Chicken parm
Marley P.

Absolutely delectable!!! The Caesar salad was one of the best I've had! Super light dressing with a citrus tang. I asked for it chopped up instead of the whole leaf and it was amazing. The fried ravioli was crispy but not too heavy and the filling was fresh complimented the homemade light pasta. The only thing I wish was the the chicken on the chicken vodka parm was a touch crispier. The vodka sauce was creamy with a slight spice and the pasta was perfectly cooked. The cosmopolitan to drink was fabulous! Not to sweet not to tangy! Can't wait to come back and try other dishes!!

Barsotti's is a beautiful restaurant. But what it especially beautiful is the flavor in their food! We ordered calamari. It was hot and crispy and, yet, light also. We got bread and ricotta. The ricotta was perfection! I got linguini and clams... it tasted exactly like what I had in Naples when I was a child. My daughter got the chicken Parmesan. She looooved the crispiness of the chicken. And for desert? Cannoli. True Italian cannoli!! Yummm. Definitely not the thick awful things I usually find in Italian restaurants. We will be back!!!

Barsotti's in the oak lawn neighborhood of Dallas has some really good Italian food. We went on a Saturday night and managed to sit at the bar. I would advise getting a reservation if you are wanting a table. The service was great and all the staff members were super friendly and had stories to tell and would easily make conversation. The food was even better. We started off with the chilled crab claws. The claws were already pulled and you didn't have to do a lot to get the meat out of them. Our two entrees we got was the Ravioli and tortellini vodka. Both came out in a delicious sauce and had plenty of flavor to the dish. Reasonable priced as well. For dessert we had to try the cannoli. You get one vanilla and then one chocolate. The vibe of the restaurant has an old 1920s vibe to the establishment. When I'm in Dallas next this would be a place I would go back to.

Came to celebrate my birthday but was disappointed by the food and service inconsistency. Overall I would not recommend this place and probably will not return Calamari was over fried and some parts were very dry. All the food was a little overly salty Arugula salad was overdressed and so oily. The potatoes I wished were crispy. Some of the chicken in the salad was a little rubbery Chicken parm was pretty good. Could be a little more moist, but I appreciated the size. Overall flavors were good. Service was meh and now reading reviews it said people got complimentary bread. We did not get offered that nor something for my birthday! Seems some people get good service and others don't. Overall there are so many other great Italian restaurants in Dallas and this just isn't it. You'd be better off going to a chain like North Italia

Updating my review just to share a photo of the food! Their chicken parm is amazing, some of the best. My husband got the Casino pasta, which was also a 10/10. Great ambiance for a Sunday dinner.

Went to dinner here with my daughter and her boyfriend when we were in Dallas. Outstanding service. Love the old school Italian restaurant vibe and it was spotless inside. The calamari was delicious and perfectly cooked. The entrees were perfectly prepared and delicious also. Nice size portions for the price. I would definitely go back to this restaurant.

Barsotti beats... Facchini. Terrill. Carbone. I hail from Philadelphia where good Italian food is at every corner. Barsotti is my new go to. Their vodka sauce is amazing. Their drinks amazing. I've only sat at the bar. Please don't discover this amazing gem and make it too crowded.

Boyfriend loved it, me not so much. We were seated and the first table right by the front door, and the draft made it not so much pleasurable experience. The steak pasta was rich and satisfying but I found my chicken dish with vodka pasta overpowered by basil. I will give this place another try and update my review if my experience changes. The waiter was very accommodating and personable, and the place was packed for a Sunday evening. I think I just didn't have the luck of the draw this day.

Barsotti's was decent to me. As a person who consumes Italian food frequently, I can't say that I was 100% impressed. Also, add being a NJ native ;) I made Resy reservations for a party of 4 at 7:45 pm on a weekday so I was slightly surprised to see how packed it was when we arrived for dinner. You walk into a nice, thoughtfully designed space and as someone who loves a good ambiance, this place delivered. The hostess was pleasant and seated us pretty quickly. When we got to our table, we waited about 10 minutes just to have our drinks, which wasn't too bad. Our waiter was enthusiastic as we told him it was our first time dining here. We ordered the fried calamari and fried ravioli -- the calamari wasn't as tender as I prefer... I found it to be a little overcooked and lacking flavor. However, the fried ravioli was delicious, the only one that I would've made there was to incorporate more cheese. For drinks, there was wine ordered, a mocktail, which was a little bitter, deep elum IPA, and a Shirley Temple. After our apps, our waiter asked if we would like any bread because having our meals, which I found odd because if it's complimentary, isn't that something that's offered once we sit down? Now, onto the entrees. There were 4 guests, so 4 things ordered. I have the tortellini vodka and I'd rate that about a 3 out of 5, although a good size portion, I felt like flavor was lacking. There was a lot of sauce but nothing stuck to the pasta. When I took my first bite, I didn't do that dance (IYKYK). However, all the other guests raved about their food. I did taste some of the steak and chicken parm, which were both so yummy (and full of flavor). Since we were celebrating a birthday, we received a slice of chocolate cake. I didn't have any since by then I had loaded myself on the delicious complimentary bread, but the birthday girl and my husband mentioned that it was delicious! The main reason for my 3-star review is nothing really stood out to me the way I thought it would. Again, as someone who grew up in NJ and was around a lot of the Italian culture and influence, I've had my fair share of Italian dishes. Despite my review, the other folks in my party mentioned that they really enjoyed it. I would be willing to visit again and maybe order something different next time.

Chicken Parmigiana

We came for dinner on Saturday night at 7:00. The atmosphere is comfortable and cozy. We ended up celebrating a few things so we ordered from their great Italian wine list. To start, we ordered fried ravioli, which is great to share. For entrees, we all ordered the Chicken Parmigiana. The pasta is great but the start of the show is the huge chicken parmigiana. I ate all of mine but there is definitely enough to take some home. Our service was also perfect. She was attentive, but also didn't come around too much.

Shrimp Scampi Linguine

What a find! This is the best Italian food I've had outside of Italy. I wish I could get this level of food and service locally because it's phenomenal. Formerly Carbones, the southern Italian flavors are welcome and prominent. MB and I lunched here on a Sunday afternoon before heading to the airport. I was immediately drawn to the cozy interior and beautiful bar, but we sat at a table by the windows for people watching. I had the Shrimp Scampi Linguine after joking with our server that scampi is shrimp in Italian. The Shrimp Shrimp Linguine. (I'm here all week, folks!) The house-made linguine came with fat, perfectly cooked shrimp and an out-of-this-world sauce. I was able to eat all the shrimp and maybe 1/3 of the massive serving of linguine. Probably not that massive but we old people have smaller appetites! MB ordered the Creste Sunday Gravy, a delightfully spicy sauce with sausage served over tender creste paste, a unique extruded pasta that looks like little rollercoasters and holds the sauce in its texture. I highly recommend you get to Barsottis ASAP and manga!

my parents and i went for dinner on monday @ 6pm and we got seated right away. i wanted to try this place out because i saw it on the michelin guide and it definitely lived up to the recognition! my parents wanted to just split an entree because they cannot eat very large meals so we ordered 3 apps instead to make up for it. calamari: pretty predictable taste but very yummy. the marinara sauce is greattt garlic bread&ricotta: they make their ricotta and mozzarella in house every day. i will be dreaming about this ricotta. i don't really like store-bought ricotta and actually have never tried homemade before but wow, i don't think i could ever go back to the store for ricotta haha bruschetta: show stopper tomatoes. the tomatoes were so perfectly marinated(?) and it was amazing. my parents were really impressed with the flavor of the tomatoes and the pairing w the crunchy bread. pastas: really good. a lot of food. they handmake their noodles and you can tell because the texture of them is so nice and also perfectly cooked. the shrimp scampi on linguine made it taste really interesting because we've only ever had scampi w angel hair. really good flavor of seafood in the scampi. again, the tomato sauce in the spaghetti is insane. idk what they do to the tomatoes but i really love it. cannoli: i would fight someone for another bite. we ordered the original cannoli at the restaurant and again the ricotta mixture but this time sweet with cinnamon was SO amazing. i don't even like cinnamon and i was licking the plate. we also ordered the tiramisu cannoli for takeout and wow it was so good too. really really good. overall, the restaurant was so nice! food, ambiance, service, really great. i loved that the lighting was not super dark, not super loud inside and the interior wall with the frames made it feel like so italian. i will definitely be coming back again.

Food was FABULOUS. Service was OUTSTANDING. Ambiance is solid...but no background music so definitely the sounds of a restaurant. Still good.

SERVICE: At…read moreapproximately 6:15pm on Thursday, March 5, 2026, we stopped by Il Bracco. The restaurant was very full, and we only planned to quickly grab a decaf cappuccino and some bread at the bar. I am 36 weeks pregnant. There was one open seat at the bar, and the two people sitting on either side were with other guests and did not appear to be leaving anytime soon. I asked the gentleman who had just stood up if he had closed his tab, and he confirmed that he had. Based on that, and the hostess directing us toward the bar, I sat down while my partner stood next to me. When we went to order a cappuccino, the male bartender immediately told us the bar had a waitlist and that the seat was "reserved." There was no reserved sign, and the guest had literally just vacated the seat. I explained that I was only grabbing a quick cappuccino and would not be there long. I even said, "No problem, I won't be here long," and made my intentions clear. Instead of working with that, he told me he would have to ask me to get up. I would have been perfectly happy to move once the party arrived or if the seat was actually needed. However, the interaction was handled abruptly and without basic courtesy or flexibility. What makes this more disappointing is that we had actually enjoyed the restaurant a few nights earlier. During that visit, Ashley took care of us and she was an absolute gem--warm, attentive, and exactly what great hospitality should feel like. I would highly recommend sitting with her. I had even met one of the investors during that visit. While I don't frequent Il Bracco regularly, I do know many people in the Dallas hospitality industry, including owners and operators, and situations like this are exactly the kinds of service breakdowns we discuss so they can avoid them in their own restaurants. Unfortunately, after this interaction, I will not be returning. The bartender's approach to guest interaction and basic hospitality needs serious attention. Good luck guys!

To begin, I would not recommend using their valet even though it is free, because they seem to only have one person working it so it takes forever for them to take your car. We had to wait for over 10 minutes for the valet guy to come back to his post, meanwhile I'm stopped in the middle of the street with car having to drive around me. It would have been much faster to just park in their garage which is also free for I think 2 hours once validated by the restaurant. The valet also didn't have a system for keeping track of the cars, no key tag, number to text, or anything, he just asked for my name and said he would remember me. That didn't seem like the safest process to me. Not to mention, when we picked our car up he just gave me the key to drive it off from the space myself instead. Valet aside, the restaurant was really nice inside and had good balance of not quite fine dining, but also not too casual, which is what I was looking for. They also decorated for the holidays and the red bows overhanging were a nice touch. As an Italian restaurant, they had plenty of pasta options however our entire table decided to go with the waitress recommended Pollo Parmesan. I think we all were interested in the fact that it contained both red and white sauce, so it allowed us to have the best of both worlds. I wasn't sure how it would mix well at first, but it ending up complementing each other nicely. Lastly, the ladies also appreciate that they provided a bag hanger for their purses. I would like to come back to try their other dishes, I just won't waste time using valet again.

But what really made the experience unforgettable was our server, Leigh. She went above and beyond in every way possible. She didn't just explain the menu- she told a story. From the background of the owner to the details of each dish, you could tell how much care and passion went into everything. She checked in at all the right moments, made sure we had everything we needed, and genuinely cared that we loved each bite. And the food... wow. It transported me to Italy. We started with the arugula salad with bresaola dressed with lemon - super refreshing - paired with the arancini. The bread dipped in the sauce was insane: perfectly crisp on the outside, with rich, flavorful rice inside. We shared the triangoli ravioli stuffed with ricotta and topped with mushroom, hazelnut, and parmesan, and it was incredible. The hazelnut added the perfect crunch and nutty depth. Then came the tagliatelle with wagyu bolognese--perfectly balanced, rich, and made even better with clearly homemade pasta. We finished savory dishes with the veal saltimbocca, and I swear it made me feel like I was sitting in Rome. The sauce was incredible, and the sage really brought everything together. But the true showstoppers? Dessert. My Italian grandma said the cannolo was the best she's ever had - and that says everything. Light, crisp, and not overly sweet. Then the chocolate dessert with olive oil and sea salt... I went in for two bites and somehow finished the entire thing without realizing. Easily the best chocolate dessert I've ever had. This place is out of this world. Would order all of these dishes again. In a city full of restaurants, this is one I will come back to every single time I'm in Dallas. Absolutely 5 stars. Brava.

Our server, Luca P., basically ignored us all night. We never got the complimentary bread until the end of the meal when we finally got tired of waiting and asked the busser for it (the Italian bread was delicious, fresh out of the oven, but the 3 accompanying butters were underwhelming). But if someone had come to check on us, my husband would have ordered more food (or Luca should have mentioned the small portion when he ordered). Since it's supposed to be a fine dining establishment, we expected to have a manager check on us. That never happened. This was NOT a $360 dining experience (which was our bill for the worst customer service we've ever experienced).
