Fajita chicken taco and steak taco

These people can take my money any day. The service was STANDOUT - not something you expect at what seems like kind of a hole in the wall place. Travis was so kind to our kiddos - small gestures like giving us a quarter for the gumball machine and rushing over to save the day with rags and a "spill sticker" right as my kid was about to lose his mind after accidentally spilling an entire cup of consommé. The tacos were SO good, as was everyone else we ate and drank. Guacamole was a standout. Mint lemonade or whatever special drink I had was so refreshing. We will absolutely come back anytime we are in St. Augustine. My only regret is rushing through my meal (due to having two small nap-ready kids) and not savoring every single bite.

Tried this location while in town. Food was ok. I got the chicken salad. The chicken is shredded with a spicy chipotle sauce. It was sitting on a bed of spinach type lettuce which didn't match "Mexican" food. The queso reminded me of chez whiz. My husband said his steak salad was good and he would give this restaurant 3 stars.

We had a wonderful experience at Mojo's Tacos! We came in on a Tuesday night around 6:30, and there was only one other group in line to order. I ordered a shrimp taco and skirt steak taco, and we found a table outside. It's a more casual atmosphere, as you order at the counter then they bring out your food. Our food came in about 10 minutes. Both my tacos were amazing, especially the skirt steak one. We also got a side of queso which was some of the best queso I've had, and great to dip my taco in. Overall, great place for a quick easy dinner with high quality food and affordable prices.

Surf Beach Chill Taco Burrito Bowl Cafe. Best menu on the planet for someone like me. Easy to order if you love tacos. Pick a protein and enjoy your life. All tacos are Double Deckers. You get a crunchy taco protected by melted cheese and a soft tortilla. I love every taco. And the blacked mahi taco had an absolutely beautifully cooked piece of fish. Be back again soon This is a must stop and if parking is full go find a spot somewhere and walk over it's worth it.

First off, let me just say that this place is SUCH a lifesaver on those scorching hot Florida days. We came here after shopping around for a little bit and the sun was baking us dry. The inside is so nice and dark and cool it was refreshing. Food-wise: we got the nachos and the arepas. The portions are very generous and they make sure to have toppings throughout both the nachos and arepas so it's not just the surface. Good little taco joint, great for a pickmeup/refresher after a busy morning/day at the beach or exploring Besides, easy parking and dog-friendly too

Always so good! We always opt for a couple of tacos-chicken for me-Mahi and a shrimp for the hubby. Split a queso -- love the vibe, love the food--we will be back!

I had such a fantastic experience at Mojo Tacos that I had to share. The food was absolutely delicious, but what really made this visit stand out was the combination of incredible staff and true gluten‑free awareness. As someone with celiac, eating out can be stressful, but the team here was not only incredibly friendly -- they were also genuinely knowledgeable about gluten‑free requirements and cross‑contamination. They took every precaution, and for the first time in a long time, I felt completely comfortable enjoying a meal I didn't have to prepare myself. I don't eat out very often, but when I do, Mojo Tacos will be at the top of my list from now on. Great food, great people, and thoughtful care for dietary needs. Highly recommend.

A must!! Stopped in on a day trip to St Augustine and this place was so yummy! Such a popular spot that can get busy but it moves relatively timely! Such a cute surf taco shop. I love the double decker/hard shell and soft shell combination of their tacos and the arepas was also delicious. With the side of chips, everything hit the spot. They offer mahi, shrimp, barbacoa, pork, and chicken, all of which were so good. The workers were also so nice as well. I'd definitely recommend this place for a meal!

Came here close to close with some friends when visited them and was glad that we did! First thing I noticed was even though we entered 15 minutes before they closed, I felt we were treated as if we just walked in when they opened and it was very clean! The level of customer service was top notch ! We even took our time looking at the menu , dined inside and never once felt pressured for us to leave. Ordered two different arepas and it was delicious!!! Also got some mojo sauce on the side and wish I had more. I think they have the best hot sauce I've ever tried Food was delicious! Even though I'm use to Venezuelan arepas and it wasn't similar, it still was worth every bite! Great place for vegans and carnivore to enjoy a meal out! My only complaint would be I got the raspberry tea in the glass jar and wouldn't get it again.

Mojos tacos have the best food. I am hooked on the mahi tacos, I've been eating one every morning, for three days straight. Service and cook are top notch.

A huge shoutout to Kaylie behind the bar--she was fantastic. Friendly, attentive, and clearly knows her craft. Every drink she made was spot-on and she really elevated our whole experience. I did have a less positive interaction with another bartender (Jeremy) who came across as a bit dismissive and not very welcoming. I saw him roll his eyes at a coworker when she turned her back. It stood in stark contrast to the otherwise great service we received. That said, Kaylie absolutely made the afternoon amazing for us, and I'd highly recommend stopping by--especially if you get the chance to sit at her bar!

She seemed like she was always eager to leave the table, but then go talk to other employees. I needed to get up from my table to look for hot sauce. Cold Midwest refugees, meet your Mexican savior (with a side of nostalgia)…read more We were visiting from -- or more accurately, escaping -- the frozen Midwest to soak up the magic of St. Augustine's Night of Lights. Magical? Yes. Crowded? Also yes. Parking? A full-contact sport. So we did what any rational, slightly hangry tourists would do: asked ChatGPT for a local favorite with parking that wouldn't make us cry. Enter Cantina Louie -- and honestly, bless this place. First impressions: the atmosphere is a little kitschy, cute, and refreshingly simple. Nothing pretentious, nothing trying too hard. In fact, we were about 90% sure it used to be an old Pizza Hut -- you know, the Pizza Hut -- with the iconic red roof. And honestly? That just unlocked a wave of childhood nostalgia. Somewhere between ordering breadsticks in the '90s and now ordering margaritas as adults, it all came full circle. Now, the food. We ordered La Parrilla, which arrived like it had something to prove. Fajita chicken, pulled pork, carne asada, steak carne asada, and Mexican street corn all piled together in a sizzling, aromatic flex. Every bite made us pause, look at each other, and ask, "Wait... is THIS the best one?" Spoiler: we never decided. As if that wasn't enough, we added the appetizer sampler, because self-control was not on the itinerary. Two enchiladas, mini taquitos, pineapple pork al pastor, avocado, salsa, and guacamole -- basically a greatest-hits album of Mexican comfort food. And the salsa? Unreal. We debated drinking it. With a straw. No shame. Let's talk value. All that food came in under $40. Under. Forty. Dollars. In a tourist town. During peak season. Somewhere, an accountant wept tears of joy. To hydrate (for science), we ordered two 1850 margaritas -- one classic, one strawberry. Both were generously sized, dangerously smooth, and absolutely doing the Lord's work. One sip in and we forgot all about traffic, crowds, and the cold Midwest we left behind. Final verdict: Cantina Louie didn't just save us from parking chaos -- it fed us, watered us, and gave us a warm hug of Pizza Hut nostalgia. If you're in St. Augustine during Night of Lights and don't want to wrestle a parking meter for tacos, this is the move. We came for the lights. We stayed for the salsa.

We got off the trolley at Stop 20, National Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche, and were going to walk to the restaurant. Unbeknownst to us, there was no crosswalk to cross the busy Ponce de Leon boulevard. Mom isn't as spry as she once was so we didn't risk crossing without a crosswalk, so we had to walk another 1/4 or so to the nearest crosswalk then doubled back to the restaurant. Located in the The Ponce St. Augustine hotel, the restaurant is just to the left of the main doors. We had to wait a bit to get seated as the lone server had to clean a table first. Service was slow. I ordered the Bistec a Caballo (medium), my wife tried their Pork de Leon with fries and my mom opted for the Inca bowl. Did I say service was slow? Our orders weren't synched up. My order and my wife's sandwich were served first and we had to wait a few minutes before my mom's dish was served. My wife liked her sandwich and fries although she thought the shredded pork was a bit dry. My mom liked the flavors of her dish, with tender cuts of meat and smoky soy sauce flavor. The Bistec a Caballo had decent flavors BUT that steak was tough, even ordered medium. I felt like I was cutting through shoe leather cutting it with the serrated knife. Slow service and a tough steak bumped our rating down. We just couldn't overlook the quality and/or preparation of my steak, even with good flavors. Lunch for 3 came out to just over $67 with tip.
