Casa maya has the cutest most welcoming vibe when you come in to have some tacos and share some drinks with friends and family .the caps were delicious and the avocados were so fresh n they have a great lunch menu with food options and also vegan options . We took a seat on the outdoor patio and there was a life performer and it was a very chill vibe . The service was fast and we didn't wait too long .

This mexican restaurant / bar was pretty cute with their outdoor shaded patio and live music. Lots of fans to mitigate the humidity. We only enjoyed drinks, but every food dish that passed by looked and smelled amazing. The guy at the bar beside us had the ceviche app and the lamb dinner and he swore it was the best options on the menu. I was surprised there werent any tacos on the menu (seems like a missed opportunity). I liked my guavarita a lot! But I'd def go back!

Wanted to find a place for lunch with a nice atmosphere and good Mexican food. I stumbled upon this place on my walk touring the town. I heard some music and walked in to a fun and beautiful place with lots of outdoor seating. I sat at the bar and a young girl greeted me right away and eventually a guy named Christian came and took over. They were very friendly and she recommended I get the pork carnita. My first bite of the pork took me back to only one other place of when I had something similar. It was so delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Great place to have lunch or just hang out and have a cocktail while listening to some live tunes.

The food quality is outstanding!! It was so good the first evening we came back again. Apps are all good but try the Ceviche! Every entrée was fantastic. The chipotle Maya (chicken) was 5*!. Try spice level 2. Service staff were great, friendly and made perfect recommendations.

Went for lunch and ordered the Apocalypto Breakfast Torta. The baked bread really made this sandwich top notch. The flavors all meshed really well together. Especially loved the guacamole and bacon. They also had a habanero hot sauce that gave it that extra kick I needed as I love spicy food. Sat in their outdoor seating which also had heating lamps. They were supposed to have a live performer but it never happened. Good ambiance and good food.

Atmosphere is good. Had some live music during our meal. The food is ok not bad not spectacular. Unfortunately, my meal wasn't very good. They had some spoiled or rotten crab legs that was part of the dish. After eating one leg I complained thinking it was raw. The waiter brought me some new crab legs and said someone else had just said the same thing. So I tried the new ones. I immediately spit it out. The waiter said they were taking them off the menu as they were bad. They reduced the cost of my meal. Appreciate that but I'm surprised they didn't just comp it. Prices are overpriced for the food you get. I don't see me returning there.

We had a nice lunch at Casa Maya. We sat inside upstairs because of the heat and had the place pretty much to ourselves. The old historic house was cozy and felt authentically St. Augustine. For drinks we got a couple sangrias and beers. Wish the beer menu was a little bigger but they did have a few seasonal rotations. The cocktails were good and not too sweet. We got the tacos and the carne asada. All the food was great and came out relatively quick. Initially I was worried that the tacos wouldn't be enough food but you get three stuffed tacos and beans and rice. Was plenty of food even if it was a little overpriced considering the quality. Our server was attentive even though we were his only table upstairs for most of the meal. The only negatives with the experience were the higher prices than what you might expect given the food and location and the auto gratuity. The gratuity was added and buried in the receipt with the part you sign only showing the final price. Nowhere was it mentioned that gratuity would be included and we almost double tipped because it wasn't apparent it was added. That part kind of turned us off what was otherwise a really nice meal. Even still, we will likely return and look forward to sitting out on the balcony when the weather is a little cooler.

My go to spot for drink in St. Aug. If you make it there before 4pm you can get tacos! And they are amazing! Great food, amazing drinks and sometimes there is live music!

The combination of imaginative cocktails, exceptional food, and a unique atmosphere makes every visit memorable. The cocktail program is outstanding. We enjoy trying a variety of their exotic and inventive drinks, and they never disappoint. The flavors are bold, creative, and unlike anything you'll find at a typical restaurant bar. The Yellow Submarine cocktail is quite possibly the best drink I have ever consumed. Made with curry-infused Bermuda black rum, lime, ginger, and Asian five-spice brown sugar syrup, it sounded unusual on paper but came together beautifully. I enjoyed it so much that I ordered four of them that evening, something I rarely do. That was three years ago, and despite returning several times since then, I have never seen it on the menu again. The food is equally impressive. Two years ago, I ordered the Skillet Roasted New York Strip served with Yukon Gold potato-anna, roasted asparagus and spring onions, watercress, and black truffle hollandaise. To this day, it remains one of the top five restaurant meals I have ever eaten. Every component on the plate was exceptional. The steak was perfectly prepared, the crispy potato galette was irresistible, and the black truffle hollandaise elevated the entire dish to another level. It was the kind of meal that stays with you long after the plate is cleared. I would gladly drive 300 miles just to eat it again. Most recently, I had the wild mushroom bisque, and it was the best soup I have ever consumed. Rich, creamy, buttery, intensely mushroomy, and perfectly balanced, it was everything a mushroom soup should be. The addition of crispy pickled onions and crème fraîche added texture and contrast that made an already outstanding soup even better. My wife and I enjoyed it so much that we returned the very next day hoping to order it again, only to discover it had already rotated off the menu. My only complaint about The Ice Plant is that some of their greatest creations seem to disappear as quickly as they arrive. While I appreciate the constantly evolving menu and understand that seasonal changes are part of what makes the restaurant special, there are certain items that deserve a permanent home. The Yellow Submarine cocktail, the wild mushroom bisque, and the Skillet Roasted New York Strip with black truffle hollandaise are three of the finest things I have experienced there. The fact that I can vividly remember one of these items from three years ago and another from two years ago says everything. Great restaurants serve good food. Truly special restaurants create dishes and drinks that stay with you for years. The Ice Plant has done that for me more than once, and that is why we continue to return whenever we visit St. Augustine.

When I arrived with my pregnant wife and my service dog, he asked somewhat curtly if it was a service dog. After I confirmed and thanked him, he rudely placed the menu on the table, turned around without saying another word or showing any basic courtesy, and just walked away with his back to us. It was a pretty cold and uncomfortable welcome. That said, the restaurant is absolutely charming. I really loved the interior ambiance--it's cozy, well-decorated, and has a very pleasant vibe. The food was extremely delicious. We ordered the Half Pound Ice Plant Burger and it was juicy, fresh, and packed with flavor. You could taste the quality in every single bite--the meat was perfect, the ingredients fresh, and everything very well balanced. Definitely one of the best burgers I've had recently. Despite the initial host experience, I would return without hesitation for the food and the atmosphere. Highly recommended, but they could improve the initial greeting.

Started with chips & salsa - good, but hardly any chips. We had 3/4 of a dish of salsa remaining after finishing the chips, and we were told that we would have to pay for a refill of chips. Very sad! We also ordered two taco platters, and three chicken quesadilla platters. Food was good, but the side portions (beans and rice) were very small, and served in tiny plastic cups. The plates and silverware were replaced with cardboard plates/trays and plastic cutlery. Although the food was good, the presentation was disappointing. Our waitress did a good job, so kudos to her! $120+ before a tip - a couple more chips would have been nice, and real plates and silver would have been amazing.....just saying.
