This is my second time at The Biscuit Bar. I went at 10am this time, the first time I ordered to go at 1am, and I love how consistent this place is! Both times the food was great. I got a simple bacon egg and cheese biscuit but it was the perfect size, the egg was cooked perfectly the bacon was good and overall it was nice and cheesy! My fiancé had the monte cristo which he enjoyed! He said it tasted like a McGriddle, which didn't sound like a bad thing to me. We also shared the plain tater tots. They were decent. If they'd been cooked a little less, they'd be perfect. For drinks, I tried the açaí soda and it was super good! A berry flavor, well carbonated and refreshing at the same time. My fiancé ordered a coffee and raved about it. The line was long and the traffic didn't die down the entire time we were there, but it gives you time to figure out what you want. Also, the way that the place is set up makes sense because by the time you move through the line, more tables and seats become available. Considering how much foot traffic there was I'd also say the place was fairly clean. The vibe in here to me is cozy, rustic, yet modern. Cant wait to come back!
Everything started off fine. We ordered our food and sat down. Since we had a group of seven and the restaurant wasn't busy, we moved a few empty chairs over to our table so we could all sit together. Shortly after, a staff member (pictured) came over and told us we weren't allowed to do that. When we asked what the best solution was for our group, his only response was, "You can't." No alternative was offered, and he didn't seem interested in helping us at all. It honestly felt like he was more focused on enforcing some arbitrary rule than on providing good service. To make matters worse, he had AirPods in during this whole interaction -- which might explain why he seemed so disengaged and dismissive. Overall, it left a bad taste in our mouths. We won't be coming back.
My friend and I ate here for a quick breakfast. She recommended it because she had eaten here days before. The service was great. The staff were friendly. The ambiance was good...very yellow...The steak and eggs (5/5) were very good. I had a small portion of that. I also tried another food item: chicken, no waffle but French Toast 2/5. Lastly, I wasn't a fan of the sweet potatoes tater tots (2/5). I replaced it with the regular ones which were more my taste (5/5). The watermelon drink (looks like water) was sooooooooooo good and very refreshing (5/5).
Decent spot! Just moved into the area and checked this restaurant out. They have a lot of different chicken biscuits. Defiantly a crowd pleaser spot that is good for everyone The spicy chicken is good too. But it doesn't come close to a Nashville chicken spot
Was not thrilled by this place. The food was good, but not great. The kitchen should have known we were all sharing and tasting the biscuit sandwiches, so they should have cut them in the kitchen instead of us having to cut them with crappy plastic knives. The biscuits themselves were a little heavy, they tasted good, but were very heavy. Service was fast and friendly, and ambiance was cool. Did not love the sweet potato tots with brûlée marshmallow cream. Seemed more like a dessert than a breakfast. So bad for you.
This place is not to miss if you're looking to grub after a night out. I was shocked to see it was open until 3am. My friends and I pulled up around 2am with no line and all ordered the same thing. I was not expecting a 2am meal to be so GOOD. Skip McDonald's and come here. Their sausage egg and cheddar biscuit is a BETTER Sausage Egg McMuffin. This would be my go to after hours munchie meal if I lived in the area.

With or without the biscuit the food was okay... not much of flavor but it was fine. I would go back again to try other things and just skip the biscuit all together! The service was nice, they have three cash registers with one being at the bar. The menu is pretty big so prepare to pick what you want before going. Nice music and chill vibes lots of seating inside and out. Along with gender neutral restrooms.
Wow! I really loved the food here. This restaurant has a nice cozy environment to have good food with friends. I had the chicken and not a waffle dish which was really good. The service was great and the staff was super friendly. I'd highly recommend coming here.

The cutest restaurant. It feels like a contemporary diner with ordering at the counter then finding your seat. They welcome you when you arrive and assist you with selecting your food and drink items. It was my and my family's first time here and was recommended by a cousin who lives in the city. Our orders consisted of the monte cristo, all turkey; sausage biscuit; taco tater tots; fully loaded tater tots, not bacon; hot honey biscuit. All of it was flavorful! We were not disappointed. at. all. The biscuits are fluffy, baked and toasted to perfection. When you come here, you have to be hungry or you will not even get to the second half of the biscuit sandwich. Throughout our seating and even though this is not a full service restaurant, the servers came and checked on us to be sure we were enjoying our meal and didn't need anything. The cleaned our table once we devoured our food which helped us because we had so much food (lol). Oh! Both my husband and I had the honeysuckle latte. Eh...I am a coffee lover and this just didn't satisfy my tastebuds as much as I would have liked. I would visit again because the service and the food was really good.

Ok, if you are in Deep Ellum, I would recommend this spot if you love a good, delicious, well baked biscuit. There are many options to choose from for a quick breakfast bite. I tried the sausage and gravy and French toast biscuits. Both are very, very good. The gravy was not heavy, and the French toast satisfied my sweet craving, but wasn't sweet on its own, which was perfect with the syrup. They ran out of the coffee, so I had a Michelada, which had well-balanced flavor. I see they have a location in Arlington and Forth Worth. Great easy meal to end my short trip to Dallas.
We stopped at The Biscuit Bar on our way home and it was the perfect place to conquer our hangry tummies! We had the hot hot chicken which was both crispy and flavorful! The biscuit also was very fluffy! I love it when it absorbs the flavors from the bottom and oh did it! We also had the chicken and not a waffle, a fried chicken on a biscuit turned french toast! It was a messy delight! Highly recommend you grab some napkins! Overall, the ambiance was nice, it was a beautiful day to sit outside, and it was a short walk to Deep Ellum, where they had a few markets set up! Highly recommend for any time of day!

Solid spot! Biscuit Bar does exactly what you'd hope--a cozy, satisfying place where biscuits and gravy hit the spot every time. The gravy was rich without being too heavy, and the biscuits had that perfect soft-but-flaky texture. I also tried the chicken, and wow--really good flavor going on there. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and it paired super well with the biscuit base. Great flavor matching overall! Service was friendly and fast, which made the whole experience even better. This place was very busy! It's in deep Ellum so perfect if you're in the area and need a quick bite. I originally ordered the fig and brie biscuit but they were out of Brie and also out of sweet potato tots. The restaurant was pretty unclean, the floors were wet and sticky. So many tables were dirty. When we finally did get our food, the chicken was overcooked and a bit burnt and the tots had a weird after taste, overall not a great experience. read more

Good spot! Recommended to us as a must-visit at the Stockyards. The tots are nice. We were a little disappointed that we couldn't order half regular/half sweet potato. Doesn't seem like it would be too hard to put a little of both in a tray. But the sandwiches we got were great. I got one with chicken and maple syrup on a sweet biscuit I think. It was nice. And we also got the grilled chicken one, which was even better. They also have some fun sodas but we didn't get any. Lots of seating & good vibe inside. Biscuit Bar is one of my breakfast staples in the downtown Dallas area. I make it my duty to visit anytime I'm in town. My favorite menu item is The HOSS. Fast and easy service, and usually not a long wait time even during peak times. I also love the fact that I can enjoy a mimosa carafe for a brunch vibe on weekends when I don't have to worry about work. Highly recommend if you're looking for a quality meal without an obnoxious wait. read more

So good! Since being in Texas the food has been subpar. But The Biscuit Bar is a 10/10! The few servers that assisted us were nice and helpful. We came on a Sunday afternoon so expect a crowd. Seating is limited (81 occupancy) and self seating. A bit hectic for my liking but definitely a place I will frequent. The bar is spacious for the limited seating and accommodating for what I could see. The waitstaff were very efficient and worked steadily. They were on it! The food was ssooooo good. The chicken was flavorful and juicy. A little bigger than I prefer but nonetheless flavorful. My partner's steak was juicy and delicious as well. He truly enjoyed it and his coke. Although it's states with natural sugar, he said it tasted like regular coke lol. Again, 10/10 recommend! Tip: parking is across the street. You have to pay to part which is around $10-12. read more

I am so glad this location exists. I used to have to drive all the way to Plano to experience the deliciousness of The Biscuit Bar. This location helped get me through the first trimester of my pregnancy as I was obsessed with biscuits and gravy at the time. They have the same yummy options as the other location, but this location is better, IMHO. It's in the middle of Deep Ellum, so after you eat, you can walk around and do some exploring. There's outdoor seating, and when I come with my kids, they love to play around the metal artwork they have in the front. I think it's like a robot or something. Every time I go, the staff are always friendly. I recommend you go! read more

Ok so I'm going to start out by saying that I have never been a biscuit person but this spot changed my mind! So much so that I went kit just once but 2x during my stay in Dallas. I tried the bacon and egg which was delish! The next day we tried the tater tots with the cheeseburger biscuit (the fave) and the Brie with fig jam. Everything was amazing! These biscuits are big, flaky and buttery, I'm Not too fond of messy food so I used a fork and knife to eat my food and prevent any messes. Disrespectful staff!! Because I can appreciate the concept and the hard work the owners have put into this place, I will be honest and fair with my review, despite how the staff spoke to me. Being from the south and making my share of homemade biscuits, I had high expectations for a biscuit place that's only open Fri-Sunday. The vibe is cool inside, even offering a bar option for seating and drinks. The biscuit choices were unique and takes a little time to read through and choose. Final product was good, came out quickly, and hot. I would have appreciated real bacon instead of the microwave strips. Fountain drink options were unusual with real sugar options. The tone is set with their neon sign "I love Gluten", see my pic. This place is all about biscuits and what can go in and on them. The staff was helpful in explaining our selection. We started with the Uptown Salad with added chicken. As you can see in my pic, it is rough chopped. The ingredients were fresh and the chicken was moist. I ordered The Hoss. As you can see in my pic, it has Southern fried chicken with Monterrey Jack cheese, bacon B-bar sausage gravy and honey butter. Needless to say, I ate this with a knife and fork. While the biscuit was bland it acted as a great carrier for everything and melded well with the gravy and butter. The chicken was crunchy and nicely fried. The bacon is always good and added a nice touch of salt to the chicken and gravy. For an old fashion fix for hearty food, this place is a contender. read more

I was so excited to come back here. Last time in Dallas this was a huge favorite especially bc our hotel was close by. This time it was a miss for me. Ordered the hot honey biscuit, it was ok. The chicken was not as plump and juicy as I remembered or as I would have expected. It was like a pounded breaded cutlet. Some of the bites were a bit gristle-y and I cut those out. Only half the biscuit had hot honey...it was really runny so most ended up under the biscuit in the basket. I've used a popular brand of hot honey before and I can't say it's ever done that. The biscuit was good though. I wanted a BEC biscuit but it said over easy eggs (I usually like a folded scramble). I didn't know it was an option until my friend already ordered theirs and the counter staff asked them about which one they'd prefer. Maybe I didn't see it, but it would have been helpful to indicate they'd do eggs in different styles. My friend's BEC had some "cheese" on it that looked like canned nacho/liquid cheese or something? Can't say I've seen that outside of a ballpark outing. The staff were still very polite and the place was clean and there was adequate seating. This is my second trip to The Biscuit Bar at the edge of Deep Ellum in Dallas. My first trip was about 4 years ago (a few moths pre-pandemic.) At that time, I was overwhelmed by the ambiance and the flavors. So yummy! Today it seemed a little more tired. It was still busy but the shiny new had dulled a little from my vantage point. Here are a few reasons why... Last time I got something chicken based. The chicken is bomb! I should have stuck with that. The sweet potato tots were just as good as I remembered. They'd would benefit from some sort of chipotle aioli or honey mustard, instead of just ranch. Today I had a hankering for a basic BEC biscuit. The bacon was super thin and reminded me of the microwave bacon my mom buys. The cheese was melty like thick nacho cheese and didn't have much flavor. I had the egg scrambles instead of over easy, and it was made well. The biscuit itself was still really good! Today we sat at the bar. There is a decent selection of beers and breakfast bevvies. The coffee comes from a touch screen machine, so be aware it's not craft made. Lastly, the parking situation is rough. There are a few garages close by but they start at $7/hr. If anyone has tips for free parking in the area, please share! I don't mind a walk as long as it's safe. This may be my last stop here for a while. There are so many good looking options in the area. I want to check out something new (with parking) so I can take my time and take it all in. read more

I've been wanting to check out this spot for a while now... Was leaving the downtown area and thought I would pop in and grab some food... I ordered sweet potato tater tots and my tater tots were burnt. I ordered regular tater tots for my sister and you could tell they were cooked in the burnt grease because they had a burnt aftertaste. Ordered the Montecristo biscuit and the biscuit had a burnt taste as well. You could see black stuff on the meat and the biscuit like it was cooked in a burnt skillet. We were missing a biscuit sandwich. I didn't get a printed copy of my receipt otherwise I would be emailing corporate office. I'll never visit this place again. Wasted $35. read more

The Biscuit Bar serves up mouthwateringly delicious food, perfect for satisfying savory or sweet cravings! My family recently visited this location for breakfast and loved each item we ordered. The cooks make everything to perfection. The staff acts friendly and provides great service. The restaurant offers a casual atmosphere with fun decor and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I highly recommend for anytime time of day. My family plans to go back to try something different each time we order! Note: 1. You park in a paid lot across from the building. 2. I would give this place 1000 stars if I could. Such a cute spot in Downtown Dallas, and very quick and fun. The cashier was great at recommendations, and was incredibly friendly. Food: We ordered a little bit of everything simply because we couldn't choose. Lots of options and small shareable servings let's you try it all! Two biscuits per tray. Tots were normal, but the biscuits...THAT IS WHY THIS IS THE BISCUIT PLACE. So original and so delicious! And yes, split the bottle of bestie mimosa. read more

What's the parking situation? From the map it doesn't look like there are parking options in the area besides street parking, which I don't do.
In addition to street parking, there is a public parking lot directly across the street. There are a few more public lots within a 1-2 block radius.
Are reservations recommended? If not, what is the average wait on a Sunday morning?
No reservations although you can order pick up! And the wait is about 20 plus minutes in line and the seating is first come first serve so it's tight.
