SO and I stopped here for dinner and left quite pleased. The empanadas, scallops and flounder (the special catch for the day) were all tasty. Bottom line, the food and service were excellent.

We have been to Saint Augustine a few times, but we hadn't dined at Catch 27 on our most recent trip. We chose it because one of the restaurants had gluten-free options for my wife, who is celiac. They are also one of the few spots we have been to that offer southern fried oysters with a gluten-free batter, fried in a separate fryer. Now, they don't offer it separately. They come with the deviled eggs appetizer, where they place a southern-fried oyster on top, and it's fantastic. It's incredibly wonderful, allowing us to live our best lives. For an entree, we split the Florida Shrimp Risotto, which was excellent and very satisfying. For dessert, we went for the chocolate crème brûlée, which was exquisite and left the palate incredibly satisfied. Do note that the chocolate crème brûlée came with cookies that were not gluten free, but they were separated from the serving dish the former came in, so nothing was contaminated. Cocktail-wise, I enjoyed orders like the Lavender Haze and the Bitter End. Both were excellent choices, with the former being gin-based, and the latter resembling more of a Negroni. Catch 27 was an excellent choice that filled our bellies, especially, after traveling up the coast from South Florida.

We started of with the 27 trio because I was craving chips. I thought the pico was average, but the pimento cheese was delicious. They also brought us extra chips after we finished the initial serving. For entrees, we got the catch beurre blanc and blackened pasta. The mahi was perfectly cooked, and the sides complimented the fish beautifully. You MUST get the blackened pasta. The shrimp was tender and juicy, and the pasta was creamy and exactly what I was craving on a cold night. We thought the proteins were just a tad on the salty side, however. Our waiter, Josh, was also fantastic! Very attentive and had such a positive demeanor. We didn't sit by the bar, but from what we saw, the bartender seemed super friendly, as well. I definitely recommend sitting inside if you want an intimate cozy Christmas vibe! The inside feels like a small town restaurant out of a hallmark movie.

We visited catch 27 on a Monday evening for dinner. We sat outside in their lovely patio with my hound dog. Everyone was very welcoming. We started with the fried oyster deviled eggs, which were very good! I love a deviled egg and they nailed it here. I felt that the sauce on the bottom wasn't strictly necessary though. The oyster was crispy and it worked pretty well. I had the red snapper Rockefeller and it was actually perfect. The asparagus was great, the potatoes were awesome, and the sauce was a perfect compliment to a nicely cooked fish. My companion got the catch beurre blanc, and it was a little less impressive. The sauce didn't have as much flavor as it could've, and the sweet potato purée didn't quite pair well with the lemon caper profile. The creme brûlée was alright. I generally prefer a brûlée that has a singular disc of brûlée across the top as opposed to the kind of granules that this one had. At the end of the day, it was just okay. We had a great meal overall and the service was really good. This is my second time at catch and it confirmed my suspicion: this place is consistent and delicious. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone visiting St. Augustine.

Catch 27 is unassuming but the food is very good. Sat downstairs in the dining area which is small in scale but does have more rom than it appears. There is a bar in this area as well. Our server was great and he did a nice job with the menu and making recommendations. I had an old fashioned to start and it was made very well. Just the right mix and not too sweet. I had to try the roasted butternut and coconut bisque and that was the right decision. It was delicious! The toasted pumpkin seeds really made the dish. For the entree I had the braised brisket and it was so tender and flavorful. I will definitely be back to try more dishes.

Service was ok. It was our anniversary and it was noted on our reservation. Hostess confirmed when they called to confirm reservation. Nothing was done, even though we did not order dessert, compared to another reviewed restaurant that brought rum cake out, that was great. Snapper on menu was excellent. Crusted with oysters. SERVER suggested their clam chowder which was excellent. Blackened flounder was a special and was good. We sat inside, small seating but most folks sit outside. Full service bar.

Great ambience and service! Food was very good as well! I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the town.

Do not miss out on the Chocolate Creme Brulee! It is absolutely to die for. We made a reservation and were seated immediately. Our drinks and food came in a timely manner. I look forward to eating here again.

Had a wonderful anniversary dinner with my wife and our three teenagers. Outdoor seating was very welcoming and the space heaters took the chill off of the crisp January evening. Service was excellent and attentive but not intrusive. My son who usually only wants a burger enjoyed the grits with grilled chicken, although he let us finish the collard greens and okra which were both very good classic southern flare. The 27 salad with shrimp added was excellent. The salmon dinner was outstanding with sweet potatoes that were light and sweet just like homemade. Butternut squash soup was fantastic light and airy and we were trying to figure out how to accomplish the same whipped texture at home! I had the grilled shrimp over orzo which was excellent and satisfying. Altogether the food and the experience was excellent and we will be sure to return next time we are in town!

We chose this place because they could accommodate our really large group. We had a wonderful time and the service was very friendly and accommodating, yet firm to let us know of our time limit since we arrived a little late due to parking and bridge lifting. I got the shrimp and grit cakes. Such an amazing dish. I don't even like greens so I knew I may have to begrudgingly eat them. But they were amazing. Best greens I've ever had. Very tender and actually very sweet which was awesome by me. The perfect bite of shrimp greens grits and relish. So amazing. A dish I'd order again for sure. Very reasonable price for what is offered. Something to keep in mind is that parking is terrible. Plan ahead

We dropped in late afternoon and grabbed a few seats at the indoor bar. The bar staff here works the entire bar I'm sure we were greeted by all of them during our visit and each provided exceptional service. The drinks here are very creative and all come with very generous pours, if you like rum this is a place you'll fall in love with after your first sip - we decided to just go down the drink menu and try as many as we could responsibly and immediately knew this would be a favorite when in the area. I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite drink and it would be just as tough to pick a favorite off their small bite menu. We decided to try a few of the specials, it's a relatively simple menu but everything is filled with flavors that are incredible - the char-grilled oysters are plumb, fresh and unique in every way, the fried black grouper bites were crispy served with a delicious remoulade and a spicy jalapeño chimichurri that will light up your tastebuds, we also tried the jerk chicken thighs skewers and amazing crab empanadas filled with a curry concoction like no others. The portions are large enough to share and really balance out the cocktails, this was a really nice experience and one I plan to repeat in the near future, with all the options in St. Augustine this one is at the very top of the list in my opinion and with parking at a premium in the area they have plenty, definitely worth a try...

The renovations are a massive improvement over the previous bar, and the atmosphere is genuinely lovely. The Good: The food is generally solid. The fish dip and salads are nice, and I've had the smash burger a few times--it's amazing. The fish sandwich I ordered was very bad and I couldn't get a member of staff's attention so left it uneaten. The Bad: Unfortunately, my most recent visit was entirely derailed by the service. We sat at the bar and the experience was frustrating. The female bartender (dark hair, glasses) repeatedly interrupted me while I was trying to order, and then got my drink wrong. When I tried to correct it, she literally walked away. My friend tried to order for me, but three bartenders were huddled together chatting and completely ignoring the patrons. We spent a lot that night, and leaving a fish sandwich I didn't enjoy (and couldn't send back due to lack of service) just added to the disappointment. I sincerely hope management addresses the bar staff's lack of attentiveness, because if this continues, this cute place won't last. I'd be happy to speak with the manager directly about this, as we are locals who want to keep coming back.

Arrival: There are parking lots nearby--expect to pay around $15-25. As we walked up, there was live jazz music playing in the courtyard, which set a really great vibe right away. Service: Our waiter was attentive and timely without being overbearing. Food: Everything was amazing. We started with the bread service--the truffle butter was definitely the highlight (we didn't care too much for the ricotta spread). FYI: the little cubes that look like white cheddar are *not* cheese...I learned that the hard way by biting into a square of butter. For dinner, I had the cacio e pepe and he ordered the 100 lasagna. Portions were a bit smaller than expected, but honestly fine after filling up on bread. For dessert, we shared an affogato--the espresso wasn't burnt (which is surprisingly rare), so that was a big win. Overall: After the Resy credit, parking ended up costing more than the meal, which is kind of wild. Only downside was that there are just two restrooms, and there was a line when we went. We started with the bread appetizer, which came with several types of fresh bread and an incredible lineup of spreads like whipped ricotta, truffle butter, regular butter, and honey. Every bread had its own distinct flavor and texture. Next up was the sausage appetizer featuring both a sweet sausage and a spicy sausage, all made in house. They were cooked perfectly and served in a flavorful sauce with peppers that tied everything together. The balance between the sweet and spicy was so good. For my entree, I ordered the lasagna, and it was pure comfort. It reminded me so much of the classic lasagna I grew up eating, layered with rich Bolognese and a creamy bechamel sauce that made it feel both nostalgic and elevated. My boyfriend went with the steak (I believe it's a New York strip) and swapped a few of the sides to his liking. The steak was absolutely cooked to perfection, a beautiful medium rare. I may or may not have stolen about four bites... and yes, it was worth it..... We were way too full for dessert, but we did enjoy a bottle of wine with dinner which made the whole experience feel like the perfect date night. The service was fantastic, the food was memorable, and it's definitely a place we'll be coming back to for many more dates!
