Here's the honest view the flavor of the crab, and the shrimp was tasting good, but some of the crab was cold, looks like they heated on the microwave. the shrimp had no head, but they didn't remove the poop, was disgusting, we couldn't eat. I went in here yesterday and bought a 30$ meal which included 2 corn 2 sausages, the giant crabs and shrimp. I use to go here with my mom but I haven't in 2 years and wanted to see if it was still good. The service and ambiance are great and all but the next day after I had only eaten the crab and the shrimp I had the worst food poisoning of my life, I'm talking hot flashes so bad I almost called 911 because I thought I was going to die. Everything is precooked and boxed mostly then plopped in the MICROWAVE...yes REHEATED!!!after they seasoned and dolloped the butter...that there threw me off...as I'm standing there watching all that I was kinda hesitant about this and you could imagine the thought process...like how do I know if these are like 2-3days old and such. Cause thats definitely a first for me witnessing first hand something like this. But let me tell you....it was great...my brain is confused but my taste buds were ecstatic...shrimp was plump and delicious. Crabs were moist and firm. Every time I travel through Saint Augustine, I make sure I stop in for some blue crabs. To be fair, I don't do their butter sauce. I prefer them naked so I can't comment on the sauce. I will say, I don't really like that they microwave the crabs inside of the styrofoam containers that they use. I get it that they pre portion everything out and put them in the cooler, but it would be nice if they didn't microwave in them. There are usually a few spots of melted styrofoam on my crabs. But I won't give them any stars off because I understand that it's a small business and they are doing the best they can. But that would be something u hope they'll look into changing. read more

Fresh blue crab and shrimp. The shrimp was good with warm butter and lemon salt. The blue crab was lightly seasoned and lots of work to get very small amounts of meat. The owner is friendly and forewarned us of the work it took to get to the meat. He also made recommendations as first time guests. Sometimes the hole in the wall joints are the best, and this place definitely fit the bill. She had me very worried when she offered to heat them by microwaving them. I passed, knowing I had about a twenty minute drive to our condo but asked her for how long to microwave them. I love this place for several reasons. But one thing that I think attracts most people here is, you get fresh seafood for a great price. He even gets fresh crawfish in sometimes. I love that. It's been so hard to find fresh (not frozen) crawfish. The owner is amazing. I was there today and I was able to see how he interacts with his customers. The people really love him and talk to him like he's family. And he does the same. I love seeing that. Most of all, the owner and his wife are all around great people. Wow! The best snow crab I've ever had. We were on an anniversary trip to St Augustine, and didn't want to go sit down somewhere to eat. We found the crab house and WOW! Super nice lady at the front, served us the best seafood ever, even with a power outage at the register. visited here for the first time with the family as the kids were craving crab. Didn't know this is strictly a take-out affair and they also sell frozen and fresh seafood. Decided to head somewhere else for lunch and do some errands before swinging by and picking up crab for dinner. Got 1 container of the blue crab for me and 1 container of the snow crab for the kids. The styrofoam containers were packed full of crab which the gentleman behind the counter had drizzled with butter and garlic and old bay (he gave us instructions on how to quickly warm them up in the microwave, or he could have done it for us if we were going to eat them right away). The snow crab clusters had large meaty legs which the kids thoroughly enjoyed, and there were so many blue crabs in my box, it took me forever to break them down. Simply delicious. Wish it was a sit down restaurant and the location was a little off the beaten path (it's in a strip mall of sorts but it's really tucked away) but we'll be back again to get some more crab in the future. read more
