Among the group we had catfish, regular fries, sweet potato fries, onion rings, chef salad and of course a variety of Daiquiri's. Overall the food was delicious the regular fries had a hint of sweet mixed in with the salt. If you don't like sweetness order the fries with no seasoning. There were a lot of to go orders and at times service was a little slow. Order a daiquiri and sip on it while enjoying the music. I haven't been back, but based on my first review, the establishment publicly commented and said that while the margarita machine was down, every other daiquiri flavor was available. Talk about adding insult to injury...they now claim they offered an additional option, which is a flat out lie. I drove 20 minutes out of the way just to be told their machines were down, and left empty-handed - they simply told me machines were down, end of story. Just opened and already one of my favorite places to come to. Old school look inside. The guy helping us Tyler was super helpful and just fabulous! I can't tell you what flavor I didn't like but I can say it was hard to choose just one flavor. I ended up with Margarita with Mango. They have non alcoholic coming soon and several food options. The fried green tomatoes and boudin ballad were hot and tasty. Looking forward to coming back maybe for a girls day. read more

Love this place! If you like frozen daiquiris, this place is awesome. They have multiple flavors and you can mix them up with your own combos, or they have a bunch of recipes of 3 or more flavors mixed. (My favorite is the Texas Longhorn, which is both strong and sweet.) My favorite combo is: Hurricane, 190 Octane, and Margarita. (Tastes great and looks pretty, with Red, orange and yellow/light green.) Don't overlook the food! I didn't realize that they even had food the first few visits. The shrimp po' boy is outstanding! Also they have some really amazing fries with some sweetness in the seasoning. Love them! They have a lot of other New Orleans style food, I haven't tried it all yet, but everything I've tried I've liked. I also like that they have seasonal flavors, pineapple was my favorite last summer, but the sangria one they have now is really interesting, and mixes well with other flavors. I ordered the 8pc wings (lemon pepper and garlic parmesan flavor) with sweet potato waffle fries. The wings were moist and flavorful and the fries were fried hard per my request. The food is cooked to order so there is a little wait and I mean little but it's all worth it. During the wait time the manager checked in on me to see if I needed anything and to make sure I knew my food would be ready shortly. I've been going to Blends since before they moved to The Colony and have never had a bad experience. Let me just say they NEVER disappoint and they have the best daiquiris on my side of town. It's Friday AND a three day weekend and I haven't had my "Big Easy" (which happens to be my fav menu daiquiri)! I usually get the wings, shrimp or strips in any flavor because their seasoning blends are all flavorful but today I decided to redeem my free Po boy sandwich. The food and the daiquiri's are delicious. They have a drive thru window as well! The restaurant is always clean, and your order isn't cooked until placed, so it comes out extra fresh. So much flavor in the breading. The Boudin balls are exceptional! My boyfriend absolutely loves the catfish. Today I got the bomb pop daiquiri and I'm not the biggest fan of puns colada and the woman at the register over heard it and offered putting the margarita flavor in place of it, and she hit it out of the park with that suggestion! Love this place! The staff is always super friendly and helpful. I have to admit, I only come for the daiquiris, so I haven't sampled the take out menu. But the daiquiris are the best in the area, and you can walk/dine-in or do drive through. The daiquiri menu is separated by Strong/Sweet/Strong & Sweet or Seasonal. I always try to support my people but the customer service was not good at all. They were not friendly or welcoming whatsoever. I even asked to use the restroom after spending $80 and the lady refused after looking me up & down. Very combative even when I was just ordering my food. We had to wait almost 40 min for them to bring the food and daiquiris out and the drinks were half frozen. The food wasn't horrible but I wouldn't go back. Don't let the name fool you. This is defiantly a gem located in the The Colony Texas. The food was delicious!! My husband I was determined to tray almost everything on the menu. The Catfish and Shrimp POBoy sandwich was enough for two! Very well portioned and not hardly a small shrimp, they were large. The Boudin bites are some really big balls, so don't let the name fool you. We tried the fried green tomatoes, they were so good and the onion rings . The customer service was wonderful. The food is cooked to order, so you get what you pay for in a drive through at a fast food restaurant. I'm just saying. This Ambiance was friendly and low key Louisiana vibe!! Kudos for having such a Great place to get great drinks and food. The tropical sensation is just that, tropical with a punch. For dessert we had the Banana Pudding cake - the serving size was perfect for two. It was really good.
