeped and has right amount of sea salt cream and honey. Grasshopper was unique to what others places don't have - green tea, jasmine flower, and cucumber juice. Now, I know I know, cucumber what?! Get out! I love cucumber and don't mind cucumber juice, but this is very refreshing. If you want some refreshing and detox-feeling drink, get this! I came here during their soft opening 3+ time and was floored by the quality of the tea and boba. I've tried their red straw milk tea and jasmine milk tea which I loved. However, since their grand opening I went once and ordered the red straw milk tea and was very disappointed. The turnaround time was way too long and my drink tasted like it was just watered down. I couldn't even taste the tea flavor. I will say that the honey boba is good though. Can we also talk about the placement of the menu being nowhere near the register lol it makes zero sense. There's a wall right behind the register that would be perfect for a menu. Ambience is nice with Christmas directions up.
