The best chocolate shake in dallas
Meggie W.

The best breakfast diner in Dallas!!! The service and food is always consistently and exceptionally excellent. Their coffee is great! The shakes are incredible! Eggs and beef are always cooked as requested. The menu offers a large selection of options for breakfast as well as lunch. Highly recommend. We absolutely love this place!

This was a cute old-fashioned diner, and our waiter was very kind, but the food was very underwhelming. It was in need of major seasoning. I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger and jt tasted like the patty was unsalted. The other guests with me said their food was also just ok. A better diner option is maple leaf diner in carrolton.

Service was really great and food came out fast! My lemon with tea was pretty funny but I enjoy lots of lemon juice so I didn't mind too much. My apple pancakes were so delicious and filled me up completely! My friend's food was also good according to them

We had an excellent brunch here on July 4th! It was packed, but we got seated after a 15 min wait and service was great despite how busy it was. I also love all the sauces, syrups, and jams at each table. We got the blueberry waffle, and I loved the waffle but did not like the blueberry sauce, I wish it had real blueberries instead. I loved the biscuits-they were buttery and soft. I also liked the Ranchero omelete, but wish the salsa had more flavor. The hashbrowns were perfectly crispy! Overall, we had an excellent meal here.

Great, classic diner. Felt like a hole in the wall restaurant. The food was delicious, and service was friendly and inviting. I got the eggs Benedict which was delicious.

Hubby said "it's lunch time and there is this diner that I know is right in tune with your vintage living heart"! So off we went to the Original Market Diner! It's pretty small so adjust your schedule and time to accommodate a possible wait. We were there for an early lunch around 11:30 and zero wait time. The original part of the diner only has a counter and just a few booths and tables but it's so cute! Our waitress obviously is a long term employee who was knowledgeable, friendly and fast. She even apologized that my cup of coffee was drained before she filled it. I laughed and no problem I kind of gulped it down pretty quickly today. Ordered the iced cinnamon roll. French toast and hubby ordered the wild pig omelette with toast and hashbrowns. It was delish! Super cool vibe, great staff and good food. Be advised though it is a little pricier than other places, but it is also near downtown and Maple. You will see a wonderful mix of Dallasites from blue collar to white collar enjoying the food. So if you're looking for old-school diner with upscale food, this is your place!

We came here after day one of martial arts state finals. It was right next to our hotel. Figured why not? Overall our experience was great. First the place felt like a part out of a horror film. Not a typical classic diner, but a dark classic diner. Like twilight zone. I don't know, that's what the midget said? I thought it was cool. A little rough, but it kinda was cool. Ok onto the food. The service was ok. I think it's because we went right before they closed, and we felt a bit rushed. We kept it simple, and just had burgers and the jalapeño mozzarella sticks. Let's start with the appetizer. They were actually good. They mixed the jalapeño flavor into the breading. You can see the jalapeño on the outside of the sticks! Great idea and it works! Wish they were actually spicy. Still good! He had the bacon cheeseburger, and I had the jalapeño cheeseburger. The buns were great, the beef could've used more seasoning. They give you tons of fries! Where they were creative with the mozzarella sticks, my jalapeño burger was just a burger with pickled Jalapeño slices from a can thrown on top. Not creative at all, and a little disappointing. Like a reach to charge more. We had dessert, hard not too when you are sitting next to the case. We asked for a recommendation and were told carrot cake and banana cream pie. They were both great, but the carrot cake was by far better. Not too sweet, not too much carrot. Just right. The other pie was just ok. Also, a HUGE plus is they had stevia at the table! I wish more restaurants had it! We will come back when we are back, to try more of the menu!

Take a step back in time to the early 1950's at the Original Market Diner. While the decor fits the era this place was built and adds to the ambiance of the place, the prices are far from those of the 1950's. Example, just under $17.00 for an omelette! The food was just ok, not great and certainly not bad. I ordered a Ham & Cheese Omelette that came with Hash Browns and Biscuits and Gravy. We also tried the Pancakes. I enjoyed the light and fluffy biscuits and the hashed browns the most. My grandma used to say "some pancakes need a little more syrup than others". These were pancakes that needed extra syrup! The service was great, absolutely nothing to be critical or uncomplimentary there about. Our server Laura was fantastic.

Cute little diner. The food was delicious and cooked the way I ordered it. The portion size was more than I could eat and price wasn't bad. Service was great. Food came out quickly and hot.

Local classic, I've lived within walking distance of this diner for the longest time, but only recently ventured in. Walking in, you feel the classic diner vibe. A mix of booths, tables, and the kitchen side bar. Low indoor lighting but plenty of windows allowing natural light in. The location has plenty of foot traffic but no wait. There's a melodic comfort hearing the kitchen, and others conversing. It's an inviting place. My waitress was very attentive and friendly. She was quick to bring me my water and coffee, not long after taking my order. I ordered the classic eggs with sausage, hashbrowns, and biscuits & gravy. The food arrived fresh with my eggs cooked to perfection. The sausage was a little dry but still delicious. The biscuits were fresh and the perfect sponge to soak up the yolks. The food was as you'd expect from a diner hitting the spot after a long night out. I'm eager to come back and try some of their other options. Highly recommend!

Chicken and dumplings
Randy V.

For the meatloaf sandwich with fries and my wife got the chicken dumplings. My sandwich had a very good taste and my fries were perfectly hot and crispy. The chicken dumpling was flavorful for a dumpling. The chicken and dumpling came with corn bread and yeast rolls. The corn bread was a little dry but the yeast rolls were on point. The ambiance reminded me of a 1950's dinner. The waitress made sure that we never ran out of tea. Only complaint was that I got full before I had a chance to get some of the pie in the case. Maybe next time.

Great vibes, reminds me of Seinfeld. It's like how a diner looks. But the food was just alright, good portions though.

And it was! Had a spicy kick as you'd expect. It was very busy when I was there so there was a bit of a wait for orders to be taken and for the food to come out however, again, it was pretty packed so I'm not gonna begrudge anyone some delays when things are busy. I sat outside as it was a nice evening albeit slightly chilly and I didn't have a sweatshirt or jacket but that's my own fault. I'd definitely go again but I would also definitely get something other than the Hot Bastard - not because there was anything wrong with the Hot Bastard it's just the are so many good looking burgers on the menu I want to diversify!!!

They seemed to have a good amount of parking but thankfully it was walking distance away from my hotel. Order-to-Entree: 17 Minutes I easily found a table for two and there's ample indoor and outdoor seating. We got our beers pretty quickly, and our main courses came decently quickly as well. The burger was juicy and the sweet potato fries were solid. They've got an amazing diverse burger menu and I can see why it's a local favorite. Would definitely come back again.

Fancy spot! You wouldn't mind if I review it, would you? Eating out in Dallas can get really…read moreexpensive, really quick. Often times after it's all said & done, you wonder - was that worth it? Thankfully, that is NOT the experience I had at Haywire! I ate here on August 9th, 2025 and enjoyed everything about it. I was with a large party but would love to return for a more intimate experience. On this Saturday, my younger cousin was graduating from Parker University so I was in town for the weekend. At around 1pm, I was one of the first to arrive at the restaurant. Unfortunately the parking is a bit confusing. There was construction being done on the same street when I went but there's a parking garage for customers that's difficult to navigate AND the elevator that connects wasn't operating at the time which was an issue for many (but not me, I got a good spot & walked). My party hadn't all arrived yet so I took a gander. Upon entering the tall doors, the space breathes southwestern elegance: wooden structure, leather seating, separate dining areas with highlighted ranch-style art. The abundance of space gives it an open-concept feel. The lighting fixtures are modern, the space was dim but not too low, with an option to utilize the large windows also. I was quiet impressed at the overall presentation. When my party did arrive, I wanted to keep it simple so I ordered the Chicken Cobb Salad and a Hibiscus Haze with Vodka. The table shmoozed as we ate some of the appetizers: the Crab Dip & Green Tomatoes, both amazing. The food did take some time but, considering it was 10-12 of us, that's expected. The Hibiscus Haze was splendid: smooth & flavorful, a great concoction. Cobb salads are usually pretty thick but this one was HEARTY. It came in a large bowl stuffed with the all the toppings. The dressing it was tossed with was well balanced but could've used a tad bit more. With some pepper & a little ranch, I was set! I defeated the salad but it also left me stuffed to the gills. Satisfying meal that I would order again! There are tons of restaurants to dine at in Dallas & sometimes you never know which is worth your time. Despite the inconvenience of parking, I'd bet my bottom dollar that this is a good place to eat. Whether you want a fine dining experience, it's a special occasion or just want a good drink with a meal, Haywire has enough to satisfy all interests.

Knowledgeable about the menu & great recommendations. Kev was a joy to have as our server. The food is amazing & love the ambiance of the restaurant. My only complaint...we came in early Saturday prior to Stars game. The restaurant wasn't busy at all. We were asked if we had a reservation. We did not, the restaurant wasn't busy at all. We were asked to wait. Waited maybe 5-10mins. No biggie, A lot of open tables were available for immediate sit down. Again that wasn't a big deal. I had asked for a booth & wanted to sit in front room. The hostess said no a problem. She handed us off to a younger hostess and she took us to a table. I told her I had requested a booth. In the front room only 3 tables were occupied. I pointed out the booth and she said that's for party of 6. However, we could have the 1/2 table/booth. Made absolutely no sense because that was for a party of 6 as well. I made this comment & she just stared at me without saying a word. I didn't want to seem difficult and took the table as she just walked away. Kev was confused as we were. No good communication skills. It was an awkward encounter. The restaurant wasn't busy at all & never was whole time there. Kev wasn't sure why she didn't move us a requested & was puzzled himself. However i apologized to him & explained I wasn't trying to be difficult, but prefer booth sitting and most times we will wait for one. We left at 1:45p and restaurant was no busier than when we arrived. Reservation/Booth or not! I guess saying all of this, your front staff need to have more people skills when dealing with your customers. They are the face and first point of contact. Again Kev was amazing & food was outstanding!

This review is long overdue but hey as long as I get it done…read more We were luckily referred to Harwood Arms by the front desk of our hotel at check-in, which was conveniently within walking distance (~10 mins) and has a kitchen that's open late which was nice after a day of travel, later check-in and being hungry. The bar was warm, cozy and decked out in Christmas decor (and cute bathroom wallpaper). Good beer selection, great food (I literally ate the tikka masala twice during our couple day trip) and they were conveniently open on Thanksgiving after the game and a fun shot wheel, which was both fun to partake in and fun to watch others do.
