I went to Velour on a birthday dinner celebration invite! The location is near the AA center. We are arrived and the valet or parking is about two blocks away. They seated our party very late, even there was a planned party reservation . The party ahead us left late. We were offered champagne. Despite the late seating the service was good. The waiters were nice. The first course came out quickly. The second course were staggered. Some us got food quickly while others waited. The food was good. The branzino , catfish, crab claws were delicious. Nice restaurant, nice ambiance! I will be back!

I missed the door to this place twice the ambiance is beautiful! I went for the crab claws and I was SO pleased! They were meaty and the sauce they came in was so good! It was happy hour so they were only $12! I also had a rum based cocktail that was frozen. It wasn't the best but again I went for the crab claws. My friend had the crab queso and loved it! I'd go back next time in Dallas!

You know those places you go to and really want to keep to yourself they're so good but they deserve to be amplified? This is one of them (and I already have shared and friends agree!) The food was delicious. They have a lot of great options on the menu, offer late night happy hour on the weekends (!) and are open late. For this visit we tried: - Roasted crab claws - 100/10. We ate every drop the beurre blanc we could scoop up with the bread! - Fried wings - 10/10 - Velour Ceasar + shrimp 9/10. It was over dressed, but the dressing was good and it was a great portion for 1/2 sized. I normally ask for it on the side so that's truly my miss. My friend had the sticky ribs and Tx Cobb salad 1/2 sized). She really enjoyed them but I unfortunately couldn't try since they contained pork. Our waiter was very attentive and helpful with making decisions for our meal and drink suggestions for my friend. This gem sits in Victory Park and has both in and outdoor seating options. It's such a vibe when you enter in - decorated well and whether a DJ or a playlist I had friends visiting recently who were looking for a place on a Thursday night and they raved about how great of a recommendation it was They also serve brunch so I can't wait to give it a try.

I visited this restaurant with a friend who raved about their dishes. Upon entertaining, the establishment appears large but the dining area is actually quite intimate. The decor stood out in the restaurant and the large mirrors surrounding the back wall. Our server was very kind and quite hilarious! He recommended some of his favorite entrees but I knew what I had my heart set on. The smash burger was pretty large ! I ended up only eating half and boxing up the rest for next day's lunch. (My air fryer is heaven sent). I would definitely go back to try other items on the menu. The drinks and food satisfied me and I'd definitely recommend this place if you find yourself near Victory Park!

I've been to Velour at least 5 times and I'm still on the fence about what to rate it. I wish we could give half stars because this would be a solid 3.5. Drinks and ambiance 5 stars, food 3.5 stars, service 2 stars. I really want to love it here but the service is consistently slow, even when it's not busy. Between the Lack of silverware, waitresses not checking in, and long wait for drinks (including water), I can't recommend coming here if you're in a rush. The food has potential. I really enjoy most of the appetizers. However the entrees are hit or miss. For example, the snapper dish is extremely over-seasoned, but the Caesar salad is perfection. If they improve the service and tweak some of the entrees, it's an easy 5/5!

I saw this place on Instagram and so I decided to go to celebrate a Friend of mine's birthday. Now, when I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile, and also told that reservations were needed, which I did not know, but I will say that the hostess was extremely accommodating. A friend of mine bought her baby with her and because of the baby and the stroller, they accommodated us and sat us down and gave us an hour and a half limit which we stuck to. The service was amazing. I honestly gave the staff a 10 out of 10. Especially our waitress her name is Chrissy. Ambiance was good. The food was delicious. We went there for happy hour. I had the crab claws and the chargrilled oysters. And as a dessert, I had their bread pudding, which was delicious. I will definitely be back and I definitely recommend this to anyone and just remember to make reservations prior to going.

This is a vibrant establishment with great music and vibes. The service was efficient and the food was really good. The crab claws are the best!

New Restaurant that's been on my list. Welcome to Velour! I decided to check out Sunday Funday Brunch. I love that they offer Happy Hour Specials on Sundays. This includes BRUNCH! They have food and cocktail specials so that was a BIG plus. I have mixed emotions writing this review. Some things were truly great and a few things need work. They are new and still working out some kinks. Service 5 STARS Service was AMAZING! Our waiter was on point. He was polished, polite, pleasant and just phenomenal. He made the experience even better. I can honestly say he was helpful and went above and beyond my expectations. Ambiance 4.5 STARS The restaurant is definitely modern, posh and chic. It's truly cute and I appreciate the simple decor. The bar area feels sophisticated. It has a huge tv screen and nice barstools. The colors are nicely matched throughout the restaurant. The restrooms are dark, but sexy. It's a great space and feels comfortable and clean. Cocktails 4 STARS I thought they were all tasty and delicious. I could taste the liquor. I was happy and satisfied! Food 3 STARS Overall This is where it fell apart. I wasn't happy with it. Some items were yummy and others fell short. The good-OYSTERS were awesome. I loved these and would recommend them. The chicken lollipops were scrumptious. They were cooked perfectly and well seasoned. Presentation was excellent. These items get: 4 STARS. The ok-PANCAKES were decent. You get two and they are a good size. The syrup had a nice flavor. They weren't the prettiest pancakes, but overall they were acceptable. 2.5 STARS The bad-fried chicken was fried too hard and very BLAND. They need to work on the recipe. Also double check what pieces you will get. I was given a breast, thigh and wing. I like small pieces of chicken and had stressed this. They were out of legs and I really wanted a leg. Shrimp and grits were not the best. Grits were hard and undercooked. The shrimp were fine, but you only get three. 1STAR What I loved is that the manager came to the table. I gave him some constructive feedback. He was very receptive and offered to make things right. This made me feel better about dining here. The grits were sent back. I was able to get all wings. Overall it was good experience. I am always happy to support a new restaurant. I think once they work out a few things they have potential. A few menu tweaks on the recipes would be great. It wasn't perfect, but I can say the new leadership is great. My final thought is...Food really should be the star of the restaurant experience. Fix the chicken and grits!

My absolute favorite thing about this spot? The music isn't loud. No shouting across the table. No "WHAT?!" after every sentence. Just good vibes and even better conversation. We stopped by on a Tuesday for happy hour, before a concert. Erin was our server, and she was phenomenal. She gave thoughtful recommendations, knew the menu well, and made the whole experience feel easy and welcoming. Now let's talk food. We tried the lamb chops -- great flavor, nicely seasoned, though slightly on the tougher side. The truffle fries? Loved. The burger? Delicious. The oysters? Fresh and absolutely worth ordering. The cornbread was served with a bone marrow butter that added a rich twist, and the cornbread had a subtle jalapeño kick (at least to me!), which I really enjoyed. For drinks we tried the pear cobbler, Island Boy and the Pixie Cup. We enjoyed the pear cobbler the most. The ambiance is warm and inviting -- the kind of place you could come for happy hour and accidentally stay all evening. And I believe parking is validated. Overall, I definitely recommend checking Velore out. Great service, tasty food, relaxed atmosphere, and music at a volume that respects your eardrums. The menu will be changing again soon.

Velour did not come to disappoint! I came for the Tuesday all day happy hour with $8 drink special and food specials! You can't beat that! Tuesday for the win! Immediately when we came in we were greeted by the staff who gave a warm welcome and a friendly smile. We didn't have recommendations but they were happy to accommodate! The ambiance is perfect for a date night or anywhere you want a grown and intimate experience. Hannah was our server, and she was knowledgeable about the menu and was able to make multiple suggestions! I am always torn and she made it so simple! She made us feel like we were the only one in the restaurant Management staff Dani and Swede made sure we enjoyed our experience. Coming back to check on us! I will be back! The lamb kebabs, smash burger and bone marrow cornbread was delicious!

My friend and I came to Velour on a Tuesday night around 8:45 and it was packed! We didn't make a reservation ahead of time so we waiting for the next available table. We were seated in less than an hour. I had an Island boy (drink) and mannnnn was it strong. I ate the crab claws, wings, collard greens and Mac and cheese and I love all of it. It was hot and seasoned and cooked to perfection. I left full and happy. The DJ did not miss, we were singing along the entire time. My friend enjoyed her food especially the crab claws. She also had the oyster and some wine. Our waiter was nice and attentive. I'm going back next week!

The experience at Velour was interesting... and definitely a never again for me for food. Six of my friends and I went for brunch and were one of the first groups there when they opened. They advertise a complimentary glass of champagne upon arrival, but we were not offered this. It was only after we asked later in the service that the champagne was finally given to us, which already set a disappointing tone. We ordered happy hour drinks and those were honestly 10/10 amazing. Unfortunately, the food did not match the quality of the drinks. I ordered the French toast with banana foster. The banana foster sauce itself was good, but the bread tasted burnt and overly hard taste, and the dish sat in a soupy base that helped the taste a bit. Several people at our table received their food cold. We were asked to step away to take pictures while the food was brought out, but when we returned about 10 minutes later after being told the food was ready it was cold. Three people in our party didn't eat their meals at all. It took about 30 minutes for the manager to come to the table. We were told he was also cooking, which already felt like poor management. Before coming over, we watched him stop to chat with a friend at the bar and the friend looked back at our table as if the manager was complaining about us.. very unprofessional. When he finally spoke to us, he wouldn't offered refunds and said he would give us free shots and I believe he took 15% off their price. However, it took so long for those shots to even come out that we decided to leave without them. Every request seemed to take a long time for anything to come out. Our server was kind but forgetful and clearly overwhelmed. We still tipped him because he tried, but overall the service and food execution were very poor. The space itself is beautiful, but that's where the positives end. If I ever returned which is unlikely it would be for drinks only. I would never order food here again.

Had reservations with a girlfriend for Saturday evening. Parking is a bit annoying, but that's typical in victory park. They have valet and do validate the garages, but be prepared to walk a block or two for both options. It's a cute restaurant with an area to take pictures and private room for larger parties. Took about 15 minutes to get seated, the server and our waiter, Manny, were both very great. Customer service is definitely their strong suit. The food, however, took a very long time to come out. We got the oysters to start, which were basically just cheese - not necessarily a bad thing. I got the pasta with shrimp and chicken which was very flavorful. My friend got the fried catfish, which she enjoyed. We also shared greens and mac and cheese. The greens were wayyyy too salty, but the mac and cheese was solid. Our drinks were also pretty good. Overall, I would give it a 3.5 but due to the great service I'll give it a 4.

Of course, the main reason we stopped in was the Frozen Espresso Martini, which had been highly recommended to us--and whoever made that recommendation deserves some credit because it did not disappoint! It was exactly the kind of indulgent afternoon drink I was hoping for. We were also told that we should try the Frosé, so that's officially on my list for the next visit. Hopefully, I'll get the chance to try it when I'm back in town. I really enjoyed the design of the restaurant as well. The dining areas and bar have a very open, comfortable feel without being overly loud or chaotic. It struck a nice balance between being lively and still allowing you to actually enjoy your conversation. We only came in for charcuterie and drinks, so I didn't get the chance to experience the full food menu, but I was still genuinely impressed with the overall experience. If I'm back in Dallas, I'd definitely return--and next time, I'd love to sit down for an actual meal and explore more of the menu. Overall, Sixty Vines was a great afternoon stop: friendly service, a beautiful and comfortable space, and a Frozen Espresso Martini worth making a trip for.
