I am stoked to announce this as my first 5 star. I love the name, we come from a small KY town so the Taylor park is an awesome name for an amazing restaurant. We went in and got seated immediately, they may have been short staffed but the two people working the floor were running around with their heads cut off, it was poetry in motion. The nacho fries were so good I couldn't snap a picture of them before our party finished them off. Then my burger was great fries were cooked to perfection, treylor park sauce was epic. I took my kids to Treylor Park for lunch today. While my kids had a good experience, unfortunately mine wasn't the same. I ordered the pesto sandwich and added grilled chicken, but the chicken was very tough and hard to bite through. I ended up removing it and tried to get through part of the sandwich anyway. On the positive side, my kids ordered the wings and nachos and really enjoyed them. The place itself is very cute and unique -- it feels like you're inside a vintage Airstream-style RV. While visiting St Augustine, our family stopped here for dinner while exploring the historic "oldest city" while walking through the town. We happened to come upon Treylor Park on Spanish street. We walked up the stairs and were seated quickly. The place is laid back with a nice bar, ample seating and our server was immediately at our service and kept up on our table often. We did not wait long for anything we ordered. I went with the Smashburger that was perfectly seasoned, smothered in cheese that wrapped around the entire patty and perfectly topped with grilled onions on a nice brioche bun. Decided to try Treylor Park when arriving late in St Augustine based on their high yelp ratings and their kitchen was open later than most places is the area. It reminded me of a retro diner and was very cute inside, like a classy trailer park. The bar looked like a trailer and they had string lights hanging from chandeliers on the ceiling. It is a small place, but they manage to have a decent amount of seating inside. Service: no complaints about the service. Food: I'll say I think the high ratings are probably more for the ambiance and drinks, as the food was bar type and average. The menu is pretty small. I got the caprese sandwich and added chicken. It was pretty good, but the bread got soggy. My husband got the smash burger and it was pretty plain. No lettuce, tomato, or anything on it. Around noon the restaurant was almost empty, except for a few college guys slamming shots at the bar, so that should have been our first indication that the food might not be that great. I met a few people here for brunch at 10 am when they opened. I ordered the Treylor Park with eggs over medium, they showed up sunny side up with super runny whites, there was hardly any feta on it, and the bacon marmalade appeared to be missing as well, unless it was just so little it was not visible or tastable. I ordered coffee and the rest of the table ordered alcoholic drinks. They said their drinks were good, but my coffee the lady walked up with the cup and 2 small 1/2 and 1/2 containers. I asked for at least 3 more. I needed all 5 for how dark that coffee was, and I was never offered refill. Everyone else food looked really good, mine tasted OK, but for $18 I wouldn't go back. They had PBJ wings that the table raved about, and other peoples food looked really good. We visited Treylor Park on a Saturday around 2:30pm after enjoying the beach. We sat on their patio which was both shaded and had fans which was awesome for the sweltering day. They immediately gave my hound dog a metal bowl with icewater which was much appreciated. For food, my companion got the fried fish sandwich and I got the caprese sandwich. The fish sandwich was awesome, nice and crispy and well assembled. The caprese on the other hand - one half of the sandwich had all the goods in it and the other half had like one sad little slice of mozzarella and one sad piece of tomato. I think I might've made an ordering faux pas on this one because I'm sure that the tacos would've been better. The waffle fries were also spot on. The service here was also great, the crew kept coming out to check on us and my hound dog. I love that they had giant connect 4 too, we played a few rounds and it was a nice way to pass time. We are so glad we stopped by Treylor Park! Our server was lovely and we got to enjoy happy hour with a $5 mule. It is right off the main tourist street which makes it easy to get to if you are seeing the sights in St.Augustine. It wasn't super crowded when we were there so it wasn't too loud or anything. It is a fun atmosphere inside, it is casual but still feels cozy and inviting. The menu has lots of unique food items and it was definitely hard to decide what to get. I decided on the Cheesesteak Eggrolls as an appetizer and got the Grilled Apple Pie Sandwich as my meal. The egg rolls were super tasty! They are large and filled to the brim with filling. It really did taste like a cheesesteak and the dipping sauce was yummy too. The Grilled Apple Pie sandwich was also very enjoyable. The apples were tender, but still had a bit of a snap to them which I really liked. The bread was toasted wonderfully and the fried chicken was really good. The dipping sauce tasted like apple pie syrup. I wish the sauce was a bit more savory, but I still really enjoyed this sandwich and thought it was very unique. The giant slice of apple was thick and crunchy. Not baked all the way through. They also forgot the balsamic dressing on the sandwich. The fries were cold. The smash burger was better. We went to Treylor Park because it was rated the #1 Mexican Restaurant in St. Augustine. Oddly, it has very little Mexican food on the menu. The ambiance is that of a literal trailer park from the 50s, and it's adorable. We sat at the bar and were served by Trey (no relation). He made excellent negronis for me and my husband enjoyed the margaritas. I really enjoyed the mortadella and egg sandwich, which would make for a great hangover food. I definitely recommend this place, but maybe not necessarily for Mexican food. read more
