Amazing experience. Shoutout to our server, Matthew, for above and beyond stellar service throughout our dining experience! I had their fresh Jumbo Prawns, 6 pieces. Huge and delicious! Butternut Squash Soup, the greatest I've ever had, very flavorful! Their beet salad was crisp, fresh, and mouthwatering! Their Margarita Mediterranean didn't disappoint! Excellent mixologist! For dessert, it's not on their menu, seasonal only, French Berry Cobbler. This baby was served hot with vanilla ice cream, bursting with berry flavors. I highly recommend you try them all! Playing very hip music in the background, it felt like a Mediterranean vibe, overall. I had a phenomenal experience! Yes, I'm returning! Highly recommended! Cheers and Enjoy!!! 5 Stars and Beyond!!!

5 stars I had such a lovely experience at Bistro 31! The atmosphere is elegant and upscale, perfect for a date night or a chic lunch with friends. I started with the Caesar salad, which was fresh, crisp, and well-dressed--not too heavy, just right. For my main, I had the sea bass, and it was absolutely divine--perfectly cooked, flaky, and full of flavor. They offer valet parking, which is super convenient, but you can also find parking in the shopping center if you prefer. The service was attentive without being overbearing, and everything about the vibe felt elevated yet comfortable. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a classy dining spot in Dallas! Cute little spot in Highland Park Village. Had an hour to myself and drove from my hotel for a drink and dessert. Service was excellent and my food was delicious.

Bistro 31 is located right in the heart of Highland Park Village. It's a small eatery with a lot of natural lighting and a local clientele. We started with the Mediterranean octopus. I had the wild caught salmon which came with asparagus and vegetables. It was quite good. My friend had a Caesar salad and she liked it. It's not a very large restaurant, but it is quite quaint. Service was attentive. Overall, I enjoyed our lunch and would come back again.

ANTHONY J IS THE BEST. He took care of us the entire time. His energy is just very captivating and it made us have a great time. It was super packed the weekend that we went and he still found time to check on us and make sure we were doing ok. Great service from him. Would definitely go back to see him!

The food, service, and ambience were all fantastic. The services provided by the professional management, Michael, and staff, Stephen, are the main reasons that we keep coming back. The old world elegance is a rare thing, and we value their focus to make sure that everything about the dining experience is excellent. I highly recomend Bistro 31!

Tuna Tartare, Grilled Salmon, Olive Oil Cake I had never been to the private room here before this visit, and it was gorgeous! There is a stairway to it on the outside of the restaurant and the room itself is massive and spacious with a full service bar. The food was not up to its usual par, unfortunately, possibly due to how many of us were present. The tuna tartare was very much just okay. The grilled salmon was great and tender. The olive oil cake was pretty good but nothing to write home about

I attended a bridesmaids luncheon upstairs in the lounge today and it was absolutely perfect. Appetizers were delicious. Drinks were great and lunch was superb. Service was amazing.

Amazing! In Dallas for a few days to visit with my favorite niece and she brought us here! Wow! Definitely a place to see and be seen! Watch out for the Pear Pressure, it's fire!

Took myself on a lunch date to Bistro 31 June 2024 Monday Reservation made online for 11:45 (12:15, my preferred, wasn't available) Parking: Around 11:45, parking was perfect. Valet is available for the shopping center as well. Around 12:45, parking was still available but it's busier during that time. Staff: Perfect. I thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality. Ambiance: cozy, light chatter, well lit. Accommodations: ladies, they bring you a purse rack for your bag. Food: I am a rigatoni girlie. The server told me to get it with blackened chicken, so I decided to do that for the $9 upcharge. I would explore other options on the menu next time, but 3.9/5. Price: fair for the area. $40 for just the pasta, really. I had water to drink. $10 for the tip. Cute little restaurant- would return.

Bistro 31 - a beautiful eatery in a beautiful environment! Parking: I guess it depends on the time. We went on a Monday evening via uber and saw about 20% parking capacity available. It is in an outdoor mall of sorts so if you circle around a few times you'll find parking! Drinks: a great wine selection from Europe, California and Australia! Food: we had so many things but not many pictures as we were enjoying g the vibe. The Dover Sole was my favorite. They said it could serve two but it really can't - we had to order another, which wasn't a problem as they had it ready in about 12 minutes. Some had the steak and some had and some had Branzino and some had salmon. Everyone, including myself, raved about the foie gras! We had a variety of desserts that were freshly made and tasted delicious! Service: absolutely excellent service! Our waitress was the best. We said we wanted a candle lit dinner and she delivered by finding us some birthday candles and constantly refreshing the batch when they dwindled. She had an upbeat personality and was super friendly. Atmosphere/vibe: this is certainly in a ritzy part of Dallas so be prepared for that sort of a crowd. It had great indoor and outdoor dining. Apparently they also have a rooftop. Age group: all ages Bathroom: didn't use it! Return: absolutely

Just ok, food was decent but nothing to rave about and our server was not the friendliest. Free valet parking and outside seating was nice. I do not recommend the lemon ricotta pancakes, tasted like regular pancakes and the burrata and Tono was sent back. Escargot was ok but not as savory as I was hoping for. Outside of the ambiance and outdoor seating this was a miss for us.

Shout out to Eric for great service. Galette was yum. Walked in for one to a friendly staff. Great comfy indoor seating on a hot day.

Really liked the texture contrast too, I'll get this again Asparagus with pistachio pesto - the in house made pesto fell off the asparagus easily and there was a bed of it underneath. I ended up putting them on the bread too, haha Chicken thigh with aji verde - this is a must get no matter what, incredibly fresh chicken I would have every day if I could. But alas, I don't live near here. Broccolini with lemon garlic - the orange sauce was also delicious but not as amazing as the others. I would still get this again though! Olive oil cake with sea salt - they flip the olive oil cake several times so the apricot syrup permeates. This time it was a little dry in some areas and too moist in some, so it was different than last time. But this is what you want to take your dining experience home with you Potatoes with aioli and tomato sauce - nice and crispy and the mayo has sherry vinaigrette during the emulsion process which was a nice kick

It was quite small, just a row of tables straight back from the front. I was looking forward to some good paella, so I ordered the Valencia small size ($20). It was served in a small sizzling skillet, which was harder to manage than a bowl. First of all, the skillet was steaming hot, and was more difficult to eat. It was literally dangerous touching the skillet's rim, which could burn your hand. My first disappointment was that they didn't seem to use yellow Spanish rice, which I consider integral to the dish. I used to make this, and it was a somewhat long process, letting all the ingredients simmer in the pan to ensure the flavor permeated all ingredients. This was served with mussels, shrimp, scallops, and calamari. I opted to have it without the calamari. It was also served without a knife. As some of the mussels were closed, it made them difficult to open without a knife. When I asked for a knife, I was able to wrestle the mussels open, but found that they, along with the shrimp and scallops, had no flavor or taste. Evidently, since it was fast-cooked in the skillet, none of the seasonings flavored the seafood. There was a lime stuck in the middle of the sizzling skillet, which was too hot to squeeze. Also, serving it this way left you to scrape the rice off of the skillet sides. The dish was acceptable, but definitely a far cry from the Spanish or Cuban Paella I love. For that, I will always go to Bulla in Legacy, which is also less expensive. My husband thought he was ordering a Cuban sandwich, and even pointed to it in the menu when ordering. It was the ropa vieja Cuban sandwich. Instead, what he received cost a few dollars more, and was a bowl of hot ropa vieja, along with rice and beans. He said it was good. The dessert of cinnamon sticks in whipped cream atop ice cream was also good, although not outstanding. The single women's restroom was acceptable; although it was unique in being the only eatery anywhere in this area without a purse hook, which made it slightly inconvenient. Although a nice mom and pop small local storefront, we are unlikely to return.

I am not sure if the patio is climate controlled in the summer or not. But on that night we were there, the weather was mild so it was very pleasant. They have happy hour on Saturdays so I started with an IPA on tap and the wife had a Prosecco, also for happy hour prices. This is a tapas restaurant so I will try to remember all that we had. Manchego cheese board: excellent. The crisps and jam were perfect with the cheese. Potato torilla: excellent. The flavors melded very well and it was very tasty. It's filling so keep that in mind. Ceviche de jalapeno: excellent. Not too spicy, the shrimp and seafood was fresh with no fishy smell. The plantains were cooked perfectly, not greasy. Brisket on crostini: excellent. Forget the name but they are a winner. Brisket is good quality and the flavors come together nicely. Chicken skewer: excellent. They smartly use chicken thighs so the meat is juicy and tender. Tuna tartare: good. It actually was my least favorite. The quality was very good but it did not have much flavor. I needed some heat, some acid, something to give it a kick. We were absolutely stuffed and did not try dessert. Our server Marcellus was excellent. Very helpful and pleasant throughout. He never disappeared for too long. A Home-Cooked Feel with a Few Rough Edges…read more My first visit to Dona Maria started on a positive note with a warm, friendly greeting that made me feel welcome right away. I ordered the Calisticas with chicken and the Pernil (braised pork). The crispy plantains were one of the highlights of the meal, providing a nice texture and crunch. The pork was tender and juicy, although I unexpectedly encountered a large bone joint in one portion. The chicken cups were less successful. They were noticeably oily and lacked the juicy, flavorful bite I was expecting. The standout flavor of the meal was actually the chimichurri sauce. It added brightness and depth, and I found myself pouring it over nearly everything on the plate. Overall, the experience felt very much like eating at a friend's home--comforting, unpretentious, and made with care. That home-style atmosphere extended to the food preparation as well, which appeared informal (I did see prep without gloves) and may not appeal to guests who expect a more polished restaurant experience. While there were some enjoyable elements, particularly the hospitality, plantains, pork, and chimichurri, the execution of several dishes was inconsistent. A decent meal with a welcoming spirit, but not one that fully lived up to its potential.
