What stood out to me most was the bartenders: they were clearly having a blast with the customers while crafting drinks, and you can really see the passion they have for what they do! Food: They don't serve full meals here, but they do have desserts available if you want something sweet. Parking: Parking right out front can be a bit tricky, but it's always worth taking a quick loop to check for street parking first. Full review: I made a reservation for Ginger's at 9.30pm on a Saturday night. We arrived around 9.20pm and there was no line yet. We were able to go right in but had to wait until our reservation time for the table. We got a drink from the bar, where the other patrons were friendly and the bartenders were fast and very attentive despite it already being fairly busy. Our table was ready right at 9.30, and it was great. Two large comfy chairs with a small cocktail table in between. Cozy enough for conversation despite the place being fairly busy. It was much busier by the time we left (there was a line outside at that point), but our cozy spot was great regardless of how crowded the place got. As far as the aesthetics go, the bar is beautiful and the discreet entrance gives it the speakeasy feel. The music was great, and a handful of patrons danced in the space (which just added to the lively ambience). The drinks are top notch. I only had two. The Ginger's Old Fashioned is a solid old fashioned but nothing to rave about. However, the Diamond in the Rough is amazing and unlike any other bourbon cocktail I've had. I'd go back for that alone (and would definitely the Barrel-Aged Black Manhattan the next time). The only real downside to the bar is the restrooms. There was a slight wait for the men's (no big deal), but the wait for the women's was pretty crazy with a line outside. We let women start alternating to use the men's because we felt a little bad for them. read more

GINGERS The aesthetic of the location alone gets a 9.5/10 from me. It was absolutely beautiful, although I do think it could stand to be a little larger or limit the number of people allowed inside. There was a somewhat long wait just to get inside, and once we were in, the wait didn't really make sense. I'm used to having to wait at bars that have tables and servers, but Gingers had both while also being wall-to-wall people. Even though we ordered directly from the bar, we still waited nearly 20 minutes just to be able to place our order. The drinks themselves were really good and had great presentation. They were super pretty and definitely gave the aesthetic they were going for. That said, a lot of the experience did feel like paying to sit with the cool kids. I wish they would encourage people who were no longer drinking to give up their seats, especially when there were people still actively patronizing the bar who had nowhere to sit. There were multiple tables where people weren't even drinking, while everyone else was basically standing room only. I did appreciate that they have a dress code on the weekends and don't allow streetwear. Thankfully, I was dressed appropriately, but I did see them ask one young lady to remove her hat. Overall, I think I would go back, but probably on a weekday when it's hopefully less crowded. After about 20 minutes the hostess came and offered us a table for 1 hour as the table was reserved. I don't know if they never showed or they sat them somewhere else, but we stayed 2.5 hours. The staff were nice. Our server was great! I wish I could remember his name. I think it was Eric or Edmond maybe anyway he talked us into some really good drinks. The Diamond in the Rough, Velvet Vice, Keizo ???( can't remember, but it's at the bottom of the page and sounds Japanese). There is another that was really good also. I had highly recommended Gingers to them but after my encounter with one of the female bartenders I can no longer recommend this place. Please make sure you are vigilant and checking your receipt, this specific bartender knowingly charged me incorrectly for 3 cocktails and was rude when I mentioned this discrepancy. Not only was I charged incorrectly, she went back and forth with me saying that I ordered a drink with tequila when I ordered a drink with gin.
