First time at Vovomeena. We arrived at 9:45 on a Thursday and it was 1/4 full. Good sign. The method is: grab a menu, order at the counter, find a table, breakfast is delivered. I got the Banging Pocket and a cup of tea. My son-in-law ordered the Blackstone Scramble and a juice. It all came to $39.54 plus any tip. I thought it was steep, until our plates arrived. The portions were no joke. Neither of us finished, despite raging appetites. The scramble looked good. It had pork shoulder with a couple of scrambled eggs, tomatoes, pepper, onion and garlic, along with a 12" tortilla. My pocket had velvety scrambled eggs, Schreiner's sausage and smoked Gouda, wrapped in pita bread. Skillet potatoes were on the side. I've been coming to this place for about 10 years now. First time was my freshman year while attending GCU. This is long overdue and I'm so happy to write this review. I now drive from Chandler to bring my wife and kids here. That commitment speaks to the consistency of this establishment. Food, service, and cleanliness is always top notch. This is the place I always recommend when friends or family visit or when anyone asked for a good break/brunch spot. Over the years some of my go-to's have become the Pain Perdu, Orchard French toast... I am a huge French toast fan and this is some of the best you will find in the Phoenix Metro area. The Mexican Benedict and biscuits and gravy are both amazing as well. For the sides.. They use smoked Gouda in their scrambled eggs which is sooo good, it inspired me to make them that way at home. The OJ is freshly squeezed. Last and certainly not least is a special S/O to Kai and team! Came here for lunch after visiting the farmers market and really loved it! You order at the counter and then are brought your food. Seems like you can usually seat yourself, but when they are busier someone tells you where to sit. I appreciated this as it helped to keep it organized and ensured everyone had a place to sit according to their party size. Absolutely love the decor in here, so cool! You order at the counter and then they bring it to you. I just got a drink, ordered online and it was ready when I got there. Ordered a cold brew with oat milk and vanilla. I got the small and it was 8 dollars. I've been on a journey to try every coffee place in the Phoenix metropolitan area for well over a year now, I have been to a ton and I don't think I've ever gotten a smaller coffee that was more expensive than this. The portions were large and if you want to try something new I would recommend the Japanese cold brew, banging pocket, or johnnycakes (it gave AZ vibes on a plate). They do have oat milk for nondairy people at the coffee bar as well as some simple syrup & honey. Also, any specials are listed on a chalkboard by the menus. Not able to reserve seating until after you order and pay, but even though it was busy we found empty tables to sit at. We received a stamp card for visiting and will be back! Had the pleasure of enjoying brunch here on the patio on a Saturday. It's a fast casual space with really unique decor. The patio is dog friendly and well shaded. They were knowledgeable about gluten free options, but they were limited. The cold brew flight was really unique and had a ton of flavor. The food came out quickly and all of the staff we interacted with were friendly. The black stone scramble was tasty and the tortilla it came with was fresh and hot. The tortilla espanola was fluffy and more quiche like with a zesty tomato sauce. The Portuguese donut was also out of this world! This is such a nice option for breakfast if you're in the area! There's a shaded patio, unique breakfast items, and the food and service can't be beat. This area has a free private lot and while we had no problem finding a spot around 10ish on a weekday, as we left it looked like there was competition with other cars to find an empty spot for such a valuable and scarce resource in this area. I had the Mexican benedict. It was a lovely inspired take on your classic benedict, with poached eggs, Hollandaise, chorizo and sopes instead of English muffin. It was a very well executed dish and each element tasted superb in conjunction with one another. The benedict came with potatoes that were equally as tasty. I also had the cold brew flight. The flavors I had were the black and tan, lemon jalapeno, and vanilla cocoa. While I appreciated that the flavors were all very distinctive, I think in general there aren't many cold brews I like because they tend to skew a little acidic for me, which was the case with most of the flavors. Adding some cream did help so I'll have to add more of it next time. The toddler had a blueberry muffin. No complaints from her! Service was friendly and our dishes didn't take too long to be made. The patio is quite nice for sitting outside for breakfast. The tables are geared towards 2 seaters but there is one large wooden table right outside the patio that you could probably use if there is a larger party that wants to sit outside to dine. read more

Not smiling, no eye contact, transactional. When we arrived it was moderately busy but no line (Saturday around 11:30), maybe it was after the morning rush and they were over it. Random but I put in my phone number for their loyalty program when checking out and I think I saw a $5 first time discount pop up (it also came to my email) but I think the cashier quickly pushed skip or something - I didn't see the total change - so maybe watch out for that. She then walked away without offering me a receipt, so I couldn't check it. It bothered me but I was having a good morning and didn't feel like making a big deal of it. Then at the barista station he was cleaning glasses and not paying attention to making the drinks. When he finally noticed he just slid them on the counter and turned away again without saying anything, my partner had to ask "are these our cold brews?" and he just said "yeah" without even looking at us. Based on the service I probably wouldn't go back. There were so many items I wanted to experience, but I ordered the Tortilla Espanola with Chicken Sausage, Apple Empanada, Japanese Cold Brew over ice with vanilla (and added Italian Sweet Cream), and Fresh OJ. Absolutely EVERYTHING was better than I expected... and I have reasonably high expectations. Everything from the food to the coffee was flavored perfectly... and the temperatures were just right. I drove quite a ways to get here because I was getting tired of my same go-to restaurants and I'm so happy I did. Each item was devoured! LOVE this place. I came on a Weds morning at 7am. Some folks but not crowded, but got continuously more busy as the time went on and I can see why. Service was excellent. I got my latte at the coffee bar and was only seated for a few minutes when my order came out. They have oat milk that makes a delicious latte, and they said about half of the drinks folks buy are with oat milk - yay for us plant based milk folks. I'm a sucker for chorizo and sopas so I got the Mexican Benedict. Perfectly spicy chorizo, eggs cooked right and tasty sopas. I'm not a potato fan but ate most of the potatoes - I like that they are well seasoned without being over salted. It is hard to see from the street, the parking lot for 7th corner is where you park, the look for the sign on the building and enter through a courtyard. Clean and spacious bathrooms. Ice water available and you can use your own container for coffee. A highlight for me - hot sauce lover - was that they brought Cholula sauce with my order - they read my mind! The egg was about an over medium/fried egg consistency. The yolk ran just a little. I personally prefer runny, but to be honest, I expected this to practically be scrambled or a fully fried egg. The downside were the non-food items. My friend ordered a muffin, and it was bland. She described it to be just cooked dough. There wasn't any flavor to it. I opted not to try it because I tried the donut and had the same feeling. It was fried dough. The consistency was airy, sort of like a beignet. There was no flavor though! On the menu it had something written like the donut was a no brainer must-get. I didn't feel that way at all. :( It's close enough to me that I would try it again. I decide to check out this place bc I was in the area and according to all my fellow Yelper's it was a must try. Sadly, I did not have the same experience While the ambience is nice and patio had a good amount of seats, the food was just basic and service was just ok. I had the b.m.o.c. On the menu it says, smoked pork chop, waffle, 2 eggs and Portuguese donut and apple-maple syrup. I did not get a pork chop, but a thick slice of ham, which was fine but it for the price ($19.95) you'd think they would lower it if it's just a ham slice. Also, the waffle sat on the bottom which soaked up all the syrup and made the waffle very mushy when eating. I would suggest to keep the syrup on the side so the customer could add to their own liking. The Portuguese donut is like a beignet but a bit denser. I was expecting something fluffier according to my fellow Yelpers. My daughter had the Breakfast Sandwich and it was just ok too. We were expecting savory flavors but it wasn't there. The server who served our food was fast and nice but I did hear her make a snide comment to my adjacent table. When they asked for their strawberry cake, she said, "I know, I only have 2 hands!" Stumbled upon this gem and I'm so glad I did! The location is next to an alley and has tons of parking. Brought my mother who was visiting from CA. It's a bit tight inside but they also have outdoor seating. First thing when walking in you want to grab a menu and stand to the side or wait in line to order. You get a tag and the food is brought to you. The drinks however if ordering coffee you would need to wait by the coffee bar for your number to be called out. Coffee was made with great skill & so good. I ordered the Japanese cold brewed iced coffee and I'm still craving it! Can't wait to come back. They do not serve mimosas. I ordered the Mexican Benedict amazinnnngly made. The potatoes melt in your mouth they are called "spuds" must try for sure. Choices of some meats are apple wood smoked bacon, pork sausage or turkey links. My mom ordered the wilcox avenue - 2 eggs, spuds & bacon as meat of choice We devoured our food.
