Food is always on point. Star is friendly. The interior is meh. But they do have outdoor seating. Just not a lot. They do their tacos double shelled. A hard inside the soft shell. Their salsa and queso is also great.

Tried this location while in town. Food was ok. I got the chicken salad. The chicken is shredded with a spicy chipotle sauce. It was sitting on a bed of spinach type lettuce which didn't match "Mexican" food. The queso reminded me of chez whiz. My husband said his steak salad was good and he would give this restaurant 3 stars.

Surf Beach Chill Taco Burrito Bowl Cafe. Best menu on the planet for someone like me. Easy to order if you love tacos. Pick a protein and enjoy your life. All tacos are Double Deckers. You get a crunchy taco protected by melted cheese and a soft tortilla. I love every taco. And the blacked mahi taco had an absolutely beautifully cooked piece of fish. Be back again soon This is a must stop and if parking is full go find a spot somewhere and walk over it's worth it.

We had a wonderful experience at Mojo's Tacos! We came in on a Tuesday night around 6:30, and there was only one other group in line to order. I ordered a shrimp taco and skirt steak taco, and we found a table outside. It's a more casual atmosphere, as you order at the counter then they bring out your food. Our food came in about 10 minutes. Both my tacos were amazing, especially the skirt steak one. We also got a side of queso which was some of the best queso I've had, and great to dip my taco in. Overall, great place for a quick easy dinner with high quality food and affordable prices.

First off, let me just say that this place is SUCH a lifesaver on those scorching hot Florida days. We came here after shopping around for a little bit and the sun was baking us dry. The inside is so nice and dark and cool it was refreshing. Food-wise: we got the nachos and the arepas. The portions are very generous and they make sure to have toppings throughout both the nachos and arepas so it's not just the surface. Good little taco joint, great for a pickmeup/refresher after a busy morning/day at the beach or exploring Besides, easy parking and dog-friendly too

Always so good! We always opt for a couple of tacos-chicken for me-Mahi and a shrimp for the hubby. Split a queso -- love the vibe, love the food--we will be back!

A must!! Stopped in on a day trip to St Augustine and this place was so yummy! Such a popular spot that can get busy but it moves relatively timely! Such a cute surf taco shop. I love the double decker/hard shell and soft shell combination of their tacos and the arepas was also delicious. With the side of chips, everything hit the spot. They offer mahi, shrimp, barbacoa, pork, and chicken, all of which were so good. The workers were also so nice as well. I'd definitely recommend this place for a meal!

I had such a fantastic experience at Mojo Tacos that I had to share. The food was absolutely delicious, but what really made this visit stand out was the combination of incredible staff and true gluten‑free awareness. As someone with celiac, eating out can be stressful, but the team here was not only incredibly friendly -- they were also genuinely knowledgeable about gluten‑free requirements and cross‑contamination. They took every precaution, and for the first time in a long time, I felt completely comfortable enjoying a meal I didn't have to prepare myself. I don't eat out very often, but when I do, Mojo Tacos will be at the top of my list from now on. Great food, great people, and thoughtful care for dietary needs. Highly recommend.

Came here close to close with some friends when visited them and was glad that we did! First thing I noticed was even though we entered 15 minutes before they closed, I felt we were treated as if we just walked in when they opened and it was very clean! The level of customer service was top notch ! We even took our time looking at the menu , dined inside and never once felt pressured for us to leave. Ordered two different arepas and it was delicious!!! Also got some mojo sauce on the side and wish I had more. I think they have the best hot sauce I've ever tried Food was delicious! Even though I'm use to Venezuelan arepas and it wasn't similar, it still was worth every bite! Great place for vegans and carnivore to enjoy a meal out! My only complaint would be I got the raspberry tea in the glass jar and wouldn't get it again.

Mojos tacos have the best food. I am hooked on the mahi tacos, I've been eating one every morning, for three days straight. Service and cook are top notch.

Amazing little joint off of st Augustine blvd. We were just driving and pull in and oh boy , happy we did. The small restaurant had a menu over the counter and the staff were friendly. You can eat at the restaurant or you can take the food to go. It seemed to be a mix. When we received the food, the portions were nice and the food was excellent and everything is made from scratch and it's all fresh! Will go back!

I wish I had photos :( I had an order of the spicy chorizo tacos and WOW they were absolutely phenomenal. Packed with flavor and just the right amount of kick. The drinks? so damn good. I drowned myself in their margarita. The atmosphere was vibrant but not overwhelming. Lots of people watching with great energy, a beautiful space, and just an overall vibe. After a few minutes we got our drinks and It started to rain so she suggested we go to the bar. Another awful woman said we would need to go outside. You want us to stand outside in the rain, one of us asked. She stormed off slinging things around to demonstrate her petty frustration truth her customers to whom they had sold drinks. A gentleman behind the bar said we could stay at the bar but the bar was closing. (Inside there were many tables still eating, and some customers stayed out outside eating under their umbrellas. Another woman, much more gracious, approached us and said we would indeed need to go the bar on the first floor as they were still open. Okay we said, but when we got to the bar, another unhappy lady behind the downstairs bar said no, they were closing the bar and suggested we drink outside. It's raining outside, we said, and the staff upstairs said to come here. Well, we are closing, she said and you can't sit here. There were several tables still eating downstairs too. We put our drinks down and walked across the street to the Tradewinds where they couldn't have been more friendly or welcoming. We will be back in Old Town tonight and we won't be stopping back at Casa Reina. Una Reina Que tál vez tiene un baton metida por su culo. Hasta nunca.

Large portions, beautiful plates and silverware, and quaint, cozy ambiance in America's oldest city. Fast forward to Saturday the 14th, and I'm back again with family visiting from out of the country. The food was good, but the vibe was a bit different. Started with chips & salsa - good, but hardly any chips. We had 3/4 of a dish of salsa remaining after finishing the chips, and we were told that we would have to pay for a refill of chips. Very sad! We also ordered two taco platters, and three chicken quesadilla platters. Food was good, but the side portions (beans and rice) were very small, and served in tiny plastic cups. The plates and silverware were replaced with cardboard plates/trays and plastic cutlery. Although the food was good, the presentation was disappointing. Our waitress did a good job, so kudos to her! $120+ before a tip - a couple more chips would have been nice, and real plates and silver would have been amazing.....just saying.

Cold Midwest refugees, meet your Mexican savior (with a side of nostalgia)…read more We were visiting from -- or more accurately, escaping -- the frozen Midwest to soak up the magic of St. Augustine's Night of Lights. Magical? Yes. Crowded? Also yes. Parking? A full-contact sport. So we did what any rational, slightly hangry tourists would do: asked ChatGPT for a local favorite with parking that wouldn't make us cry. Enter Cantina Louie -- and honestly, bless this place. First impressions: the atmosphere is a little kitschy, cute, and refreshingly simple. Nothing pretentious, nothing trying too hard. In fact, we were about 90% sure it used to be an old Pizza Hut -- you know, the Pizza Hut -- with the iconic red roof. And honestly? That just unlocked a wave of childhood nostalgia. Somewhere between ordering breadsticks in the '90s and now ordering margaritas as adults, it all came full circle. Now, the food. We ordered La Parrilla, which arrived like it had something to prove. Fajita chicken, pulled pork, carne asada, steak carne asada, and Mexican street corn all piled together in a sizzling, aromatic flex. Every bite made us pause, look at each other, and ask, "Wait... is THIS the best one?" Spoiler: we never decided. As if that wasn't enough, we added the appetizer sampler, because self-control was not on the itinerary. Two enchiladas, mini taquitos, pineapple pork al pastor, avocado, salsa, and guacamole -- basically a greatest-hits album of Mexican comfort food. And the salsa? Unreal. We debated drinking it. With a straw. No shame. Let's talk value. All that food came in under $40. Under. Forty. Dollars. In a tourist town. During peak season. Somewhere, an accountant wept tears of joy. To hydrate (for science), we ordered two 1850 margaritas -- one classic, one strawberry. Both were generously sized, dangerously smooth, and absolutely doing the Lord's work. One sip in and we forgot all about traffic, crowds, and the cold Midwest we left behind. Final verdict: Cantina Louie didn't just save us from parking chaos -- it fed us, watered us, and gave us a warm hug of Pizza Hut nostalgia. If you're in St. Augustine during Night of Lights and don't want to wrestle a parking meter for tacos, this is the move. We came for the lights. We stayed for the salsa.
