A wonderful restaurant truly deserving of its Michelin star. The ambiance is great and so is the service. Parking was also pretty easy with plenty free street parking nearby. The smoked beets were so good, both pastas we ordered were perfect, the mashed potatoes were delicious, and the gelato was a great dessert to share between 3 people. One thing to note is that the mashed potatoes weren't on the menu, so make sure to ask for them! A must-visit in Dallas!

Make a reservation online! They also have free valet. Two drinks, three appetizers and one entree ran us about 300$. My favorite thing were the oysters and the croquettes. The duck was great. It was a lot of food so we could've skipped on an appetizer, but I felt like the appetizers were the best part. The duck also comes with a kebab skewer of duck meat. I felt like the side sauces and kebabs didnt go that well with the duck, but overall the individual flavors of everything were good.

Mamani is a Michelin Star French restaurant located in Dallas's The Quad (formerly Quadrange). While this restaurant has only been open for about a year, the service, technique, and quality of the food removed all doubt in my mind. Mamani is the best fine dining restaurant in Dallas. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Mamani's is a beautiful restaurant. It's inviting and has a very cool, modern European vibe. It's upscale, but not too pretentious. The patrons here are dressed to impress, and this is a great people watching spot. The seating was comfortable, the noise level was perfect for conversation, and the restaurant's team personalized our table with a thoughtful note wishing us Happy Birthday. 1 Star. Service - The service is incredible. Our server was friendly, confident, and tuned in to ensure we were having a great experience. Each dish was thoroughly described during presentation, we received new place settings between courses, and Chef Christophe De Lellis even prepared our Veal tableside. While our water cups were small, they were always full. Mamani's service has set the bar for Michelin Star restaurants. 1 Star. Food - Let me start by stating the only Michelin Star restaurants I've visited have been a tasting menu or omakase style. At Mamani, I had to make my own choices, but everything was amazing. I'll start with Bread Service. Each bread had its own texture and flavor, but the I'll be honest, they served as a delivery vehicle for the soft, golden French butter. Next, the Croquettes were crispy fried bites with a soft and creamy center. It was subtle, but the combination of tastes and textures placed me in food paradise. For my main, my table shared the Veal. The chef will prepare it tableside. The Veal was amazingly tender and perfectly fried. Each bite is an adventure in flavor and texture (notice a theme here?). If you visit Mamani, order the Veal. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. Simply put, Mamani is the best restaurant I've been to in years. And out of the few Michelin Star restaurants I've been to, it's the best. I've already started saving for my next visit. 1 Star.

This place comes at a high price tag but every course, detail and service was splendid. The food was out of this world and surprised us with elegance and decadence. For starters we had the bread basket and croquets. It was a nice variety and served with butter. The plating and presentation were strong and the taste was even better. The little croquets were fried perfectly and just the right culmination of ham and cheese. We had a pasta (agnolotti) dish for the mid course. It had sausage, sun dried tomatoes and just a splash of what I believe to be lemon. It was delightful. We had the veal cordon blue. It was served table side and very tasty. It was good but would likely try something else next time. The desserts were superb. We had the vanilla gelato served with a chocolate sauce and candied pecans. The Paris-Brest was like a croissant dough type pastry flaky, airy and smooth. It had a very soft peanut tasting cream through out.

Worthy of its Michelin Star. On this visit, magnificent in taste and presentation were their "Scallop & Caviar", "Cavatelli", "Veal Cordon Bleu", and, "Parfait". Loving enormously that on most nights, instead of a prix fixe tasting menu, Mamani offers à la carte dining. The decor and atmosphere of Mamani caters very nicely for the present contemporary Dallasites restaurant going crowd. Fitting right in with jeans or dressed to the nines. Impeccable more casual service. Music reaching at its loud point as the night reaches 8pm. And, guests pouring praises, like myself, of this being our favorite fine dining restaurant in Dallas right now! CHEERS!

Pro tip: Either reserve weeks in advance, or plan on flexibitand hope for a cancellation the day of or day before you're looking to go. Wow. Clap. Clap. Clap. An amazing experience all around! From the hostess, to the dining manager, the sommeliers, to the servers and the kitchen staff...just wow. It is truly an honor to see the HOME that Chef Christophe De Lellis has created that has become the newest Texas Michelin restaurant. As Tim, one of the Somms, put it -- you can tell that this is a space of "healing", unlike the many toxic industry environments we hear of. Truly, as a guest, we ourselves felt healed to dine with y'all. Chef Christophe, Eli, Andre, and Tim -- thank you for an exceptional dining experience. Highlights of the experience (other than learning we dined across from a professional hall of famer) include the oysters, leeks, and the table-side served veal cordon bleu. We were surprised to also enjoy a creamy and light homemade vanilla ice cream with perfectly sweetened Texas pecans. We can't wait to go back. A must!

First time at this beautiful space and it was an amazing experience. Our server Justin took care of us and everything was so tasty, so perfect. Starting with the oysters and scallop & caviar won me over as a seafood lover. The pasta with their house made bread was the perfect pairing and ending with their whole duck was the cherry on top. The ambiance and vibe in the restaurant was everything I could ask for to enjoy all the food, Michelin star well deserved, I will definitely be back!

I believe the worst thing that happened to this place was being awarded a Michelin star just 57 days after opening. At that point the bar has been set high. Attention to detail expected (but perhaps not officially required?) was not there across the board... including, I just noticed, that their Yelp profile is still "unclaimed". Is no one monitoring and/or caring about what people think? When we "jokingly" asked the waiter why he didn't put the napkins in our laps, his response was that the owners wanted to create a more laid-back casual vibe. For that I might go to Chili's--I never go to Chili's. ;) I did think beforehand it was going to be special as I received a text asking the name of the person celebrating their birthday. I figured that meant something personal and special might happen. See the card--the "birthday celebrant's" name was not "Mamani". Makes me wonder why they even asked. And not that a full, free dessert was expected, but even nice, non-Michelin places give mignardises (I admit I had to google that one!) at the end of a meal as a final "thank you" for dining with them. Did I mention there was also no amuse-bouche (that one I didn't have to google!)? The food was all good, although the "prepared table-side" veal cordon bleu lacked the presentation one might expect. It surely would have been plated better in the kitchen without the table-side gimmick that added nothing to the entree. The "greens salad" meant to be shared, yet stuffed all into one bowl without plates, was difficult to eat. When we asked for plates we were told it was "meant to be picked at while eating as sort of an amuse-bouche" and were never brought plates. Don't call a salad that accompanies a meal "like an amuse-bouche"--it's not. The "Bread We Bake" was fine if not a bit pricy, but the "Rodolphe Le Meunier" butter made it worth it! Artichoke appetizer was tasty and easy to eat. I heard the woman at the table next to ours telling the waiter that the place was "lacking that oomph" expected at Michelin restaurants and I believe they left after drinks and appetizers before ordering their entrees that I had previously heard them discussing. I see a few more one-star reviews agree with us. Atmosphere was pleasing. For "just another nice Dallas restaurant", I'll give it 4 stars. I was expecting 5+++ Without major changes, I cannot fathom that this star will be renewed next year.

My friend and I came here after she recommended this spot due to the Michelin star; however; be prepared for it to come with a side of bark! Upon arrival, valet was seamless and entering the restaurant you're warmly greeted by the hostess. We were sat in the terrace area (enclosed, had a wonderful temperature even with the windy cold going on outside). Ordered my drink (I got the Hay Jude, and later, a glass of wine) things were going smoothly... However, a guest with a DOG arrived (seated next to us) and it was shrieking terribly and whiny throughout the entire dining experience. When we thought it had calmed down, "bark, bark"! We ordered the amberjack crudo, blue crystal pawns, and their homemade bread to start. The crudo and bread were ok (have had better crudo) and I did enjoy the prawns. For the main, I ordered the grilled whole branzino and the pil pil sauce was the highlight of the dish! We also had the paris-brest and vanilla gelato for dessert - both were enjoyable. Overall, I won't return and yes, partly due to the dog, amongst other things (having to wait to eat due to not having a fork, small plates). Paying $200 per person, you expect a top tier dining experience (especially with the Michelin star) but today just wasn't that day.

I enjoyed the overall experience, food, and service, but admittedly felt a bit underwhelmed for my first time dining at a Michelin-starred restaurant. Ambiance & Atmosphere: Romantic and moody, well-suited for a date night or special occasion. Service: Truly outstanding. Our waiter was friendly, provided honest recommendations, and paced our courses perfectly, which made for a relaxed and enjoyable evening. Food highlights: - Bread We Bake: A trio of focaccia, sourdough, and a seeded/grain bread served with house-made butter--a solid and comforting start to the meal. - Blue Crystal Prawns: My favorite dish of the night. Served with a pesto sauce, this was excellent and something I'd highly recommend. - Artichoke: We ordered this out of curiosity, but it ended up being the one dish I wish we had skipped in favor of something else. - Agnolotti & Cavatelli: Both pastas were very tasty, though they didn't quite deliver the "wow" factor I was hoping for. - Chocolate Mousse: A great way to end the meal. I especially enjoyed the touch of saltiness to balance the chocolate. Overall I enjoyed our time and would still recommend the restaurant. Seeing nearby tables order standout dishes like the duck or veal cordon bleu made me think those may have elevated the experience further.

It really hurt giving this place 3 stars because I'd been looking forward to it since it opened. The design of this space is what intrigued me the most. Then it received the Michelin star, so I was excited for top notch service. I'm assuming I went on an off-night, because the service was so off. So off my girls and I pretty much had an eye competition of who could grab the attention of the sever fastest. What made it worst? I recommended the restaurant for a girls night .... The week of my friend's birthday Service? Our server was nice, just non-existent. I mean truly. We probably looked for her about 3, maybe 5 times during our dining experience. The restaurant? Absolutely beautiful. I loved how minimal and stunning the restaurant was, this is probably the only reason I'd come back, well that chocolate mousse too The food? It was cool. Didn't blow us away at all, but I'll say the service might have affected this. We started off with cocktails, and my girls loved their dirty martinis. I tried the Negroni Spagliato and another I can't recall the name, loved them both! Unfortunately we tried to order the bread, there were issues in the kitchen and the bread couldn't be served. I was actually shocked they didn't have a replacement ready to go for the bread, or offer something different. This threw us off. Give us fries or something We had the Croquettes, the Blue Crystal Prawns, and the Hamachi Crudo! Get the prawns and the crudo. The pesto sauce that comes with the prawns, so damn good. I soaked the prawn in it. The crudo, licked the plate. Literally we were starving, I tore it up. For the main items, we got the Potato Gnocchi, the Truffle Tagliatelle, New Zealand Lamb Chops, and Wanderer Australian Filet Mignon. I'd say the best item was maybe the lamb chop, and honestly this was a force for us. None of these really stood out to us. The gnocchi was taken over by the caramelized onions. Made me sad. We felt like the filet was missing seasoning, and truly needed the sauce it came with. Thankfully, we ended with one of our favorite items, the Chocolate Mousse. This was just so good, and I'm so glad we had a happy ending, then the check came out we each spent 200 and really only enjoyed the starters, cocktails, and dessert. We actually went somewhere else after. We didn't get the same experience as everyone else did and that's okay. Bravo to a beautiful restaurant, and hopefully a better experience the next time I go. I understand that restaurants have off-nights, and that's what I'll go with!

Fantastic food and phenomenal service -- a true Michelin star experience at Mamani! The interior of Mamani is beautiful! Very trendy, moody, and romantic. Perfect spot to celebrate a special occasion! As vegetarians, our options were limited, but we thoroughly enjoyed everything we ate. The bread service can't be missed -- the imported French butter was exquisite. The Leeks, Beets, and Artichoke starters were all incredible and must orders! For our mains, we shared the Agnolotti and the chef prepared us gnocchi in a pomodoro sauce. Both pastas were incredibly fresh and we especially loved the acidity of the pomodoro sauce. For dessert, we ordered the chocolate mousse and Paris Brest. The Paris Brest was by far the better dessert! The light, crunchy pastry top with the creamy praline filling was delectable. Can't wait to dine again at Mamani!

A great restaurant that does a lot of things well - just not well enough to earn a Michelin star in under 50 days - in my opinion! Here's what we got: - Bread We Bake($15): we really enjoyed the quinoa and focaccia bread. This was good, but something that other restaurants provide for free anyway. - Murder point oysters($25): loved the way these were dressed. Big fan. - Amberjack Crudo($29): overpriced and slightly chewy. Would not recommend. - Agnolotti($32): Absolutely delightful! Very simply dish that was executed spectacularly. The saying less is more truly shines here. Didn't even need the sage. Only gripe was that the serving size was waaaayy too small. - Veal "Cordon Bleu"($148): good but nothing spectacular. Felt the Mornay sauce was slightly bitter. Mashed potatoes were solid. We wouldn't get this again and would instead recommend trying the duck if it's available. Dessert: Paris-Brest($21): Absolutely delicious. The restaurant was kind enough to serve this with a gelato(on the house). Both paired very well together. Service was good - but not memorable. I wish the restaurant the best and hope for them to get their sea legs soon and grow into their Michelin star.

It's dark, moody, and effortlessly romantic, with a live pianist playing throughout the evening. It's the kind of place that feels intimate without being stuffy, perfect for a date night. The service was honestly some of the best I've had in Dallas. My water never dropped below two sips from full, the team was that attentive. It became amusing (in the best way) how on top of everything they were. Our waiter, Rene, was outstanding. He provided stellar recommendations from starters to entrées, drinks, and desserts. I trusted him enough to let him choose my glass of wine to follow my cocktail, and he nailed it. He also walked us through the menu in detail, which was incredibly helpful as first-time guests. The food absolutely delivered: * Shrimp St. Martins - Five jumbo de-veined shrimp in a rich, butter-like sauce that was decadent without being overwhelming. * Frisée Aux Lardon Salad - Rene thoughtfully split this tableside and served it onto individual plates. The dressing leans heavily Dijon-forward, so order accordingly if you're not a mustard fan. That said, the bacon was some of the best I've ever had: thick, slightly sweet, and perfectly cooked. * Sea Bass Ratatouille - Served over a tomato sauce, it was flavorful, well-balanced, and not too heavy. * Rack of Lamb - An extremely generous portion (which I happily helped my date finish). It was boldly seasoned and on the saltier side, which I personally loved, though I understand that may not be for everyone. * Affogato - A simple but perfect way to close out the meal. Between the romantic atmosphere, top-tier service, and excellent food, this is easily one of the better dining experiences I've had in Dallas.

Apparently it's a Dallas staple restaurant, having been around for more than 44 years, but it is now in a new location as of 2024. Starting from the moment you walk in you are enveloped in a very moody romantic French bistro. Just inside the front door you are greeted by the hostess. There's also a live piano player who plays live music at just the right volume. Tables are covered in white tablecloths with glowing candles. The booths are especially cozy! If you are looking for a romantic dinner spot this is your spot! The service here is on par and the food delicious! This particular night we started with the caviar service, then moved on to the mixed green salad. After that, honestly I was full so I just had Lobster Bisque for dinner while my husband had the lamb. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals, but were too full to move onto dessert, maybe next time!

The good: - Not busy - Server Caleb is quite pleasant - Scrambled eggs and breakfast potatoes were tasty - Yogurt Parfait was tasty but way too big. It was served in a large bowl. Way overkill. A French person would have been horrified at this dish In summary over three meals in the last 30 days, the food is hit and miss and the Kitchen is very slow. I love the location but I'm not sure we'll come back to eat at Toussaint. ---------- We mostly enjoyed our meals here. This review is for two visits that we've made here in the last 30 days. Our first visit here was on May 9, following an afternoon concert up the block at the Majestic Theatre. We popped in here about 5:30 pm and we shared a meal. They were able to do a kitchen split of the French dip meal. It was really tasty. The bartender worked the bar and the entire dining room. Must have been short handed that night but he did great. This weekend (May 29), we ended up staying at the Saint Elm Hotel which occupies the same building. We ended up at the Toussaint for dinner one night. We each had the French Onion Soup and we shared the Braised Short Rib dinner. The French Onion Soup was very good. It's in my top 3 of all time! The Braised Short Rib dinner - kitchen split, came out and presented great. Unfortunately, it was not served hot. It was barely warm. We sent it back for reheating. It came back out about 15 minutes later. The mashed potatoes, mushroom and gravy were warm. The short rib was not. We ate it cool anyway as we had a show to get to and I didn't really want to send it back again. That said, the potatoes, mushrooms and gravy had great flavor. The above all said for this dinner - I'd still come back to try other dinner dishes. Not sure my wife would agree.

The crème brûlée was excellent. As far as service goes ..... my waiter was the bartender and although he was very pleasant his attentiveness to service was lacking big time.

If you're looking for the perfect spot for breakfast or brunch, this is definitely the place to go…read more It's located right next to the Katy Trail, so you can take a walk and enjoy the scenery after your meal. When the weather is nice, sitting outside makes the experience even better. I've been coming here since 2020, and it still continues to exceed my expectations every time. The tuna tartar is the perfect appetizer, and the French 77 is a great cocktail to pair with your meal. This visit, I tried the trout almondine and really enjoyed how well the almonds complemented the dish. Overall, it's always a great experience here.

On a recent visit, I had the crab Benedict, zucchini chips, and chocolate mousse. Everything was good but the mousse was AMAZING. Definitely recommend getting this! My Benedict was ok, but had quite a few bits of shell and was a little lukewarm. I would have sent it back but I was so hungry! The zucchini chips could have used a little hit of salt and they would have been perfect. Seating is a little cramped during peak hours but you can get in some great people watching from the patio. Service was standard and our waiter was friendly. I feel like it's just one of those Dallas brunch standards that you must hit up at some point. Very cutesy for an afternoon with your girls!

Oh man... what a let down this visit was for us…read more My wife and I have come here at least once a year for the past 3 years, and we've always loved this place. The food has always been great and the experience was something we looked forward to. That's why we chose to celebrate an early Valentine's Day here -- to avoid the crazy rush and the preset menu. But this time? Completely different experience. We got seated right away because of our reservation, which was great. It took a few minutes for the waiter to come by -- no big deal. I ordered an Old Fashioned and honestly... the bartender needs some help. It came out full of crushed ice and tasted watered down. I sent it back, and the second one was basically the same drink with more whiskey thrown in. At that point, I just let it go. Then things just kept going downhill. After about 20 minutes, we realized we hadn't gotten any bread. We asked the waiter and he said he'd check. Another 10 minutes go by and he comes back saying, "Still no bread," and drops off the wrong appetizer -- we had only ordered a salad. He takes it back, and it's another 15 minutes before our actual salad shows up. Still no bread. At one point, we could literally see him arguing with someone in the back about why we didn't get bread yet. Not exactly something you want to watch during a date night. The food, when it finally came out, was delicious. No complaints there. But it took forever. By the time we were eating, it was about 45 minutes until closing... and we had gotten there two hours earlier. Then comes the payment situation. The waiter brings the check back and casually tells me I gave him two credit cards and he "just picked the brighter one." I look down and he had handed me someone else's credit card while mine was still sitting in the book. That's not a small mistake. Overall, it just felt unorganized and sloppy this time. I don't know if they're short staffed or just getting too busy for their own good, but it was disappointing, especially for a place we've genuinely enjoyed in the past. Hoping it was just an off night... but it definitely made us think twice about coming back.
