This place is amazing! The indoor seat is limited to booths and bar seating, but there's a lot of outdoor seating. The prices are amazing, the staff is very friendly, and the food was delicious!

My sandwich tasted fresh frys where crispy not sure how much they charged to add fries but seems a like a normal portion paid 16$ all total

Once again, a good morning at The Dallas Diner. Really, what made our experience is the wait staff. Everyone is so kind. Bringing my mom in is a bit of a challenge and they were so patient with us. My coffee cup was NEVER empty and our water glasses were kept full. I ordered the migas and it was good! Other orders at our table; tacos, pork chop, pancakes, breakfast burrito... all good! This is just a good, solid place for hospitality, tasty diner food and bottomless coffee. We will be back.

Solid breakfast game with all the typical breakfast foods one would expect in Dallas including basics and TexMex options. Today we tried something completely different ...lunch. Enchiladas verdes were perfectly fiery with homemade salsa verde and the beans and rice were "old school" tasty. Chicken finger basket was the other order for our party which came out crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside with a side a hand cut fries. Service was on point today. Sometimes they can get a little "in the weeds" when everyone comes at once like on Sundays, but it's worth the wait and all those people clearly think so too. East Dallas neighborhood staple. This place has been around for over 30 years in some form. A few years ago, new management made lots of improvements in the decor. But some of it needs some refreshing now. Overall, it's a great neighborhood place with lots of regulars including me and my hubby.

What a nice find. Leaving the Social Security office, my beautiful life companion stated she was hungry and asked if we could stop for a bite. I had no idea where to stop. There are no shortages of places to eat in the MetroMess. I was not familiar with the area, so I headed home. I soon realized the standard route would not take me anywhere near a restaurant. I made a quick right and headed to a different part of town. I was surprised by the turn I would have normally taken and ended up heading in the opposite direction. Within a block, the Dallas Diner appeared out of nowhere--of course, it was somewhere. Let's give these guys a shot; I told Tish. She agreed, and it was a done deal. The place was small. It was not crowded. It was a little late for breakfast and a little early for lunch. Our waitress made us be welcome. I liked the feel of the place. Knowing Spanish would be a good thing but not necessary. I think the menu is diverse. I selected a hash and egg breakfast. Tish ordered the chicken fried steak. The food came promptly. It was good, old fashion diner food. Tish said her CFS was not the best she'd ever eaten, but it was tasty and well worth the price. One way or the other, it was a thumbs up. I enjoyed my hash and eggs very much. Not every dining establishment serves hash for breakfast. I considered Dallas Diner to be a go-to for breakfast. We'll have to come back for a lunch and see how that is. The people next to us had a lunch plate, and it looked delicious. I bet their lunches are equally as good as their breakfast. I say, give them a shot. I think you'll like the place.

If you want to feel like you're at a family home- then stop by Dallas Diner! They'll treat you just like family with some great service. The food comes out quickly and very delicious. It is smaller on the inside- but they have great outdoor seating areas as well.

The food was so-so. Expected a traditional diner but more of a Mexican diner. Service was just "okay".

Today, I had a doctor's appointment nearby and looked forward to a return visit. Unfortunately my food was disappointing. I ordered 3 eggs, cinnamon roll and coffee. The best part of the meal was the coffee which was tasty and fresh. The eggs were good. Nothing special but hot and tasty. However, the cinnamon roll - which is the reason I came here - was tasteless and very stale. I won't be back. I can get coffee and average eggs anywhere. If they are serving stale pastries, the place is no longer special.

After a minute or two, our waitress welcomed us and seated us in the back of the restaurant. It was a little surprising since there weren't many customers and there were plenty of open tables and booths up front where everyone else was sitting. That said, our waitress was wonderful. She was friendly, attentive, and made our dining experience enjoyable from start to finish. I ordered the chicken fried steak with two over-medium eggs and hash browns, along with a side of biscuits and gravy. The coffee was pretty average, but that's something I've come to expect from many restaurants. Unfortunately, the food itself was disappointing. My eggs were undercooked, the chicken fried steak lacked seasoning and flavor, and the hash browns were also pretty bland. The standout, however, was the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were buttery and soft on the inside with perfectly crisp edges, and the gravy was delicious. They were easily the best thing we ordered. While I wasn't impressed with the rest of the meal, I'd honestly come back just for the biscuits and gravy. They were absolutely worth it.
