Came here for Valentine's Day and the place was packed. You could feel how excited everyone was for dinner. What really stood out was their $90 omakase menu. It definitely had an upscale feel without being over the top. Sitting at the bar is 100% the move, since you get to watch the plating and interact with the chefs made the experience so much better. I'd recommend making a reservation if possible. They were super friendly and service all around was great. Loved that they served white wine alongside the omakase, which was such a nice touch. And the surprise dessert at the end (not even on the menu!) was a sweet way to wrap up the meal. Overall, the meal was amazing and well executed. I'd definitely return.

$90 for 12 courses is not a bad deal but do know they have to make certain concessions in order to get into this price range. You only get 6 pieces of nigiri. The fish choices are more on the "moderate" side price wise, things like scallop and toro are not on the omakase menu but are available via a la carte. I thought overall the meal was satisfactory for an omakase restaurant. Some fish needed to be cured a little better to bring out the flavor more but it's nothing heinous taste wise. I didn't care too much for non seafood courses: the noodles, the soup, and the dessert. They were all very forgettable. The exception would be the "A5 beef with Foie Gras". This was very enjoyable. The service could be a little better. The sushi chef had to waved down one of the staff members to tell them I had sat down. I'll give it a pass since they just opened so I'm sure the kinks are being worked out. The chefs that serviced me were all very friendly. They engaged and talked with diners. A small thing but I did like all the little lights on the ceiling that looked like stars.

Parking: Located in a shopping center with lots of free parking. Interior: Modern. Clean. Service: Sat at the sushi bar - it wasn't busy when I went today at 6pm, and so, I received exceptional service from both Jeff and Christian! Food: Excellent! Loved everything from the omakase - paid extra for the O-toro, Hon Uni, and Engawa. Drinks: Complimentary white wine that paired nicely with the omakase. Overall: Two thumbs up! Would definitely come back! I've always been a fan of O-Toro and Chutoro, but Engawa is my new favorite sushi! From the moment it touches your tongue, it just melts almost immediately - similar to a snowflake melting into the palm of your hand.

For $90, I really can't complain. It comes with 14 dishes-nigiris, nori chip with uni . My favorite was the soup. It's unique and different from the soup you typically get at a Japanese restaurant. For the price, the fish were good. I'd come back but only if it's the same price lol

My husband made a reservation to try this omakase and it did not disappoint. Service was on point. The chef we had was really fun to talk to and told us a lot about the fish we ate. The restaurant felt very relaxed and was very clean. The best sushi I've had in Texas thus far.

I think this is a wonderful place to enjoy omakase that is affordable for 12 courses at $90. Their service was amazing and provided us complimentary wine and dessert. The fish quality was fresh and I enjoyed the trio and pumpkin miso the most. I also order uni and ají as add on but unfortunately they were out of it due to it being valentine the day before. We then got the akamutsu which has a similar texture as mackerel but not the same flavor as it is a seaperch. I also got the o-toro but there were pieces that were too chewy for me. It was the only thing I didn't like there. Overall, the service here is amazing and a great place to get omakase!

My husband and I reserved a spot for 6:30pm on a Friday night. The sushi chefs are so sweet and polite, and service was great with warm hand towels and clean and elevated atmosphere. We sat at the bar and did their 12 course omakase plus two add ons. - Sashimi #1: Smoked flounder and pineapple. Tart, refreshing palette opener. 8/10 - Sushi #1: Shima aji. Slightly firmer texture that softens with delicate ocean flavor. 8/10 - Sushi #1: Akami (tuna) with wagyu fat. Extremely buttery texture with deep rich flavor. 8/10 - Sushi #1: Ume madai (sea bream) with apple juice & miso egg yolk. Clean fish with slightly drier texture that pairs well with refreshing adds. 8/10 - Sashimi #2: Spanish mackerel with ponzu, garlic, daikon salt, micro greens. Savory and slightly bitter taste when eaten with greens. Fish is clean with medium firmness. 6.5/10 - Sushi #2: Kanpachi (amberjack)with ponzu and green apple. Soft but with little chewiness. Delicate fish flavor with overall refreshing flavor. 8.5/10 - Sushi #2: Salmon torched with truffle butter & truffle. Buttery rich flavor and texture. 8/10 - Sushi #2: Black cod torched with lemon and torched again with miso. Perfect balance of buttery and firm texture. Miso flavor deep delicate flavor pairing. 9/10 - Chip: Tuna tartare with soybean paste to eat with bread. 6.5/10 - Add on: Kinmedai (snapper) with house sauce and lemon sauce. Clean and firm pairs with lemon sauce well. 8/10 - Add on: Engawa (halibut) torched with macadamia butter. Warm and flaky with buttery taste. 9.5/10 - Main dish: Cold noodle with sesame saice and black truffle. Strong and tasty sesame flavor with chewy noodle. 7.5/10 - Soup: Pumpkin miso soup. Mild and clean with pumpkin fragrance (but my husband says it's a 10) 6.5/10 - Main dish pairing: A5 Wagyu torched with meaty and rich flavor. 6/10 - Dessert: Matcha cheesecake. I'm not a cheesecake person. It is lighter than a plain American cheesecake but it's not like the fluffy asian cheesecake Bonus: Chef offered fresh ginger and sliced it up, which was spicy and refreshing. Overall, experience is well worth for the $90 price point (excluding add-on/)! Definitely enjoyed our dinner here! (photo captions may be slightly off ‍)

This was me and my boyfriend's first time having an omakase experience and we left feeling extremely satisfied and content with the experience. I recommend getting a reservation early; my boyfriend and I appreciated how warm and intimate the restaurant was when we first entered. We both tried the $60 omakase experience, half of what you'd get from the $90 omakase experience. Our chef was very kind and funny; as many reviews have mentioned, you can tell each chef really cares about the construction and care for each piece they make. Nearing the end of the omakase experience, we were allowed to order any additional pieces from the à la carte menu before the dessert. I ordered off the à la carte menu some king salmon sashimi and it was absolutely amazing; the portion size of the sashimi was perfect and there was the right amount of sear on each piece. The matcha cheesecake for dessert was so amazing, my boyfriend couldn't stop raving about it! The only thing I think the restaurant could improve was the choice of music. When my boyfriend and I were seated waiting for the omakase experience to begin, the pop electric music was a bit loud and it made it a little difficult for my boyfriend and I to hear the chef sometimes. Hopefully more soothing music can be played in the future to enhance the experience. Overall, we really enjoyed the experience. If we're ever in the area again, we would like to return again!

I wish I could give this place 10k more stars. The omakase dinner was one of the best experiences I've had in a long time and well worth the $90. Everything was delightfully fresh and the chefs were so fun to get to know. Cannot wait to return!

I've been wanting to try a new sushi spot for awhile now and saw that Osho Omakase just opened. I went to try it with my boyfriend and we absolutely loved the place. The sushi was very fresh and my favorite was the Uni. You can tell the chef paid attention to detail, and made the experience enjoyable. Service was friendly and fast. The restaurant itself is a comforting modern environment/atmosphere. Overall great experience! Would love to come back here for another date night

Osho is more than just a meal; it's an art form. The highlight of the night was the precision of the sushi. You can tell the chef is a master because the balance between the warm rice and the cool fish was absolutely perfect. Highly recommend booking a seat here.

Osho Omakase is one of those rare spots that truly lives up to the hype. From the moment you walk in, the vibe feels intentional--calm, intimate, and elevated without being stiff or pretentious. The service is outstanding: attentive, warm, and genuinely passionate about guiding you through the experience without ever rushing it. Every course feels thoughtfully prepared, with fish that's incredibly fresh and balanced, letting quality speak for itself rather than hiding behind excess. You can tell there's real respect for the craft here, from the precision of the cuts to the pacing of the meal. It's the kind of omakase where you leave feeling taken care of, impressed, and already thinking about when you'll come back. Easily one of the best omakase experiences around.

I love sushi and enjoy supporting new restaurants, so I had high expectations coming here. At $90, the omakase price seemed very affordable. However, after the experience, I truly don't think this restaurant should be offering omakase at all. From the decor and build out to the quality of the food, everything felt poorly executed, worse than a buffet. Honestly, in my opinion, this place does not meet the basic standards for an omakase restaurant. I was extremely disappointed.

I've been to Michelin starred omakases (including tempura omakases) in Japan and New York, and this place honestly meets or comes extremely close to fitting the bill in terms of food and service. At the Michelin restaurants, you pay almost double the price for high quality ingredients, stellar service, ambiance, and a Japanese toilet :P For $100 pp for the tempura omakase at Takumi Hachi, you leave feeling full and satisfied, with a great selection of light and deliciously fried fritters. Each person gets a bowl of their divinely delicious tempura sauce with a generous amount of shaved daikon (not even lying when i say this is my favorite tempura sauce i've had, i could've just drank it on its own) and a selection of salts, with each course given a recommendation of which salt to use. In terms of ambiance: frankly speaking, if it was just the counter service omakase, i'd say it would feel more stuffy and unapproachable. But there is a general seating area that is not counter service where you can order off the menu for sushi, robata, and a la carte options. No dress code enforced or recommended, so you can be dining with all sorts of patrons with different sizes of families and children. whether or not this is your jam, it's still an extremely accessible place to dine for anyone and everyone. Reservations were incredibly easy to make (tempura omakase only From Sunday thru Thursday). Service was really kind and attentive, my husband's water literally never went below half empty. The only thing to take service to the next level is if they cleaned/wiped your plate/gave you a new plate between each course. American toilet. Lol. That's neither here nor there, but the bathroom is very clean lol! They were also sweet enough to read my reservation note for the occasion for dining and gifted us a delicious strawberry mousse, accompanied with a surprise tableside matcha to end the meal. I'm already looking forward to try their kaiseki set meal next time, and know that this place is a top contender to take my friends or loved ones for special occasions. I can't speak much for their sushi, but I added on some robata and grill menu items to the omakase and they were fantastic. Highly recommend the maitake mushroom tempura add on to your course. If you order ebi sushi, they offer to take the head once you're done eating the sushi and either put it in a miso soup or fry it for you, which i thought was a wonderful option. Also, we got tempura anago, something I've never had anywhere else, served two different ways. That alone was enough to make this experience stand out. For an experience like I had tonight, I felt as if the restaurant should be more full. Maybe because it is tucked away behind the other chain restaurants in Addison that are a little easier to see. Don't hesitate if you see the price tag, I definitely think you get a great value for food, service, and experience. We were there for two hours and enjoyed it very much. Thank goodness i don't have to drive all the way to downtown Dallas to enjoy some delicious Japanese food without the headache and hassle of finding parking and an accessible reservation.

The clay pot was actually a huge portion as both of us ended up getting two bowls worth. Pacing of the meal was solid, kept it moving but didn't feel rushed at all. We were celebrating a birthday and they gave us a sweet treat as well at the end which was so appreciated! Would definitely recommend for a special occasion

When we walked in, the hostess had a poor attitude and was off putting. Unfriendly and borderline rude. We made sure to get there as soon as they opened because we knew it would be dead, and we'd have better luck at quicker service. Unfortunately, they sat us outside because we had our ESA animal in an enclosed carrier after grilling us about what services he performs, and I believe we were forgotten about since we were the only ones on the porch. It was a very warm day with high humidity. I asked the hostess if she could make sure the fans were on since it was so hot, and she asked, "So, you want me to turn them off?" We only ordered two apps of Roti Canai, one order of the twice friend wings, and an order or the donuts (all were ordered at once to help speed things along since it was so hot outside.) It took quite a while, and the wings came out soggy and cold, which is not the norm. A thunderstorm was coming in, and we had been waiting on our donuts for at least 20 minutes at this point. My husband informed the hostess that we would have to either cancel the order or move inside since it was about to start raining. She flippantly said that she would have to ask the manager first if we were allowed inside. We were so turned off that it really ruined the experience, and it was not the way we wanted to celebrate Mother's Day. The donuts finally came out (also cold), and I had my husband just give her the credit card without the check so we could hurry up and get off the porch before it started coming down. We rushed through the dessert and left. Not loving our experience and not sure if we'll be back until the attitude and service changes. We're bummed because we were always a fan of this place until now.
