    Rotisserie chicken
    Jeanette D.

I stopped by Yardbirds yesterday after going to the Big3 basketball event downtown with friends. The ambiance at Yardbirds is amazing. It's a southern upscale vibe. Our server was attentive and on point. We started out with a cool nonalcoholic beverage on a hot summer afternoon, the Passion Fruit Breeze. It was the perfect blend of passion fruit with a hint of basil and lemon and topped off with ginger ale. We decided to share family style rotisserie chicken, hot chicken, green, Mac and cheese and deviled eggs. The hot chicken was the best. It really wasn't too spicy but had a nice flavor. I really wasn't sure about the rotisserie chicken after seeing it, but it was actually tasty. It's not as good as the hot chicken but it is good. The rotisserie chicken comes with blackened green beans. Those green beans were delicious. They were spicy but not too spicy and very delightful. The greens were the best side. The Mac and cheese was basic and I would not order it again. The deviled eggs were ok. Overall Yardbird is still a great option and go on open table to book reservations.

Stopped in again with my son today for lunch. Like always the place has an amazing ambiance great for a date or girls night out. For lunch there plenty of seating and no reservation is needed. We were greeted by our server almost rapidly and he quickly brought out water. Not long after placing our order or lunch entrees came out and was so enjoyable. Tons of flavor and very easy to consume most of the food in a matter of minutes. Lol. It's just so good. Can't wait to get in here again.

Delicious food. Amazing happy hour. Nice patio. Great location. What more do you want?!? I stopped by here for happy hour with a friend and we had a great experience. Their happy hour deals are actually legit! I loved their cocktails and that they don't skimp on the fancy ice or barware just bc it's during happy hour. Their food is actually tasty and the patio is set up nicely for some good people watching. The location is also super close to downtown, uptown, and Klyde Warren park so it makes for a great meeting point before / after events. The old fashioned was tasty and the popcorn shrimp and wings are can't miss items. Highly recommend yardbird and it does not give off chain vibes (I've been to another location in Miami and they have one in Addison also I believe).

I hadn't been to this location in years, and it didn't disappoint now that I've returned. Food was good- chicken and waffles: better than the average find around town; greens: very tasty; mac and cheese: ehh, not bad, but not my fave; biscuits: delicious with the apple jam as always. (I've been to the Vegas location more than the Dallas location) The server was nice and attentive. I'll visit again sooner than later.

I came here with friends for brunch on Sat am. Our sever, Andre, was great. My friends were a bit obnoxious and asked a thousand questions but he remained patient and friendly. The food was decent. I really liked the chicken biscuits. The fried green tomato sliders were pretty good. I'm not sure how I feel about coming back here, but I am glad I tried it out.

Everything went well! The food was fresh! I had the wedge salad with bacon and not only was it filling but every single ingredient was super fresh and tasted amazing. I ordered the margarita for happy hour and it was made to perfection. Lastly, I came in my sweats and T shirt as I did not anticipate coming to eat here but they treated me very well with zero judgement. I really appreciated that for such a nice restaurant. I would definitely say yes, come here and enjoy yourself. Happy hour till 6pm.

I have been to Yardbird before, but I think this was the first time since I started my pescatarian diet. The decor is very chic and all the staff was super friendly and helpful. Also love that they comp parking in the parking garage. Our waiter went above and beyond, to make sure I had something good to eat. Andre helped me tweak the chicken and egg sandwich and we switched it out for salmon. I also got a side of their spiced watermelon. It was amazing! I also had some of my friends fried green tomatoes. I just took off the bacon. It was the perfect little bite. Andre also helped my friends and kid with their food selections and answered all of our questions. I also got their smoke on the water cocktail... At first I was a little nervous because it came in a bottle, the bottle was very cute by the way, but can I tell you this drink was hitting! It had the perfect amount of smoke when it came out of the bottle and the flavor, if you like cinnamon and a whiskey, this is the drink for you. My only complaint was the hash brown. It was pretty and it was crispy but it lacked seasoning. And maybe because I ate it last, but it was cold and hard to cut through. I added some hot honey hot sauce and pepper and that helped. Overall, my meal was very good and service was amazing. I will definitely be back.

Location -9/10 right off the highway and close to Kyle Warren Park so if it were earlier in the day, the kiddos could play before or after. Service- 8/10. Speed if service was great. However there was not a ton of "checking in". When you're sitting close to the kitchen and several water glasses need to be filled, it makes a customer feel unnoticed. Our order was taken quickly and the food came out expeditiously and piping hot. Food portions 10/10 - Chicken platters were expansive. The four pieces and watermelon with a couple of sides literally fed me, my wife and my six year old son. Food quality- 9/10 Everything was really good. Well seasoned and served hot and fresh. The only ding was that the Collard Greens were too salty. Price 8/10- given the fact that many portions were large, it might be worth offering smaller portions for lower prices. But hey, that might be their business model to feed you and give you enough to take home? This is my second time to this location and I have been to other Yardbird restaurants in Las Vegas and Miami. I'm a fan of the restaurant and it is an easy place to give most people plenty of variety. I'd recommend for a small or a large group. Our group of nine (9) was easily accommodated and there was not a single complaint from our crew. Would I visit again? Absolutely!

Met with family & friends who were in town for the weekend. When I called to reserve a table which was highly recommended, I was informed due to the size, I needed to put a credit card of file and if we cancelled (as it was less than 24 hrs) I would be charged $25 per person!! Needless to say, we didn't make the reservation and just walked in at 2:30 in the afternoon and literally the place was empty. We were seated immediately and I wish I had gotten the servers name because he was AWESOME, as he asked what we usually like to drink to make drink recommendations as well as made sure that my water glass was always full. We opted for drinks & appetizers, I got the blackberry burbon lemonade however I subbed out the Jim bean for crown, we got the cornbread, the wings (that come with fries), both of the deviled eggs, the BLT, and the Texas Twinkie (happy hour portion). My family member also ordered the shrimp & grits. Personally I loved my drink, I loved the wings, I liked the BLT, everyone liked the cornbread, the eggs were okay, and the Texas Twinkie was my least favorite. My family member said the shrimp & grits were okay, she even mentioned sausage in the dish. There is valet parking - I believe it was $5 - there's also a parking garage where they do validate, and there is street parking but I would suggest one of the other options. Would I come back . . . I would and I will.

went here for a birthday dinner tonight and it was a good experience. it was my first time coming and food was really good! I had the bbq chicken skewers w dirty rice and honey brussel sprouts. some of our party were regulars there so that speaks for it as well! everything was really flavorful. portions are big, drinks are good. we had a party of like 11 and service was still super on point! i'd def return.

    Just pretty

A fun spot! The food is yummy! But I'll be honest my deviled eggs did not taste fresh. They actually tasted like they were made and maybe putting in a refrigerator and brought out later but they still were fantastic but I could tell they were not fresh. Everything else was amazing. My breakfast was amazing. The location is amazing right across the street is downtown Dallas, where you can walk around and sightsee have a picnic but the restaurant itself the food was great and the deviled eggs were great too. They just were not fresh fresh. If you know what I mean.

The entrance to the parking garage that has an elevator up to the street level is off of Pearl Street, on the north side of the restaurant.

No rooftop, but there is patio seating that faces Klyde Warren Park and a few tables along the front entrance.

At one point, our food was delivered while we were outside getting fresh air. The food was also disappointing. The scallops and chicken were extremely salty and lacked flavor, and the chicken was overcooked. When we brought it up, the server did little to address it. To top it off, we saw two large cockroaches around our table, which was especially noticeable in the dark dining room. The cocktails were the highlight, but overall, the service, food, pacing, and cleanliness did not meet expectations. One star. Very disappointing, and I'm not sure I'll be back.

The staff was very welcoming, and the other guests I encountered were friendly and sociable. The drinks were excellent. On my first visit, I had the Hugo Spritz, which was mixed to perfection. During my second visit, I tried the Bitter Lemon Soda, which was also very good--simple, refreshing, and without any overpowering flavors. I actually enjoyed The Bowen House so much that I went twice during my weekend trip to Dallas. It has an almost speakeasy-like atmosphere, with low lighting and a cozy, historic feel. It's also in a very walkable area, which made it easy to visit on foot. There is some parking available, although I would say it's somewhat limited. I don't think it would be the best spot for a very large group, but it would be perfect for a few friends getting together. Me and my friends have a relationship with the long time staff as customers as well as the excellent music talent. The cause? Not precisely sure but I think it's new ownership, at the very least a new Food & Bev manager. I also know the staff is very upset about these changes and the relationships with the repeat music talent is now a mess. I wouldn't be surprise if the staff start leaving. (I rarely post Yelp reviews so that's how bad it was) I ordered the steak frites medium-well (thinking it would probably come out well-done, as most non-steakhouses tend to do). After a long wait for our food (the restaurant didn't look that busy, but maybe a lot of to-go orders?) I received the pictured steak: I'm pretty sure I can still hear it mooing. How anyone could look at this and think this is medium-well is beyond me. I tried taking a bite, but it was so raw it was inedible to eat - I would've been chewing for ages. I brought this up to my waiter, who said he would take it back and speak to the kitchen. My group needed to leave for another event (didn't anticipate waiting nearly an hour for our food) so we simultaneously asked for our checks. The kicker? My waiter did not follow up with me on how raw the steak was and did not comp my meal/provide any kind of remedy. I wasn't looking for a free meal, but the lack of follow-through to remedy the situation was the icing on the cake (or insert some kind of raw steak pun). My cocktail (which all arrived AFTER our meals were delivered) was pretty good, thus the 2 stars. But I question why/how my steak was so raw despite me waiting 45-55 minutes for it. Overall, only come here for drinks - so long as you're okay with waiting forever & a day for them.
