    Salad with salmon and ranch
    Stephanie M.

Great food. Great service and a great view of the water. The things we tried that were amazing - hush puppies with jam (onion forward hush puppy), Brussel sprouts (spicy) with goat cheese, caramelized bacon and onions and sausage, spring rolls, and lobster bisque. Things that were ok- lobster roll, salad with salmon. Would for sure return

Poor experience today unfortunately. Had a reservation for 12pm brunch for a birthday for a group of 14, table wasn't ready until 12:30, that's ok. Service was a bit slow once we sat, several people ordered the bottomless mimosa/Bloody Mary option and were waiting around with empty glasses for a while before we saw our server again. Entrees took one and a half hours to come out and when they did, they were kinda disappointing. Cold potatoes and eggs, bacon with a thick layer of lard on it (we thought it was frosting). Management comped the meal after we made it known we were unhappy, which we appreciated, but everyone had to go get food elsewhere after we left, so it was basically just a waste of 2 and half hours.

Had a wonderful dinner at the Boathouse. Sat outside and started with the Sangrias and the chargrilled oysters. Although there was a few small shell pieces in the oysters they were very good. We then had the gator tails, very tender and good. The special of the day was 20 shrimp and a side. We ordered them blackened with the asparagus and split it. Plenty of food. We also ordered the hush puppies with jam. Great as a dessert. Makayla was our sever and was outstanding. The manager checked on us at least twice. Loved our experience!

We ate outside on their patio which had a firepit, strung lights and great vibes. I got the lobster roll which was good quality but I feel like the lobster itself was cold and not hot. The Salmon wonton taco surprised me on how much I liked it. One thing that was disappointing was we got bloody marys and mimosas, but were not told they were bottomless till we got our check. I feel like they should've told us this when we sat down/received our first drink. If I were in St. Augustine again I would come back since the food was good and the patio was cute. I would recommend coming here for a nice brunch!

The deck is very nice but it started raining so we moved inside. Service was decent, the gin cocktail was very good. We ordered the calamari appetizer and it was dismal. So oversalted and contained 80% banana pepper 20% calamari. Almost inedible. We got the seafood boil and a shrimp & grits. The boil was delicious and I think it could feed 3. The shrimp and grits was too salty and too cheesy. I'm my opinion, onions and peppers detract from the dish. Overall would not recommend.

I will return. Nice ol Mac next to the with ample outdoor seating. Ordered a Po-Boy that was OK. Frankly, the bread it came in was, I would say, 1 day stale and tomatoes should only be served thin and not overly meaty. The conch fritter appetizer was the best I've ever tasted. The key-lime pie at the end was very good and not a store bought version. Overall, the Boathouse delivered as a seafood place with a broad selection.

Great location with numerous seating options. We sat outside and although warm it was very pleasant. Great views and an old time Florida feel. Food was fantastic. We only had drinks and appetizers but it was good and filling. This is a regular spot from now on.

The Boathouse is a great spot for an evening dinner after going to the beach! My family used to go to Creekside a while ago, so when we looked it up and saw that there was a new restaurant here called The Boathouse we wanted to try it. We have always loved the back deck overlooking the marsh, it's a perfect view for the sunset. They have live music on Saturday nights I believe but we were there on a Thursday. The restaurant was a little hot inside but as the sun went down it got better. Our server was nice and patient with us since we had such a large party. I got the grouper sandwich and it was solid, the fish was great and tasted fresh but the bun got soggy very quickly. Overall, we enjoyed the Boathouse and will likely be back!

Came in and the older gentleman at the front was very nice. Sat at the bar our bartender was Andrew and he was very nice as well! I ordered the lobster roll and the jumbo crab cake platter both 10/10. Good drinks too

We had planned to come here for dinner but I'm glad we ended up here for late lunch. It was quiet and peaceful with a great view of the water. Our server was sooo nice and very attentive. The food was very fresh and tasty. We started with the spring rolls, portion was big. We probably only needed to get one portion but we got two! Then I got the blue fin tuna poke bowl. It was very tasty. Other diners got sushi, Cobb salad and chicken sandwich. Everyone was more than satisfied with their meal both in taste and portion size. I would definitely come back at sunset for happy hour and dinner to watch the sunset.

So lucky to dine here during trivia night. Our dining companion was a friendly feline who likes oysters as well. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. The fresh oysters were on point! Grouper and mahi was ok and the brocollini was too charred for my liking. Trivia was fun but couldn't stay for the whole time as it was long

Are the raccoons still by the patio? Loved that about Creekside Diner but don't know if they stayed.

I've been there multiple times over the past few months and I've seen no raccoons. I haven't always been seated overlooking the creek, but when I was, no raccoons

We chose to sit outside, and it truly could not have been more perfect. The setting felt like something out of a postcard--comfortable shade, a gentle breeze, lush greenery all around, and even birds flying nearby. It created such a relaxing, almost magical atmosphere that made us want to linger and soak it all in. The food was just as impressive. Every dish was full of flavor and beautifully prepared. We especially loved the Cajun flair throughout the menu--it really delivers on bold, authentic taste. The white staff was completely on point--attentive, friendly, and genuinely added to the overall experience without ever feeling intrusive. Between the incredible food, the charming outdoor ambiance, and the exceptional service, this was easily one of the highlights of our time in St. Augustine. We will absolutely be back!

We lucked out and found street parking. On a weekend night, wait was about 30 minutes. The bar served a delicious mule while we waited. We ended up sitting outside and really enjoyed the (not too loud) live music underneath the string lights. It made for quite the comforting ambience. Our server Gabby was fantastic! She was very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. She made great recommendations and definitely made the experience for us. Prices were so affordable! I don't know anywhere else you can get two lobster tails for $37.99 with a side! TWO! Majority of entrees were $20-$30 with plenty of under $20 options as well. We received complimentary bread with butter prior to the meal and the in-house butter was DELICIOUS. I believe it was onion butter or something and we definitely inhaled it. For starters, I loved the calamari and the Louisiana fondeaux. The blue crab claws were just ok. The horseradish mayonnaise definitely made it more appetizing. For entree, I opted for the crab crusted redfish royale. This thing was a monster. The crab cake smashed on top was absolutely delicious and best part of my meal. Everything else was just too much cream and felt overpowering and heavy. Fish was lost in it all. My husband's shrimps and scallops orleans was much better balanced dish. My brother really enjoyed his shrimp scampi and my mom enjoyed her ribeye. The lobster tails were massive and delicious. Everyone loved the NOLA rice. At the end, we got the fried Oreos (Oreo beignets) which made everyone loosen their waistbands. We all left feeling way too full with plenty of leftovers for the next day. Definitely a win for our seafood loving family!

We've even talked about going back to St. Augustine so we can spend more time here. We ordered a few baskets and were absolutely shocked, in a good way, about the portion size for the price. Also, the wait time on the food was very short. The cocktail sauce is absolutely delicious, kinda spicy, which is perfect, and all the seafood was super fresh. The gumbo was amazing. It was kinda hard to get a good table outside, but worth the wait. People stand around your table waiting for you to get up, which is kinda annoying, but I get it.

Grouper Shack was at the top of her list because the prices weren't too bad. We went on a Thursday around 5 and had to sit outside since the inside was already packed, bar included. Worth noting if you're planning to go around dinner time. Also worth noting that it's an order at the counter situation, not a traditional sit-down restaurant like we were expecting. Not a complaint at all, just something to know going in. Now let's talk about the prices because $10 cocktails feel like a gift right now when we're so used to paying $14 and up everywhere else. Pretty much everything on the menu was reasonably priced, and you get a solid amount of food for what you pay. I got the grilled mahi mahi, my mom got the grilled grouper, and my brother went with the fried cod. The mahi mahi was nicely oiled and seasoned and cooked well. It was actually my first time trying it and I was not disappointed. Everyone else was happy with their food too. The coleslaw was creamy and tasty, though I could've easily eaten twice as much of it. And the waffle fries honestly might have been the highlight of the meal. Perfectly salted and just slightly undercooked. If there's one thing about me, I love a soft fry. After we finished eating we spotted fried gator tail on the menu and had to order it to go. I'm not sure what I was expecting but it came out as a bunch of little breaded balls of piping hot gator meat with the breading barely hanging on. They tasted good, but once you bit into the meat it had a pretty rubbery texture. Maybe that's just how gator is, so I won't hold it against them. For the price and the quality, you really can't complain much. A great spot to hit if you want fresh seafood without feeling like you broke the bank.

Catch 27 - St. Augustine, FL…read more Came to St. Augustine with a group and Catch 27 was suggested for dinner. Great choice. I checked the Yelp reviews ahead of time and it definitely lived up to them. People in our group started with drinks and everyone at the table seemed happy with what they ordered. I had the red wine braised beef brisket for my main and it was excellent, very tender and full of flavor. My friend Damon next to me had the red snapper and I tried some of that too. Also very good. Someone else at the table had the Rockefeller crusted snapper and that looked and tasted great as well. For appetizers, I had the shaved pear and blue cheese salad. It was really good and honestly enough for two people to share as an appetizer. People at the table also ordered the Devils on Horseback and liked them. I do not eat bacon, but they were happy with that dish. The deviled eggs with southern fried oysters looked really good, and I had the smoked salmon spread, which was very good too. I also saw the shrimp and grits come out for someone else and that dish looked excellent. For dessert, I had the sticky toffee pudding and it was a strong finish to the meal. Others at the table ordered the seasonal crème brûlée, which was chocolate that night. It looked great and everyone who had it said it was very good. Sunny was our waitress and she did an exceptional job. Attentive, kind, and on top of everything the whole night.
