Hubby ordered the Prime New York Steak, off the recommendation of our bartender (yes that's right). He is not a New York Steak kinda guy but absolutely enjoyed the cut of meat and the temperature it was cooked at. This is easily one of my favorite places in St. Augustine. The whole atmosphere of this place is on a whole other level. We had just finished up at the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument across the street and decided to grab a drink and app and I had this place saved on Yelp. It wasn't opened yet when we walked up to the doors, but it was opening in less than 5 minutes. So we waited for the people in front of us to enter and then we asked to be seated outside. The patios of this place are phenomenal and make you feel like you're in a special place. The waitress we had was super happy and friendly and greeted us almost immediately upon being seated. Four of us ate here on a Thursday night in January. Even though it was off season they were very busy. It's a well lit atmosphere and a little on the noisy side but not so bad you couldn't hear your table mates. Our service was ok, one person asked for salt and pepper shakers when the food came & it took so long her husband got some from another table. The food was very tasty. I had the French onion soup which was really good however it was small for $13. She had salmon which she said was delicious. I visited River & Fort on a bachelorette party. We were a party of 5 and our reservation was ready when we arrived and we even got a choice of inside or outside. Really made the experience top notch (maybe his name was Ben but he's new and awesome!). The drinks/cocktails were very good and many went with the gin special. The garlic break and fried green tomatoes were amazing! I ordered the filet and it was pretty good...I asked for the sauce on the side which they forgot and they did offer to make it again which I appreciated, but I went ahead and ate it. I have to say the peppercorn sauce was not my favorite with a slightly off putting aftertaste. But the meat was cooked perfect and I enjoyed the asparagus and mashed potatoes. Overall a very lovely evening and would highly recommend it for a special occasion. And the ability to make reservations it's so nice in a vacation town. I think they did a wonderful job building this restaurant and it has the water view! it is 3 floors located almost in the middle of downtown St. Augustine. Parking sucks lol but that is anywhere in St. Augustine. Service here is always on point! that's why I love going here. They are quick and very attentive. Food is AMAZING! I had here the calamari and the French onion soup for appetizers and its amazing! Calamari is breaded perfectly not heavy and you can tell that the squids are fresh. The French onion comes in very hot and very tasty. as for my main entre I always order the short ribs and that is absolutely my favorite! The portion they give you is so big and the ribs just falls when you grab it and it melts in your mouth! We joined friends for their anniversary celebration. First thing to note, it's St. Augustine so be prepared to fight for your life to park. Once you get through that huddle, it's going to be a lovely experience. We started with appetizers; sticky ribs, a beet salad and a wedge salad. We reserved a spot here for my wife's 50th birthday and what an amazing experience we had. She has wanted to dine here for a while as we love their sister restaurant in Jacksonville. We had a nice corner booth area and our server was simply amazing. We started with a variety of apps including the fried pickle hushpuppies, deviled eggs, fried green tomatoes, and cannon ball shrimp. They were all delicious. Last, we were seated at the worst location when we first arrived while there were better locations and plenty of open tables. Someone asked me about my experience and I shared with them, only to be charged for the meal minus an insulting 20% when I didn't eat more than that portion of the meal.
