Everything about this restaurant screamed they need to close it. The pregnant waiter was presentable in appearance however she did not have great customer service and she stole $10 from my tab. She tried to keep the money for a tip and was not expecting for us to ask for it. I requested the manager (Robert) to review the camera footage he then stated, "Reviewing the camera footage is a waste of his time" and he gave us the $10 back. During the order my friend tried to change her order and was told she will be charged for the order as well as the new food item she requested. Stopped here while in TX last week. Our experience was stellar. They were understaffed, but our server was exceptionally professional. This is my second time coming to Bucky moon shines.. and honestly it's the closet thing to home here! I've tried other places but it really doesn't hit the spot. The service is A1 our bartender was Rico, and he was really nice and made our drinks soo good! But the best part of the restaurant is the vibes! When I tell you the music is hittin they play everything from Salonge to Backstreet Boys! There's a parking lot right next door.. it is paid parking so keep that in mind! I came on a Tuesday at 7:45 pm. There was only one other table filled so the service was great to me. Food came out fast and fresh. I had the swamp water which was good but not on the sweet side. I didn't mind waiting at all, but what I didn't appreciate is another party of 2 came in after us. They waited for a while and then were seated before my sister and I. Not only did someone else get seated before we did after waiting, but the host/waiter could've acknowledged us with anything. He would do a task, and check in with people and then come near the front and lean on the bar and take out his phone. He repeated this sequence a few times. Also there was an entire middle section that was empty, and the entire patio was empty, so I didn't understand the seating situation. Again I don't mind waiting at all, and I understand that as customers you don't know what's going on behind the scenes, but the way everything was presented was off. We had a group to celebrate 3 famous birthdays of May together. 12-15 people. We had 12 people ready to sit and enjoy the music. We got rejected and they Didn't want to sit us on the patio( there were plenty of seats) They wanted us to put everyone tickets on one person credit card. They wouldn't serve us until everyone in the group was there. They wouldn't even take the drink orders. We ask all the questions to not cause a situation. When have the rules changed? It is a New policy. We just left 3 weeks ago and we had the same amount of people and it was no problem for everyone to pay their own tickets. They said if they have to do it for everyone else they have to do us the same. They said New Policy. They said it's the manager rules. They said order at the bar because they can't take our orders. They said we have to move because they have other people to fill the seats. We comply We go to the bar and we were told by the guy manager that we can't order at the bar. We should just get out and leave. They called security on us to be removed. All the staff was body language rude and attitude rude. I walked into this place totally clueless, only knowing there'd be moonshine involved, while my partner was practically bouncing with excitement--turns out she had an entire TikTok file saved on the place! Whenever someone comes to Dallas and ask me for a place to eat I recommend Bucky Moonshine's. I always tell them to get the Catfish Atchafalaya. You can't go wrong. It is delicious. The best I have had in a restaurant outside of Louisiana. However, the miss is on the chicken. It is never spicy. Like never. It is fried nice, juicy and crispy but never spicy. Now, I am a fan of fried green tomatoes and theirs is pretty good but I have had better. I don't like it when the crust falls off. But what makes the place worth going is the staff.
