The Harvest and Reel is located inside the beautiful Embassy Suites resort. This beachfront property doesn't currently have beach access so keep that in mind. We stayed at the resort and ate here twice during our stay. As we often do, we decided to share a few things because this was our first time here. We started with the crab bisque. It definitely needed some seasoning. We order the pork chop. We asked for medium. It was more medium well but still juicy so we ate it. The potatoes were tasty. The couscous is so lacking in any seasoning I just couldn't eat it. I tried lemon, salt, and pepper. It just couldn't be helped. We were offered a free dessert because they saw we didn't eat it. We got the side. Do not get the entree of it! The chocolate brownie (best way I can describe it), was good but very rich. Later in the stay, I ordered the Caesar salad with halibut. I would skip that as well. It ended up being $27 for a very mediocre salad. It comes in large pieces and the halibut was very small and overcooked. Our server was friendly and accommodating. He was attentive and made every attempt to keep us happy. The bartenders were also friendly but complained about their jobs quite a bit. Overall, the resort is lovely but the restaurant needs some work. I would not have gone back had we not been staying there.

I had eaten at Harvest & Reel a few years ago, when it opened, and had an amazing time. Since we were staying at the Embassy Suites Resort St. Augustine Beach , I figured it would be a fabulous time to try it again. Located in the lobby of the hotel, Harvest & Reel is a gorgeous dining space. It's dark, and cozy, with an open kitchen and a "Farm Fresh and Shore To Table" concept. Yum. We had a party of eight, and were celebrating my brother-in-law and sister-in-law's anniversary too. Our server was Harrison, and he was a dream. He had great knowledge of the menu, made excellent suggestions, was super attentive to our table, and was just a general superstar. Thanks to him. We started with wine and appetizers. We sent an order of the calamari and the charcuterie board down to the "kids'" end of the table, while the "adults" had another plate of calamari and the crispy Brussels sprouts. I'm not a huge calamari fan, but these are fried in the lightest batter, and served with a flavorful green goddess drizzle and hot peppers, so it hits just right. The crispy Brussels sprouts were so good that my husband ordered them as a side with his dinner. I shamelessly snagged some of those, too. Oops. I wasn't super hungry after apps, so I went with the Corn Risotto (as did my brother-in-law, who is a vegetarian). My nephew ordered the Delmonico ribeye, one niece had the Cheeseburger with potato wedges (it came with two patties), and everyone else had the filet mignon, with assorted sides. I am pretty sure we all joined the Clean Plate Club that night. I wish I had more photos of the entrees, because they were beautiful, but.... I got involved in conversation, and you know how it goes. Harrison brought out a slice of salted caramel cheesecake to my brother-in-law and sister-in-law, compliments of the restaurant, which was a lovely and sweet touch. Harvest & Reel is a wonderful restaurant, perfect for intimate dinners and special occasions. Thank you for such a wonderful time!

Fresh catch of the day - mahi with haricot verts

Fantastic restaurant in the Embassy Suites! We got in at around 8PM on Sunday and was thankful that this place stays open til 10PM which means dinner is only an elevator ride away. We were immediately seated. I requested a booth so we could have more room and be isolated from the other guests. They do practice social distancing, staff wore masks and they sanitized each table well. I ordered a glass of cabernet and my husband had some unsweetened tea. He wasn't super hungry so we did not order an appetizer to share. Instead, I started with some leek soup. I thought it would come in a small bowl but was pleasantly surprised when a huge, steaming bowl of soup came to the table. It was delicious. You can definitely taste the leek. There were some little chunks of potatoes as well and a bit of crispy onions on top. For my main course, I ordered the fresh catch which was mahi simply but deliciously seasoned with some salt and fresh ground pepper served with some haricot verts. Wow! It was so tasty and amazing! My husband had the scallops and he enjoyed his meal as well. We did not order dessert because we were both full and tired and just wanted to get up to our room and pass out but I would love to dine here again before our trip is over so hopefully I get to!

We were excited about the restrained menu at H & R. We had a late dinner after the rush had cleared out. Looking for a vegetarian option, I ordered the Butternut Squash Risotto. Sadly it was not good at all. Mushy, pile, end-of-the-night dish is what was delivered. It tasted precooked and there were maybe 5 very dry pieces of squash on top that also tasted like they were cooked much earlier than served. My husband had a steak cooked to perfection. We started off with Calamari. It was a bit chewy, but had good flavor. Staff was very nice, but I would recommend the restaurant attend to quality late in the evening. 86 that Risotto if you don't plan to serve it fresh late in service.

Came here for dinner while staying at Embassy Suites! We have eaten here when the hotel first opened up and can't quite remember how the food tasted, so we made sure to try it again on our visit!! The restaurant was empty which was pretty surprising since the hotel was pretty busy! We were seated immediately, our waiter was very attentive and was great with the kids! Once our food arrived, it all looked and tasted really good. (Not pictured) but the creamed spinach was my absolute favorite!! Our steaks were cooked perfectly and the kids' meals were yummy (so they said)! On our next trip to St. Augustine we will be dining here again!

This is certainly a date night spot! The Vibe & Swag of this location is great. First thing: parking is challenging. They do have valet parking for a price or you can park by the pier and if you can find anything. We choose the valet. Which we were surprised that they were offering valet due to the pandemic but we were fine with it. The lobby is nice, big and gorgeous! The bathrooms are very clean (btw i threw a pic of the bathroom because of how nicely clean it was) which is rare. Staff is great on site! Our hostess sat us down quickly! We made reservations for 6pm, but it didn't pick up with people until 8pm. Our waitress was very sweet and great! She served us well. (Not sure if her name was Ashley or something with a A) but she was great. We were on a double date so we got our appetizers and shared. The calamari was chewy in my opinion but the breading was really tasty. The artichoke dip was really tasty and creamy. I will order that again. My friend had the Delmonico Steak ($44, 16oz)- she gave some and it was perfectly cooked and juicy with amazing flavors. My wonderful wife has the Squash Risotto. I wasn't expecting anything from this dish but wow this was so good- we added shrimp to the dish for $10 more. I do think this dish is a bit overpriced, but it was really good. My friend and I did the pork chop with cornbread- this is a dish that I will come back for. 10oz bone-in pork chop was great and a huge deep pan corn bread piece is served with it. The pork chop is coated with BBQ. It was not dry and compliments to the chef for cooking it perfect and keeping it juicy and flavorful. We ended off the night with some nice desserts. The chocolate cake was very rich and ou

We ate breakfast here every day of our stay; and, the food was terrific. There are typical offerings on the buffet; and, custom omelets at the chef station. In the back, there are juices, and soft drinks; a variety of bread and pastry items (including donuts!); and, a tip jar that is well-hidden. The oatmeal and the grits were standouts for me and my wife, as we had them each morning we dined in. The first day, the oatmeal was the best I'd ever had in my life, with a wide variety of toppings that made customizing the bowl easy and flavorful. When we ordered omelets, we tipped the chef; and, at the end of our stay we tipped the staff that bussed the tables. The restaurant manager keeps a keen eye on things; and, signs in the lobby indicate the hours and wait times to expect in the morning. My wife and I noticed they had a wine dinner scheduled in late-March, which will probably be postponed. But, we seriously considered coming up for the weekend just for the dinner event!

We had the best experience here tonight. I ordered the Smokey pineapple cocktail, the 6oz filet with scallops and crispy brussell sprouts; and the flourless chocolate torte. All were delicious. As shared appetizers, we ordered the artichoke dip and the tomato burrata salad. Again, delicious. I completely blanked on our servers name but she had red hair and she was perfect. The manager we met was delightful as well. I will be back soon!

Ruined my New Years Eve plans being turned away for our dinner. Shameful.

The staff here was very inviting and attentive, the menu is also themed and fairly priced, we ordered "The Ford Galaxie" two eggs your way, a choice of meats, choice of toast or biscuits and home fries or grit - although the winner here in my opinion is the coffee it's delicious, strong and robust. Unfortunately everything here wasn't perfect the "West Creek Whipped Spread Butter Blend" is an abomination, it ruined everything we put it on, my bad for not asking for real butter after applying it to my toast, my grits and the English Muffin we ordered, it was inedible to the point we left everything on the plate this stuff touched it wasn't refrigerated as suggested on the label I'm guessing. I usually eat only real butter so what was I thinking - so my dilemma is how do I review this place fairly based on that stuff and the fact it ruined our food since we loved everything else. On a busy Friday night, we started at the bar for cocktails and were immediately welcomed by a friendly, upbeat bar staff. At prime dinner hour we put our name in for a table and, to our surprise, were seated on the outdoor patio with that spectacular beach view in about 15 minutes. Service was excellent throughout -- attentive without being intrusive -- and the food was terrific. Highlights for us: Fish spread -- outstanding and rivaled some of my longtime local favorites in both quality and flavor. Grilled buffalo wings -- cooked perfectly. Fried oysters -- excellent appetizer. (order two of the sauces) Cajun Fried Shrimp Po' Boy -- very tasty (my only small suggestion would be a little more remoulade sauce, it was nearly absent). Nashville Chicken Sandwich -- my wife loved it; spicy and delicious and not overcooked.. A fun surprise: this was the first day they had tables actually set up on the sand, which I think is a fantastic addition. It may make things a little tougher on the servers, but for beachgoers it's a wonderful option. The live music was very good -- this has always been a fun place to hear local musicians -- and the performers that evening did not disappoint. It was a touch loud for conversation on the patio and we were sitting quite aways away from the band, but many enjoy that energy. If you want a quieter meal, dining inside may be the better choice. A particularly nice touch was the manager stopping by our table to make sure everything was to our liking. That level of attention says a lot. The place feels professionally run. Prices are a little higher, but in my opinion the food quality is a step up from the old Palm Pavilion -- and frankly, what do you expect for a front-row seat on one of the nation's #1 beaches? Thank you, Crabby's Beachside -- we'll be back.

The venue is on A1A, right by St Augustine Beach. This was our first time there. They serve food but we had dinner beforehand, so we only had drinks. It's a nice little venue though. The show itself was awesome and Mick was so nice to meet afterwards! Why am I giving a 5 star review when we didn't even try their food? I'm at fortunate to know a few people that many would consider to be famous in the world of music. I have tagged along with them when they've done meet & greets at venues of various sizes from hundreds of fans to thousands of fans. Many, MANY venues handle these things very poorly. It ends up leaving fans feel as if the artist doesn't care about them when it's actual the venue that is unprepared and/or is treating the fans that dirt. That was absolutley NOT the case at Cafe Eleven. Every person we encountered from the staff seemed genuinely concerned with making sure the fans had a good experience. For us, this started a week prior when they took the time to email us to double check something about our order because our order was a bit odd. My wife paid for part of the order and our friends paid for the other half. The venue actually took the time to reach out to make sure we knew everything needed to match up. We did know that ahead of time but the fact that they even bothered was a touch I don't think I've ever heard of another venue taking the time to do. Well done Cafe Eleven! Based on that alone, I wouldn't think twice about driving down from Jacksonville next time there's an event at Cafe Eleven that I'm interested in.
